Weighted oscillator strengths and lifetimes for the SiVI spectrum

    Get PDF
The weighted oscillator strengths (g f) and the lifetimes for Si VI presented in this work were carried out in a multiconfiguration Hartree-Fock relativistic (HFR) approach. In this calculation, the electrostatic parameters were optimized by a least squares procedure, in order to improve the adjustment to experimental energy levels. This method produces gf-values that are in better agreement with intensity observations and lifetime values that are closer to the experimental ones. In this work we presented all the experimentally known electric dipole Si VI spectral lines.121259159

Atomic transitions for the Ar VII spectrum in the vacuum ultraviolet

    Get PDF
Two different spectroscopy light sources are used to observe the spectrum of six-times-ionized argon, Ar VII, in the vacuum ultraviolet range, 300-1100 Angstrom. Fifty-eight transitions are identified as combinations between levels of the 2p(6) (3s(2) + 3p(2) + 3s3d) and 2p(6)(3s3p + 3p3d + 3s4p) configurations. For 44 of these transitions the classification is new. Twenty-nine levels are determined that belong to these configurations, where 14 of these are new. The energy parameters are obtained with Hartree-Fock relativistic calculations. The energy levels of the configurations are interpreted by fitting the theoretical energy expressions to the experimental levels with the least-squares approach. Isoelectronic comparisons along the Mg I sequence are used to support the experimental results. (C) 1997 Optical Society of America.14102463246

    3 d(2) configuration in six-times-ionized argon, ArVII

The transition array 2p(6)3p3d-2p(6)3d(2) has been identified in the spectrum of magnesium-like Ar vii produced by electrical discharges in the vacuum-ultraviolet region. Twenty-five new transitions have been identified as combinations of levels of this transition array. From these transitions we have determined the levels of the 3d(2) configuration. It was also possible to determine the 2p(6)3p3d(1)D(2)(o) level that was missed in the early research with the Ar vii spectrum. Hartree-Fock calculations with relativistic corrections were used to predict energy levels and transitions. Isoelectronic comparisons along the Mg I sequence are used to support the experimental results. (C) 2001 Optical Society of America.18111718172

Studies of the collision-based Xe VI and Xe VII spectra

Collision-based spectroscopy of a Xeq+ (q = 6, 7) beam with a target T (T = Na, Ar) has been performed in the 35-800-nm wavelength region. Twenty-five new Xe VI lines and twenty-two new Xe VII lines were classified, twelve new energy levels of Xe VI and nine new energy levels of Xe VII were established, and one energy level of Xe VI was revised from the classified transitions. The analysis was supported by Hartree-Fock calculations. (C) 1997 Optical Society of America [S0740-3224(97)00512-2].14123277328

The weighted oscillator strengths (gf) presented in this work were carried out in a Multiconfigurational Hartree-Fock Relativistic (HFR) approach. In this calculation, the electrostatic parameters were optimized by a least-square procedure, in order to improve the adjustment to experimental energy levels.
