Global Stabilization of the Navier-Stokes-Voight and the damped nonlinear wave equations by finite number of feedback controllers

In this paper we introduce a finite-parameters feedback control algorithm for stabilizing solutions of the Navier-Stokes-Voigt equations, the strongly damped nonlinear wave equations and the nonlinear wave equation with nonlinear damping term, the Benjamin-Bona-Mahony-Burgers equation and the KdV-Burgers equation. This algorithm capitalizes on the fact that such infinite-dimensional dissipative dynamical systems posses finite-dimensional long-time behavior which is represented by, for instance, the finitely many determining parameters of their long-time dynamics, such as determining Fourier modes, determining volume elements, determining nodes , etc..The algorithm utilizes these finite parameters in the form of feedback control to stabilize the relevant solutions. For the sake of clarity, and in order to fix ideas, we focus in this work on the case of low Fourier modes feedback controller, however, our results and tools are equally valid for using other feedback controllers employing other spatial coarse mesh interpolants

Peningkatan Prestasi Belajar Siswa Pada Mata Pelajaran Ekonomi Pokok Bahasan Pasar Dengan Menerapkan Metode Pembelajaran Inkuiri

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melaksanakan model metode pembelajaran inkuiri dengan guru mata pelajaran sebagai pengamat yang menilai pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran. Berdasarkan data hasil penelitian maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran inkuiri efektif untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran ekonomi pokok bahasan pasar di kelas VIII B SMP Negeri 1 Kutowinangun Kabupaten Kebumen. Selain itu, berdasarkan hasil pengamatan dapat disimpulkan bahwa telah terjadi peningkatan kemampuan afektif dan psikomotorik siswa dalam melaksanakan metode pembelajaran inkuiri berdasarkan perbandingan kemampuan afektif dan psikomotorik siswa. diharapkan metode inkuiri dapat diterapkan sebagai salah satu metode pembelajaran alternatif yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa. Agar pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan metode inkuiri dapat dilaksanakan dengan baik, diharapkan guru melakukan pembimbingan dalam observasi lapangan yang dilaksanakan oleh siswa secara berkelompok

Karakteristik Salak Lokal Banyumas ( Salacca Zalacca (Gaert) Voss) sebagai Upaya Pelestarian Spesies Indigenous

Kajian taksonomi tentang karakteristik salak lokal Banyumas dengan tujuan untuk (1)Mendapatkan keragaman karakteristik morfologi salak lokal Banyumas. Dan (2) Mendapatkan hubungan kekerabatan antar kultivar salak lokal Banyumas berdasarkan karakteristik morfologi. Penelitian ini mengumakan metode survei dengan cara pengambilan sampel secara acak terpilih. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa di Purwokerto terdapat 3 kultivar salak yaitu Salak 'kedung paruk'. Salak 'kalisube' dan salak 'candinegara' setelah dianalisis hubungan kekerabatan dengan UPGMA menggunakan metode MEGA 4.1 hasilnya salak'kalisube'mempunyai hubungan kekerabatan paling dekat dengan salak ‘candinegara'

Industrialization and De-industrialization in Indonesia 1983-2008: a Kaldorian Approach

Economists have for a long time discussed the causes of economic growth and the mechanisms behind it. Kaldor viewed advanced economies as having a dual nature verysimilar to that of developing countries, with an agricultural sector with low productivity and surplus labour, and a capital intensive industrial sector characterized by rapid technical change and increasing returns. The transfer of labour resources from the agricultural sector to the industrial sector depends on the growth of the latter's derived demand for labour. With this background this study attempts to show the periods when the Indonesian economy indicated the processes of industrialization and deindustrialization. Italso attempts to identify whether the economy experienced positive deindustrialization (i.e., showed signs of economic maturity where service sector substituted the role of industrial sector as the engine of growth) or negative deindustrialization (i.e., showed signs of economic stagnancy where industrial sector could not grow rapidly enough to absorb surplus labour from agricultural sector). Lastly, this study attemps to analyze several factors that might be responsible for the process of the deindustrialization
