Cadna A -melumallinnusohjelman käyttö maa-ainesten ottoalueiden melumallinnuksessa

Insinöörityön tavoitteena oli laatia toimeksiantajalle työohjeet melumallinnukseen. Työohjeiden tuli sisältää yksityiskohtaiset ohjeet, kuinka luodaan melumalli yrityksen käytössä olevilla 3d-Win- ja Cadna A-ohjelmilla. Tämän lisäksi työohjeiden tuli sisältää melumallinnusraportointiohjeet. Tilaajayritys on uudistamassa toimintajärjestelmäänsä ja sen myötä syntyi tarve tälle opinnäytetyölle. Melumallinnus on yrityksen uusi aluevaltaus ja nyt yritys tarvitsee uuden toimintajärjestelmän mukaiset suomenkieliset työohjeet melumallinnukseen. Tässä työssä tehtiin melumallinnuksia kahdelle maa-ainesten ottoalueelle. Tehtyjen mallinnusten edetessä laadittiin työohjetta mallinnuksesta. Ennen itsenäistä mallinnusta ja ohjeiden laadintaa työn tilaaja antoi koulutuksen ohjelmien käyttöön ja yritysten tarpeisiin tehtävien melumallinnusten tekoon. Lisäohjeita mallinnuksen laadintaan oli saatavilla koko opinnäytetyöprojektin ajan. Kun työohjeet oli laadittu ja tilaajan hyväksymät, työohjeiden luotettavuus, ymmärrettävyys ja selkeys testattiin koehenkilön avulla. Koehenkilö suoritti ohjeiden mukaisen mallinnuksen. Tämän koemallinnuksen aikana ohjeista korjattiin viimeisetkin puutteet ja epäselvyydet. Työn tuloksena saatiin yksityiskohtaiset työohjeet melumallinnukseen tilaajayrityksen käyttöön. Työohjeissa kaikki työvaiheet tarvittavista lähtötiedoista valmiin mallin tulostukseen ohjeistetaan tarkasti. Työohjeen lopussa annetaan esimerkki hyvän melumallinnusraportin rungosta. Melumallin avulla on helppo havainnollistaa melun leviämistä mallinnusalueella ja tarvittaessa suunnitella mahdollisimman kustannustehokkaita meluntorjuntatoimenpiteitä. Tämän opinnäytetyön pohjalta voidaan todeta, että Cadna A -melumallinnusohjelmalla pystytään tuottamaan laadukkaita ja luotettavia melumalleja ympäristö- ja muiden lupien myöntämispäätösten tueksi.The aim of this thesis was to draw up working instructions on noise prediction. These working instructions were supposed to contain detailed instructions on how to create a noise map using the 3d-win and Cadna A software. In addition, reporting guidelines were supposed to be included. The need for this thesis arose as the company was restructuring its integrated management systems. Noise prediction is company’s new line of business and the prospective integrated management system requires working instructions in Finnish. In this thesis noise predictions were made on two soil extraction areas and the working instructions were compiled during these modellings. The usage of the software and the procedure of modeling were instructed by the company prior to the actual noise predicton and compiling of the working instructions. Additional instructions to the modelling procedure were constantly available during the thesis project. After the working instructions were completed and approved by the company the working instructions were tested by a testee. The testee performed a modelling according to the work instructions and the authenticity, intelligibility and clarity of the instructions were observed. The final defects and incoherencies were rectified during this test modelling. As a result of this thesis, the company got detailed instructions on noise prediction using their software. In the work instructions every step from the needed data to printing the completed model is told accurately. An example outline of a good noise modeling report is also included after the instructions. With noise prediction software it is simple to illustrate the spread of noise and to plan as cost-effective noise abatement actions as possible. Based on this thesis it can be mentioned that high quality and reliable noise maps to support the granting process of soil excavation and environmental permits can be created using Cadna A software

