Improved first order mean spherical approximation for simple fluids
A perturbation approach based on the first-order mean spherical approximation
(FMSA) is proposed. It consists in adopting a hard-sphere plus short-range
attractive Yukawa fluid as the novel reference system, over which the
perturbative solution of the Ornstein-Zernike equation is performed. A choice
of the optimal range of the reference attraction is discussed. The results are
compared against conventional FMSA/HS theory and Monte-Carlo simulation data
for compressibility factor and vapor-liquid phase diagrams of the medium-ranged
Yukawa fluid. Proposed theory keeps the same level of simplicity and
transparency, as the conventional FMSA/HS approach does, but shows to be more
accurate.Comment: 8 pages, 3 figure
Virial expansions and augmented van der Waals approach: Application to Lennard-Jones-like Yukawa fluid
We argue that recently proposed [Melnyk et al., Fluid Phase Equilibr., 2009,
Vol. 279, 1] a criterion to split the pair interaction energy into two parts,
one of which is forced to be responsible the most accurate as possible for
excluded volume energy in the system, results in expressions for the virial
coefficients that improve the performance of the virial equation of state in
general, and at subcritical temperatures, in particular. As an example,
application to the Lennard-Jones-like hard-core attractive Yukawa fluid is
discussed.Comment: 12 pages, 6 figure
Mean spherical approximation for the Lennard-Jones-like two Yukawa model: Comparison against Monte Carlo data
Monte Carlo simulation studies are performed for the Lennard-Jones like two
Yukawa (LJ2Y) potential to show how properties of this model fluid depend on
the replacement of the soft repulsion by the hard-core repulsion. Different
distances for the positioning of hard core have been explored. We have found,
that for temperatures that are slightly lower and slightly higher of the
critical point temperature for the Lennard-Jones fluid, placing the hard core
at distances that are shorter than zero-potential energy is well justified by
thermodynamic properties that are practically the same as in original LJ2Y
model without hard core. However, going to extreme conditions with the high
temperature one should be careful since presence of the hard core provokes
changes in the properties of the system. The later is extremely important when
the mean spherical approximation (MSA) theory is applied to treat the
Lennard-Jones-like fluid.Comment: 11 pages, 13 figure
Development of burdock leaves dense extract obtaining technology
Optimum conditions of extraction have been selected and a technology for producing a thick extract from the leaves of burdock has been developed. The optimum parameters are: extraction with 40% ethyl alcohol in a ratio of raw material – the extractant as 1:7. The yield under the predetermined conditions is more than 25%, the quantitative content of flavonoids – 1.50%. In the future, it is advisable to standardize the resulting extract, which will create the preconditions for expanding the range of sources
of raw materials for herbal remedies with anti-inflammatory action

Problems and prospects of medical provision for military personnel with COVID-19 in the conditions of medical insurance
To date, the treatment of patients with COVID-19, which caused an unprecedented pandemic in 2019–2023, remains difficult. Military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during conscription, when returning from business trips and vacations (especially those who are in the incubation period or are asymptomatic) can bring COVID-19 into the unit and cause an outbreak of the disease.
The purpose of the work was to conduct an analysis of the existing models of the functioning of insurance medicine in some countries in the world and in Ukraine for their further possible application in the system of medical support of the Armed Forces; factors and conditions affecting the course of the disease on COVID-19 were additionally studied.
The main preventive measures against the spread of COVID-19 among military personnel are compliance with sanitary standards, control of disease symptoms and timely vaccination or revaccination. In the treatment of patients with COVID-19, depending on the conditions of stay and the severity of the disease, the following groups of drugs are used: analgesics and antipyretics, rehydration, antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal, low molecular weight heparins, systemic corticosteroids and vitamins, which military personnel receive free of charge. The creation of an effective system of insurance medicine in Ukraine should provide for the possibility for servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to receive medical care in any health care facility, regardless of departmental subordination, by creating an electronic medical card of a serviceman, which will be included in the electronic health care system of Ukraine.
The conducted studies make it possible to draw a conclusion about the need for improvement and further development of the scientific and practical foundations of systematic research in the military medical service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, improving the quality and efficiency of medical support for servicemen, introducing modern approaches and methods of making sound management decisions on issues of protection and prevention of proliferation COVID-19
Marketing analysis of some groups antidiabetic medicines, presented at pharmaceutical market of Ukraine
The scarcity of state resources, the social economic and demographic situation, the deterioration of health status of population require new state approaches of organizing medical and pharmaceutical provision for the population. The aim of the study is the drug supply for patients with type ІІ diabetes. Relevance of theme is determined by the prevalence of the disease, the development of complex concomitant diseases, complications, early disability and high mortality due to low-quality and untimely medical and pharmaceutical care for this category of patients.
