    Requirements for information technology application competence for Vietnam agro-forestry students in the time of the 4th technology revolution

    The professional work of today's agricultural and forestry engineers is changing dramatically under the impact of the 4th industrial revolution. In that context, the competence to apply information technology (IT) is one of the core and significant competencies. Therefore, in order for training products to meet the needs of society, one of the problems that training facility for agriculture and forestry industry need to solve is to clearly identify the basic requirements for agro-forestry graduates to meet the basic requirements of IT application competence. Based on theoretical and practical research on the IT application competence of each job position and the trend of employment change in the 4.0 period, the article presents the levels of IT application competence in the agro-forestry industry. On the basis of test results and opinions of experts and employers, the article has proposed the components and required levels of IT application competence for agro-forestry students. The research results, in addition to providing information on the current state of students' IT application competence, are also a good reference source for agro-forestry training institutions to set learning outcomes, develop training programs, and innovate new training methods to promptly provide high-quality human resources for the agro-forestry industry in the context of the 4th industrial revolution

    Competence framework of information technology for students of Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry

    Currently, with the positive impact of information technology (IT), the world’s agriculture is gradually shifting from the traditional agricultural model to the digital agricultural model, creating high productivity, increasing the product value and labor productivity. However, the agriculture with applied digital also requires laborers to be capable of applying IT in the agricultural sector. On the basis of theoretical research, output standards from bachelor training programs in the field of agriculture in the world and Vietnam, along with practical investigation results, the article focuses on two main contents: clarify the content of IT application capacity of a student in the field of agriculture and forestry; building a competence framework and assessment criteria for IT application competence for students in the field of agriculture and forestry. The results of the article are documents for Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry as well as training institutions for bachelors and engineers in agriculture and forestry to refer to in the process of developing training programs, assessing outcomes for students, as well as innovating training methods towards developing learners’ capacity

    On tracking control problem for polysolenoid motor model predictive approach

    The Polysolenoid Linear Motor (PLM) have been playing a crucial role in many industrial aspects due to its functions, in which a straight motion is provided directly without mediate mechanical actuators. Recently, with several commons on mathematic model, some control methods for PLM based on Rotational Motor have been applied, but position, velocity and current constraints which are important in real systems have been ignored. In this paper, position tracking control problem for PLM was considered under state-independent disturbances via min-max model predictive control. The proposed controller forces tracking position errors converge to small region of origin and satisfies state including position, velocity and currents constraints. Further, a numerical simulation was implemented to validate the performance of the proposed controller

    Cloning and expression of pigC gene in Escherichia coli

    Prodigiosin (Pg), which is particularly of interest because of anticancer and antimicrobial activities, can be produced through the PigC-catalyzed condensation reaction of 4-methoxy-2, 2’-bipyrrole-5-carboxyaldehyde (MBC) and 2-methyl-3-amylpyrrole (MAP). Therefore, the PigC protein plays an important role in prodigiosin biosynthetic pathway. However, studies related to PigC protein have not been carried out in Vietnam yet. In this work, the pigC gene was cloned and expressed in Escherichia coli DH10B and BL21 (DE3), respectively. Using PCR and universal primers, we amplified a fragment of 3 kb covering entire coding region of the pigC gene from Serratia sp. strain M5. The pigC gene was inserted into pJET1.2 vector, and then transformed into E. coli DH10B. The sequence of a recombinant vector pJET1.2/pigC was evaluated by using whole colony PCR amplification. Sequence alignment results revealed that the obtained pigC gene possesses 71.5% and 75.4% of nucleotide identity in comparison with two strains, Serratia 39006 and Serratia sp. AS9 published in GenBank with their respective accession numbers of AJ833001 and CP002773. The recombinant vector pJET1.2/pigC was used to reamplify pigC, and the acquired amplicon was inserted into pET22b vector at the site of HindIII and XhoI. The clone E. coli BL21 (DE3) containing recombinant vector pET22b/pigC was expressed in the auto-induced medium. The presence of PigC protein in the lysate was identified as a 100 kDa band through Western Blot analysis using anti his-tag antibody. Afterward, the PigC protein was purified by Ni-NTA column, and its expression level was quantified through SDS-PAGE analysis. The results of our study provide a potential material for producing prodigiosin from recombinant protein in Vietnam

    Fault-Tolerant Control for Non-sinusoidal Seven-phase PMSMs with Similar Copper Losses

    This paper proposes a strategy using new transformation matrices to calculate new current references when a non-sinusoidal seven-phase permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM) has an open-circuited phase. The new current references allow to obtain a smooth torque with similar copper losses in the remaining healthy phases even when the back electromotive force (back-EMF) is non-sinusoidal. A real-time current learning process using an adaptive linear neural network (Adaline) is applied to extract from measured currents useful harmonic components in torque generation. It improves torque quality, especially at high speed, even when standard proportional-integral (PI) controllers are applied. In addition, similar copper losses in the remaining phases with the new current references can avoid overheating of windings.     Key factors influencing on Vietnamese construction performance

    Together with the economic development, Vietnamese construction industry also develops very fast and occupies a large portion in economics. However, there are still many problems such as wastes, loses, low quality or low productivity relating to construction activities need to be improved. This paper aims at finding out the factors that influence on the performance of construction sites. A survey was carried out and found out 25 key factors that influence on the performance of construction sites. These factors are divided into six groups such as management, human resources, technology, finance, material/equipment and design after factor analysis. By ranking the importance of factors, this paper helps the contractors to focus on the most important factors to upgrade their competency

    Analyses of stiffened plates resting on the viscoelastic foundation subjected to a moving vehicle by a cell-based smoothed triangular plate element

    Recently, a cell-based smoothed discrete shear gap method (CS-FEM-DSG3) based on the firstorder shear deformation theory (FSDT) was proposed for static and free vibration analyses of Mindlin plates. The CS-FEM-DSG3 uses three-node triangular elements that can be easily generated automatically for arbitrary complicated geometric domains. This paper further extends the CS-FEMDSG3 for static, free vibration, and dynamic response of the stiffened plate resting on viscoelastic foundation subjected to a moving vehicle. The viscoelastic foundation is modeled by discrete springs and dampers whereas the stiffened plate can be considered as the combination between the Mindlin plate and the Timoshenko beam elements. The moving vehicle is transformed into one concentrated load at its central point. Some numerical examples are investigated and numerical results show that the CS-FEMDSG3 overcomes shear-locking phenomena and has a fast convergence. The results also illustrate the good agreement of the CS-FEM-DSG3 for static and free vibration analyses of un-stiffened plate compared with the previous published methods. In addition, the numerical results for dynamic analysis of stiffened plates by the CS-FEM-DSG3 also show the expected property in which the deflection of the stiffened plate is much smaller than those of the un-stiffened plate

    A Bibliometric Review on Realistic Mathematics Education in Scopus Database Between 1972-2019

    Despite receiving increasing attention from mathematics education scholars, there has not yet been any overall understanding of the current state of realistic mathematics education (RME). To address this gap, this study aims to provide a review of 288 studies on realistic mathematics education from the Scopus database between 1972 and 2019. Using descriptive and bibliometric analyses, this study addresses four research issues as follows: (i) the total volume, growth trajectory, and geographic distribution; (ii) the most influencing authors and research groups; (iii) the most influencing sources (i.e., journals, books, conferences); and (iv) the most important topics. Several implications for not only mathematics education scholars but also other stakeholders, including policymakers, school managers, mathematics teachers, may not be considered in this study
