    Approach to access the Remote device in same network using Virtual Network Computing: An Accessibility Endeavor

    Cellular phones have shown an impressive progress in their functionality to a point where it is now possible to have cellular phones execute Java programs. As a result, cellular users all over the world are now able to read as well as write e-mail, browse Web pages, and play Java games by means of their cellular phones. This development has prompted us to put forward the use of a cellular phone as a device for remotely controlling computers. Here, we will draft the process to access the home screen of remote computer using Virtual Network Computing based architecture with the use of an android phone. The user will be able to access the screen of remote computer through a browser on the users phone. The primary criteria for the connection to be established is that both the desktop and mobile phone should be in the same wifi network. The image of the screen is compacted before it is sent to the phone. There is a provision for the left and right mouse click on the client side browser. The prototype is already implemented using java in Net Beans Integrated Development Environment using java server pages (JSP) and tested on an android based smart phone and tablet.     Substituted Coumarin Derivatives: Synthesis and Evaluation of Antiproliferative and Src Kinase Inhibitory Activities

    Six classes of coumarin derivatives (i.e. 3-alkyl-4-methylcoumarins, pyranocoumarins, coumarin carboxamides, quaternary ammonium coumarins, 7-aminocoumarins, and 4-aminocoumarins) were synthesized and evaluated for inhibition of cell proliferation of colon adenocarcinoma (HT-29), breast carcinoma (MDA-MB-468 or MCF-7), and human ovarian adenocarcinoma (SK-OV-3) cells. C-3-Alkyl substituted analogs of 4-methylcoumarins and pyranocoumarins, 5 and 6, inhibited the cell proliferation of MDA-MB-468 and SK-OV-3 cells by 53-74%, while 3-decyl substituted pyranocoumarin 10 and triethyl substituted quaternary ammonium coumarin derivative 29 inhibited the cell proliferation of HT-29 and SK-OV-3 cells by 63-72% at a concentration of 50 μM. Among all the compounds studied, C-3 decyl substituted quaternary ammonium coumarin derivative 25 exhibited the highest Src kinase inhibition with an IC 50 value of 21.6 μM

    Local community satisfaction toward tourism development in Pushkar Region of Rajasthan, India

    Satisfaction of local residents is one of the key factors in responsible and sustainable tourism development. It helps tourism planners and policymakers in effective and strategic utilization of tourism resources. The present study investigates local residents’ satisfaction level toward sustainable tourism development through economic, socio-cultural, and environmental development. In order to achieve the goal of the study, one-sample t-test, regression analysis, and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) were performed. The findings of the study have suggested that local residents have a different level of satisfaction towards overall sustainable development and economic, socio-cultural, and environmental development in the study area. It was also observed that there is a high positive correlation among economic, socio-cultural, and environmental developments, and these developments significantly impact sustainable tourism development

    Abstract Dendrimers are the polymeric materials for targeted delivery of drug molecule. These are the highly branched nanoscopic structure for the potential delivery of bioactive. The structure of these materials has a great impact on their physical and chemical properties. As a result of their unique behaviour dendrimers are suitable for a wide range of biomedical and industrial applications. The bioactive agents can be easily encapsulated into the interior of the dendrimers or chemically attached i.e. conjugated or physically adsorbed onto the dendrimer surface, serving the desired properties of the carrier to the specific needs of the active material and its therapeutic applications. In addition to supplying a multivalent backbone for drug attachment, dendrimers also provide access to various new polymer architectures that are potentially relevant to drug delivery applications.     Sarcocystis cymruensis: discovery in Western Hemisphere in the Brown rat (Rattus norvegicus) from Grenada, West Indies: redescription, molecular characterization, and transmission to IFN-γ gene knockout mice via sporocysts from experimentally infected domestic cat (Felis catus)

    Rodents are intermediate hosts for many species of Sarcocystis. Little is known of Sarcocystis cymruensis that uses the Brown rat (Rattus norvegicus) as intermediate hosts and the domestic cat (Felis catus) as experimental definitive host. Here, we identified and described Sarcocystis cymruensis in naturally infected R. norvegicus from Grenada, West Indies. Rats (n = 167) were trapped in various locations in two parishes (St. George and St. David). Microscopic, thin (\u3c 1 μm) walled, slender sarcocysts were found in 11 of 156 (7.0%) rats skeletal muscles by squash examination. A laboratory-raised cat fed naturally infected rat tissues excreted sporocysts that were infectious for interferon gamma gene knockout (KO) mice, but not to Swiss Webster outbred albino mice. All inoculated mice remained asymptomatic, and microscopic S. cymruensis-like sarcocysts were found in the muscles of KO mice euthanized on day 70, 116, and 189 post inoculation (p.i.). Sarcocysts from infected KO mice were infective for cats at day 116 but not at 70 days p.i. By transmission electron microscopy, the sarcocyst wall was Btype 1a.^ Detailed morphological description of the cyst wall, metrocytes, and bradyzoites is given for the first time. Additionally, molecular data on S. cymruensis are presented also for the first time. Molecular characterization of sarcocysts 18S rDNA and 28S rDNA, ITS-1, and cox1 loci showed the highest similarity with S. rodentifelis and S. muris. In conclusion, the present study described the natural infection of S. cymruensis in Brown rat for the first time in a Caribbean country and provided its molecular characteristics
