In recent years, the demand for compact and multi-function handheld communication devices has grown significantly. Devices having internal antennas have appeared to fill this need. Antenna frequency band and size are major factors. In the past few decades, fractal antenna theory develops rapidly, basing on fractal geometry to maximize the length of material. Fractal surface is a function of roughness, by increasing roughness, polarization changes. For this reason, fractal antennas are very compact, are multi-band and have useful applications which require small, cheap and effective antenna such as cellular telephones and microwave communications. Anotable fractal antenna to be mounted on wireless devices such as mobile phones, laptops is presented in this thesis. The proposed multi-band fractal antenna simultaneously operates in the IEEE 802.11a, IEEE 802.1 lb/g and WiMax frequency bands. The multi-band behavior is obtained by using Sierpinski Gasket fractal structures. The overall size of the antenna renders it suitable to be installed at the back of the mobile phone or the top of the display of a notebook. Simulation results are obtained by CST Microwave studio

Distributed Estimation of Graph Laplacian Eigenvalues by the Alternating Direction of Multipliers Method

International audienceThis paper presents a new method for estimating the eigenvalues of the Laplacian matrix associated with the graph describing the network topology of a multi-agent system. Given an approximate value of the average of the initial condition of the network state and some intermediate values of the network state when performing a Laplacian-based average consensus, the estimation of the Laplacian eigenvalues is obtained by solving the factorization of the averaging matrix. For this purpose, in contrast to the state of the art, we formulate a convex optimization problem that is solved in a distributed way by means of the Alternating Direction Method of Multipliers (ADMM). The main variables in the optimization problem are the coefficients of a polynomial whose roots are precisely the inverse of the distinct nonzero Laplacian eigenvalues. The performance of the proposed method is evaluated by means of simulation results

International audienceIn this paper, we present a novel algorithm for estimating eigenvalues of the Laplacian matrix associated with the graph describing the network topology of a multi-agent system or a wireless sensor network. As recently shown, the average consensus matrix can be written as a product of Laplacian based consensus matrices whose stepsizes are given by the inverse of the nonzero Laplacian eigenvalues. Therefore, by solving the factorization of the average consensus matrix, we can infer the Laplacian eigenvalues. We show how solving such a matrix factorization problem in a distributed way. In particular, we formulate the problem as a constrained consensus problem. The proposed algorithm does not require great resources in both computation and storage. This algorithm can also be viewed as a way for decentralizing the design of finite-time average consensus protocol recently proposed in the literature. Eventually, the performance of the proposed algorithm is evaluated by means of simulation results

Distributed network topology reconstruction in presence of anonymous nodes

International audienceThis paper concerns the problem of reconstructing the network topology from data propagated through the network by means of an average consensus protocol. The proposed method is based on the distributed estimation of graph Lapla-cian spectral properties. Precisely, the identification of the network topology is implemented by estimating both eigen-values and eigenvectors of the consensus matrix, which is related to the graph Laplacian matrix. In this paper, we focus the exposition on the estimation of the eigenvectors since the eigenvalues estimation can be achieved based on recent results of the literature using the same kind of data. We show how the topology can be reconstructed in presence of anonymous nodes, i.e. nodes that do not disclose their ID

Folk songs have the ability to have a strong impact on people's thoughts and emotions, helping us develop aesthetic abilities, thinking, intellectual, physical qualities, and good moral feelings. More importantly, it forms national consciousness and love for the homeland. Currently, teachers are aware of the importance of using folk songs for 5-6 year old children in organizing musical activities in preschools. However, preschool teachers do not know how to choose folk songs in organizing and teaching music activities, causing the results of the activities to be low. This article focuses on analyzing the current situation of choosing folk songs for 5-6 year old children through organizing and teaching musical activities, in order to form in children the goodness and beauty in folk songs. From there, children will develop a love and appreciation for Vietnamese folk songs.&nbsp

The study is about breast lesions which is a common cause of mortality and morbidity among females. To avoid negative consequences, there is need for urgent diagnosis and treatment. Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology (FNAC) is a useful diagnostic tool and possess higher level of accuracy. In this study, the objective was to determine the accuracy of FNAC in diagnosis of palpable breast lumps. Additionally, the objective was to find the correlation between cytological findings and histopathological examination of surgical specimens. The methodology of the study was based on retrospective study method. FNAC of breast lump was conducted on 271 patients out of which 104 formed the base group. The results showed that there were 104 patients of base study who had average age of 32 years. There were 54 patients with lump in left breasts, and 46 patients with lump in right breasts and 4 patient had bilateral lump. There were 77 patients with benign, 34 patients with malignant, and 3 had atypica;/suspicious lesions on cytological examination. Based on histopathological examination, 77 cases were related to benign, 26 were related to malignant, and 1 with atypical/suspicious. Cyto-histological concurrence was 93.05% and 79.2% for Fibroadenoma and Infiltrating ductal carcinoma respectively. Overall sensitivity of FNAC procedure was 94.17%, specificity 100% and accuracy 93.26%.  On the basis of result, it is concluded that FNAC is a simple, reliable method for diagnosis of both benign and malignant lesions and can be used in the evaluation of breast lesions.
