Corporate Social Responsibility Program as a Corporate Impression Management Strategy

This study aims to determine the public relations (PR) activities of a company, where the demands and obligations of the company in fulfilling its social and environmental responsibilities are carried out by the public relations department. The problems that will be presented in this study concerns the two factors of public relations practitioners' efforts in forming a positive image. The method used in this study is theoretical review, with the research object of PT Pertamina EP Asset 3 Subang Field. The results of this study show that the positive image of the company was identified in the usefulness and suitability of the Corporate Social Responsibility program with community needs regarding clean water, and also the community felt happy and valued because they were involved in building clean water and toilet washing facilities. A new coupling solution for G3-PLC employment in MV smart grids

This paper proposes a new coupling solution for transmitting narrowband multicarrier power line communication (PLC) signals over medium voltage (MV) power lines. The proposed system is based on an innovative PLC coupling principle, patented by the authors, which exploits the capacitive divider embedded in voltage detecting systems (VDS) already installed inside the MV switchboard. Thus, no dedicated couplers have to be installed and no switchboard modifications or energy interruptions are needed. This allows a significant cost reduction of MV PLC implementation. A first prototype of the proposed coupling system was presented in previous papers: it had a 15 kHz bandwidth useful to couple single carrier PSK modulated PLC signals with a center frequency from 50–200 kHz. In this paper, a new prototype is developed with a larger bandwidth, up to 164 kHz, thus allowing to couple multicarrier G3-PLC signals using orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) digital modulation. This modulation ensures a more robust communication even in harsh power line channels. In the paper, the new coupling system design is described in detail. A new procedure is presented for tuning the coupling system parameters at first installation in a generic MV switchboard. Finally, laboratory and in-field experimental test results are reported and discussed. The coupling performances are evaluated measuring the throughput and success rate in the case of both 18 and 36 subcarriers, in one of the different tone masks standardized for the FCC-above CENELEC band (that is, from 154.6875–487.5 kHz). The experimental results show an efficient behavior of the proposed coupler allowing a two-way communication of G3-PLC OFDM signals on MV networks

This can be justified if we refer to data and research results that have been done in several countries. However, on the contrary, work in the field of library is increasingly complex and demands the competence and mastery of information technology. Moreover, the expectations of some users who demand a fast and quality service. Therefore to answer this problem required a female librarian who has the competence, intelligent and able to become a leader for his group and can show the characteristics as a professional. As for the description of people like this people call it with the term alpha female. With the birth of alpha female figures among female librarians is expected to change the positive image of librarians and library institutions. Namun justru sebaliknya pekerjaaan di bidang perpustakaan saat ini semakin kompleks dan menuntut kompetensi dan penguasaan teknologi informasi. Apalagi harapan sebagian pengguna yang menuntut suatu pelayanan ayang cepat dan berkualitas. Oleh karena demikian untuk menjawab permasalahan ini diperlukan sosok pustakawan perempuan yang memiliki kompetensi, cerdas serta mampu menjadi pemimpin bagi kelompoknya dan bisa menunjukkan ciri-ciri sebagai seorang profesional. Adapun gambaran orang seperti ini orang menyebutnya dengan istilah alpha female. Dengan lahirnya sosok alpha female di kalangan pustakawan perempuan diharapkan mampu merubah citra yang positif terhadap pustakawan dan lembaga perpustakaan. Parenting After a Natural Disaster: A Qualitative Study of Norwegian Families Surviving the 2004 Tsunami in Southeast Asia

How do parents support their children after a high-impact disaster? To answer this question, face-to-face interviews were conducted with 51 Norwegian parents. These parents and children were all severely exposed to the trauma of the tsunami disaster. The analyses show how parents interpret their children’s signs of distress, as well as their own strategies of support in the aftermath. The main strategies described by the parents were watchful waiting, careful monitoring of the children’s reactions and a sensitive timing when providing support. Such monitoring, and interpretation of signs of distress, served as an aid for the parents in determining what needs their children had and what support they therefore needed to provide. A range of support strategies were employed, including re-establishing a sense of safety, resuming normal roles and routines, and talking to their children. Parents who were themselves severely impacted by the disaster reported a reduced ability to assess their children’s reactions and thereby were unable to provide optimal care in the aftermath. Interestingly, the parents’ support strategies mirror the early intervention recommendations put forward in the NICE guidelines and in the Psychological First Aid guidelines which is a well accepted and promising practice for helping children after disasters