Husky Tracks : Painokangasmalliston suunnittelu Vuokatti Husky Oy:lle

Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli suunnitella ja ideoida painokangastuotteita Sotkamolaisen rekikoirakeskus Vuokatti Husky Oy:n myymälään. Tuotteet suunniteltiin käsiteollista pientuotantoa ajatellen talvisesongille 2011–2012. Suunnittelutyö oli asiakaslähtöistä ja perustui yrityksen toiveisiin ja tarpeisiin. Ideoinnin työkaluina käytettiin luonnostelua, valokuvausta sekä kuvankäsittely-ohjelmia. Tekijä perehtyi opinnäytetyötä varten yrityksen toimintaan ja ajatusmaailmaan sekä rekikoiriin. Vuokatti Huskyn asiakaskuntaa tarkasteltiin assosiaationanalyysin avulla. Suunnittelija teki vierailuja tarhalle sekä piti yrityksen kanssa tiivistä yhteistyötä suunnitteluprosessin eri vaiheissa. Työn tarkoituksena oli suunnitella asiakasyrityksen tyyliin sopiva tekstiilimallisto, josta nousee esille myös suunnittelijan oma kädenjälki. Asiakkaan toiveena on tulevaisuudessa saada myyntiin tuotteita, jotka kuvastavat juuri heidän omaa yritysilmettään ja jättävät muiston asiakkaalle vierailusta tarhalla. Mallisto sisältää Jäljet-metrikankaan, josta valmistetaan erilaisia keittiö- ja pientekstiilejä, sekä vuoden 2012 kalenteri – keittiöpyyhkeen. Työn tuotoksena syntyi lisäksi luonnoksia sekä ideoita, joiden työstämistä jatketaan uusiksi tuotteiksi.Objective of the thesis was to create printed fabric products for Vuokatti Husky Oy shop in Sotkamo. The products were designed for winter season 2011-2012 and the manufacturing method would be handmade small-scale production. The design was customer-oriented and based on the demand of the company. Sketching, photography, and photo editing software were implemented in the design process. Author researched the company ´s work methods and sled dog behaviour for the thesis. Association analysis was implemented when surveying the customer base of Vuokatti Husky. The author visited the sled dog centre and worked in cooperation with the company during the various stages of the design process. The intention was to create a textile collection that would both fit the company´s style and project the vision of the designer. Company´s objective is to have products for sale that reflect the image of the company and give the customer fond memories of the sled dog centre. The collection includes the”Jäljet” fabric that is used in the manufacture of various kitchen textiles and small textiles, including the kitchen towel for 2012 calendar. Associations of neuroticism with falls in older adults : do psychological factors mediate the association?

OBJECTIVES Neuroticism predicts falls in older people. In addition, concern about falling and depressive symptoms are associated with fall risk. This study examined whether concern about falling and depressive symptoms mediate the association between neuroticism and falls. METHOD Cross-sectional data on 314 community-dwelling people aged 70–85 years were utilized. Neuroticism was assessed with a short modified form of the Eysenck Personality Inventory. Indoor and outdoor falls during the past year were self-reported. Concern about falling was assessed with the Falls Efficacy Scale-International and depressive symptoms with the Geriatric Depression Scale-15. Path modeling was used to examine the associations between variables. RESULTS Mediating pathways linking neuroticism and falls were found: neuroticism was positively associated with concern about falling, which was subsequently linked to indoor falls (indirect effect β = 0.34, p = 0.002) and recurrent outdoor falls (β = 0.19, p = 0.045). Moreover, a pathway from neuroticism to indoor falls through depressive symptoms was also found (β = 0.21, p = 0.054). In other words, higher neuroticism was associated with higher concern about falling and depressive symptoms, both of which were linked to falls. The associations were independent of age, sex, use of psychotropic, chronic diseases, persistent pain, physical performance, physical activity, and executive functioning that are known risk factors for falls. DISCUSSION The results indicate that concern about falling and depressive symptoms mediate the association between neuroticism and falling. Longitudinal studies are needed to confirm the causality of the findings and to examine the potential to reduce falls by targeting concern about falling and depressive symptoms among older adults higher in neuroticism.peerReviewe
