Determination of sialic acid level in blood serum of rats as marker of anti-inflammatory action of pharmaceutical composition containing piroxicam and caffeine
Biochemical Confirmation of Anti-Inflammatory Activity of Oxicam-Based Pharmaceutical Compositions
Biochemical confirmation of anti-inflammatory activity of oxicam-based pharmaceutical compositions was performed by the determination of the level of one of the main markers of inflammation-C-reactive protein. Biochemical studies were carried out on laboratory animals (white WAG rats) to study the anti-inflammatory effects of meloxicam, piroxicam, caffeine, and pharmaceutical compositions consisting of meloxicam and caffeine, piroxicam and caffeine compared to the reference drug - sodium diclofenac. The content of CRP in serum of rats was determined using the CRP latex test kit (State registration number 1248/2002, Kharkiv, Ukraine). It was shown that composition of meloxicam and caffeine reduced the content of CRP by 16 times compared with formalin-induced edema, and by 2 times in comparison with the reference drug diclofenac sodium, which is statistically significantly different from the control, i.e. caffeine increases and potentiates anti-inflammatory action of meloxicam

Pharmacotherapy of chemical skin injuries remains an urgent issue today due to its serious health consequences and possible development of complications. Topical treatment is one of the most effective methods of wound treatment using hydrophilic ointments and creams. For now, range of hydrophilic medicinal products with a broad spectrum of action is limited. That is why a search and development of new hydrophilic ointments and creams remains an urgent challenge.
The aim. The aim of this research was to study effectiveness of ointment βProlidoxidβ and cream βDexpanthenol with ceramidesβ on the experimental chemical burn model in rats.
Materials and methods. Wound healing effect of ointment βProlidoxidβ and cream βDexpanthenol with ceramidesβ was proved by the study of planimetric and hematological parameters on the model of acetic acid burns in rats.
Results. Using animal model of chemical burns it was found that ointment βProlidoxidβ and cream βDexpanthenol with ceramidesβ accelerate wound healing on Day 5 and Day 6, consequently, compared to untreated control animals, but in comparison with the action of reference medicine wounds were healed two days faster. Hematological parameters showed that studied medicines inhibit inflammation and reactivate blood rheological properties.
Conclusions. The results suggest that effectiveness of cream βDexpanthenol with ceramidesβ is higher than for one-component cream βDexpanthenolβ, but ointment βProlidoxidβ exceeds therapeutic action of ointment βWundahylβ as reported by hematological and planimetric parametersΠ€Π°ΡΠΌΠ°ΠΊΠΎΡΠ΅ΡΠ°ΠΏΠΈΡ Ρ

Immune histochemical study of KI-67 level and ribonucleic acid in the process of healing of burn wounds after treatment with drugs containing dexpanthenol and ceramide
Ceramides are structural components of the stratum corneum that regulate cell proliferation and differentiation. The study of the effect of the cream containing dexpanthenol and ceramide on the proliferation processes and regeneration of burn wounds in rats. Experimental rats with III-A degree thermal burn were treated separately with the following preparations: Cream with ceramides, cream with dexpanthenol and ceramides and cream "Bepanten". The proliferative-regenerative activity of the drugs was investigated by studying the content of the Ki-67 producing cells and the content of ribonucleic acid (RNA) in the cytoplasm of the granulation tissue fibroblasts. Ceramides contributed to wounds healing, increasing the content of Ki-67 antigenpositive cells, accelerating the formation of scar in the wound. The therapeutic effect of creams with ceramides exceeds the efficacy of the reference preparation βBepantenβ cream. Wound Healing Effect of βProlidoxidβ and βDexpanthenol with Ceramidesβ: A Π‘omparative Study Based on the Model of Chemical Burns with Expressed Alterative Skin Processes
Pharmacotherapy of chemical skin injuries remains an urgent issue today due to its serious health consequences and possible development of complications. Topical treatment is one of the most effective methods of wound treatment using hydrophilic ointments and creams. For now, range of hydrophilic medicinal products with a broad spectrum of action is limited. That is why a search and development of new hydrophilic ointments and creams remains an urgent challenge.
The aim. The aim of this research was to study effectiveness of ointment βProlidoxidβ and cream βDexpanthenol with ceramidesβ on the experimental chemical burn model in rats.
Materials and methods. Wound healing effect of ointment βProlidoxidβ and cream βDexpanthenol with ceramidesβ was proved by the study of planimetric and hematological parameters on the model of acetic acid burns in rats.
Results. Using animal model of chemical burns it was found that ointment βProlidoxidβ and cream βDexpanthenol with ceramidesβ accelerate wound healing on Day 5 and Day 6, consequently, compared to untreated control animals, but in comparison with the action of reference medicine wounds were healed two days Faster. Hematological parameters showed that studied medicines inhibit inflammation and reactivate blood rheological properties.
Conclusions. The results suggest that effectiveness of cream βDexpanthenol with ceramidesβ is higher than for one-component cream βDexpanthenolβ, but ointment βProlidoxidβ exceeds therapeutic action of ointment βWundahylβ as reported by hematological and planimetric parameter