The object of marketing research was the drugs registered in Ukraine, which cost is the subject to reimbursement for outpatient treatment of patients with type ІІ diabetes by the conditions of March 2017. The search for the proposals of drugs under study on the website of Morion Company was also conducted to assess the real state of the pharmaceutical market on this issue. The main used methods are bibliographic, statistical, marketing, graphic and systematization.
The Ukrainian pharmaceutical market of drugs with the cost, which is the subject to reimbursement for outpatient treatment of patients with type II diabetes, has been investigated, and found that Gliclazide and Metformin are registered on the territory of Ukraine in the form of 22 and 91 medicines, respectively. The part of domestic producers of Gliclazide and Metformin is 36% and 33%, respectively.
It was revealed, that the assortment of drugs Gliclazide and Metformin, which are available in the pharmacy network, is 2 and 1.4 times less than registered in Ukraine, respectively.
Gliclazide and Metformin tablets are offered by domestic and foreign manufacturers in a dosage of 30 mg, 60 mg, 80 mg and 500 mg, 800 mg, 1 000 mg, respectively
Analysis of antiviral use efficiency criteria in the complex pharmacotherapy of community acquired pneumonia
According to modern view, bacterial pathogens are the leading and most common cause of community-acquired pneumonia (CAP), but at the same time the results of numerous microbiological studies conducted in recent years showed that viruses confidently play the next leading role of CAP causes. Today, antiviral therapy is successfully used within the complex therapy of respiratory diseases, which allows reduction of the disease severity and minimizes the risk of complications. The main requirements for the antiviral drug are fully responsive to the new antiviral drug vitaglutam, the active component of which is pentanedioic acid imidazolyl ethanamide, is a low molecular weight compound, an analogue of the natural peptidoamine.
The aim of the work. Mathematical modeling and analysis of clinical and laboratory indicators dynamics of CAP with additional antiviral pharmacotherapy based on pentanedioic acid imidazolyl ethanamide.
In the study, it was used retrospective data of 106 patients with mild form of CAP of viral and bacterial etiology. Patients were randomly divided into two groups. In the 1st main group (50 patients), antibacterial therapy was combined with the antiviral drug vitaglutam. Analysis of antiviral therapy efficiency was provided by grouping of patients and determination of their distribution by gradations of clinical and laboratory indicators, as well as the construction of a mathematical model of their dynamics.
According to modeling results, the rate of body temperature normalization, which was higher in patients taking vitaglutam, was a clear criterion for the efficiency of antiviral therapy. With additional antiviral therapy, the dynamics of sputum in the lungs was less intense. Positive clinical changes were accompanied by an improvement in the clinical blood analysis indicators, namely, more significant was the dynamics of ESR decrease. At the same time, dynamics of leukocytes number in patients’ blood was approximately the same in both groups.
Analysis of dynamics of clinical and laboratory indicators using the proposed mathematical model suggests that additional prescription of vitaglutam to empirical stepwise antibiotic therapy can significantly reduce the time to achieve clinical and laboratory results of treatment of patients with CAP of viral and bacterial etiology

Organization of medical care for children in Ukraine (review of literature)
The realization of high quality medical measures for protecting children’s health remains an important issue at the stage of reforming the domestic medicine. The aim of this work was to study and analyze the system of medical aid for children in Ukraine. The research focused on normative-legal acts regulating the organization of medical aid for children. The research methods are informative, retrospective, historical, logical and analytical.
The analysis of normative-legal documents regulating the organization of rendering of medical aid for children established their formality and economic groundlessness.
According to January 2017, only 35 documents were included into the Registry of medical technological documents in the direction of «Pediatrics». It means that many children’s pathological states are not covered by standardization, what reduces the quality of medical aid.
The national programs for the improvement of health status of children remained unrealized due to the lack of funding, ill-coordinated links between program implementers, the lack of effective monitoring of the quality and results of realizing the state programs. The implementation result of IMChI strategy was the reduction of mortality rate in children of different age groups in the pilot regions. In terms of reforming the combined model (model III) is the most effective and acceptable for pediatric care rendering.
The population expenses reach nearly half of the total funding of the sector, what demonstrates the inconsistencies between the real state of children’s assurance in the health care system of Ukraine and national normative acts.
It was determined the necessity of structural reorganization of the system, the optimization of beds number, the increase of medical care funding from state and local budgets, the raising of resource efficiency of health care system and the continued development and implementation of modern protocols (standards) for the treatment of children pathologies