Fractures de hangman : a propos de cinq cas

Objectifs l’absence de consensus dans le traitement des fractures de Hangman complique la prise en charge. L’objectif de cette étude était de proposer différentes méthodes thérapeutiques accessibles toutes dans les conditions de travail d’un pays à revenu faible. Introduction Le fracture de Hangman ou fracture bipédiculaire de l’axis pose le problème de codification de sa prise en charge (traitement conservateur ou chirurgie). Nous exposons nos résultats à travers cinq dossiers de patients opérer à la lumière des données de la littérature. Patients et méthode Il s’agissait d’une étude rétrospective portant sur cinq patients admis en urgence entre janvier 2006 et décembre 2008 et opérés pour quatre d’entre eux après examen clinique, bilan radiographique et cotation suivant la classification d’EFFENDI (avant et après chirurgie). Le suivi s’est déroulé sur une période moyenne de 12 mois. Résultats Il s’agissait de cinq patients d’âge moyen de 34,6 ans (extrêmes de 22 et 54 ans), avec un sex ratio de 4, admis dans le service pour traumatisme du rachis cervical suite à un accident de la voie publique dans trois cas (dont une chute de charrette) et de travail dans deux cas. Leur symptomatologie était dominée par un syndrome rachidien cervical sans déficit neurologique. Ainsi quatre (04) patients ont subit une ostéosynthèse par voie postérieure selon différentes techniques dont une visée pédiculaire. Un patient a bénéficié d’un traitement orthopédique par minerve cervicale pendant 4 mois. Nous n’avons eu aucune complication à long terme. Conclusion Les « Hangman’s fracture » sont peu fréquentes. Leur traitement n’est pas encore codifié. Le traitement chirurgical est privilégié pour nous du fait des contraintes de port de minerve au long cours dans nos régions tropicales chaudes et humides.Mots-clés: hangman fracture, arthrodèse postérieure

Are pinholes the cause of excess current in superconducting tunnel junctions? A study of Andreev current in highly resistive junctions

In highly resistive superconducting tunnel junctions, excess subgap current is usually observed and is often attributed to microscopic "pinholes" in the tunnel barrier. We have studied the subgap current in superconductor-insulator-superconductor (SIS) and superconductor-insulator-normal-metal (SIN) junctions. In Al/AlOx/Al junctions, we observed a decrease of 2 orders of magnitude in the current upon the transition from the SIS to the SIN regime, where it then matched theory. In Al/AlOx/Cu junctions, we also observed generic features of coherent diffusive Andreev transport in a junction with a homogenous barrier. We use the quasiclassical Keldysh-Green function theory to quantify single- and two-particle tunneling and find good agreement over 2 orders of magnitude in transparency. We argue that our observations rule out pinholes as the origin of the excess current.Comment: 4 pages, 4 figure

A Pre-Protostellar Core in L1551

Large field surveys of NH3, C2S, 13CO and C18O in the L1551 dark cloud have revealed a prolate, pre-protostellar molecular core (L1551-MC) in a relatively quiescent region to the northwest of the well-known IRS 5 source. The kinetic temperature is measured to be 9K, the total mass is ~2Msun, and the average particle density is 10^4-10^5 cm^(-3). L1551-MC is 2.25' x 1.11' in projection oriented at a position angle of 133deg. The turbulent motions are on the order of the sound speed in the medium and contain 4% of the gravitational energy, E_{grav}, of the core. The angular momentum vector is projected along the major axis of L1551-MC corresponding to a rotational energy of 2.5E-3(sin i)^(-2)|E_{grav}|. The thermal energy constitutes about a third of |E_{grav}| and the virial mass is approximately equal to the total mass. L1551-MC is gravitationally bound and in the absence of strong, ~160 microgauss, magnetic fields will likely contract on a ~0.3 Myr time scale. The line profiles of many molecular species suggest that the cold quiescent interior is surrounded by a dynamic, perhaps infalling envelope which is embedded within the ambient molecular gas of L1551.Comment: 27 pages, 7 figures, ApJ accepte

Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada 100 orang mahasiswa Politeknik Triguna dengan mengambil tema “Muda dan Berinvestasi yang Cerdas Menuju Masa Depan Cerah”. Bertujuan untuk memberikan pendidikan dan latihan investasi dengan pasar modal melalui metode seminar dan kuliah umum. Adapun materi yang diberikan pada mahasiswa Triguna ini disampaikan oleh pengurus GIBEI-FE UNSIL-RELI bekerja sama dengan OJK Tasikmalaya dan PT. Reliance Sekuritas Indonesia, Tbk. sebagai praktisi yang mumpuni di bidangnya. Dengan telah dilaksanakannya kegiatan ini diharapkan menghasilkan output generasi muda yang cerdas dan menanamkan jiwa berinvestasi sejak dini sehingga dapat mengetahui berbagai jenis investasi dan tidak terjerumus dalam investasi yang bodong.
