Application of Queuing Model to Minimize the Waiting Time in Fuel Stations

    Get PDF
The purpose of this paper is to study how the queuing model is applied to minimize the waiting time in fuel stations. In many fuel stations there had been long queues to collect the fuel as a result there may be a rare of the products in recent time. This type of station makes the customers to wait for more than hours. The service station in cities sells products to the available customers in a random order, which results to long queue in fuel stations. In this paper a single channel multiple server model is considered to reduce the waiting time of the customers

Application of Hungarian Method for Travelling Top Seven Tourist Destinations in Myanmar

In this paper, we introduce the Travelling Salesman Problem (TSP) and solve for the most efficient route of the problem by using the steps of the Hungarian method. Specifically, this paper discussed the properties of a TSP matrix, provided the steps for Hungarian method, and described a list of 7 cities and the distance between each pairs of cities that apply these concepts of a Travelling Salesman problem. We do not consider any constraint on the order in which the localities are visited, nor do we take into the account possible traffic at differing times. We used to travel for top seven problems to show how the Hungarian method is used and it is an efficient way to solve the Travelling Salesman Problem. At the end, Hungarian Algorithm method is used to find minimum distance for shortest possible route that visits each city and return of the origin city

Endosseous dental implant fractures an analysis of 21 cases

    Get PDF
Implant fracture is an infrequent cause of implant failure. The present study evaluates 21 fractured implants, with an analysis of patient age and sex, the type, length and diameter of the implant, positioning in the dental arch, the type of prosthetic rehabilitation involved, the number of abutments and pontics, the presence or absence of distal extensions or cantilevers, and loading time to fracture. Implant fracture was more common in males than in females (15:4), and the mean patient age was 56.9 years. Most cases (n = 19) corresponded to implant-supported fixed prostheses - 16 with cantilevers of different lengths ? while only two fractured implants were supporting overdentures instead of fixed prostheses. The great majority of fractured implants (80.9%) were located in the molar and premolar regions, and most fractured within 3-4 years after loading. It is important to know and apply the measures required to prevent implant fracture, and to seek the best individualized solution for each case - though complete implant removal is usually the treatment of choice

Long-term outcomes of second-line antiretroviral treatment in an adult and adolescent cohort in Myanmar.

BACKGROUND: Myanmar has a high burden of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and second-line antiretroviral treatment (ART) has been available since 2008 in the public health sector. However, there have been no published data about the outcomes of such patients until now. OBJECTIVE: To assess the treatment and programmatic outcomes and factors associated with unfavorable outcomes (treatment failure, death and loss to follow-up from care) among people living with HIV (aged ≥ 10 years) receiving protease inhibitor-based second-line ART under the Integrated HIV Care Program in Myanmar between October 2008 and June 2015. DESIGN: Retrospective cohort study using routinely collected program data. RESULTS: Of 824 adults and adolescents on second-line ART, 52 patients received viral load testing and 19 patients were diagnosed with virological failure. However, their treatment was not modified. At the end of a total follow-up duration of 7 years, 88 (11%) patients died, 35 (4%) were lost to follow-up, 21 (2%) were transferred out to other health facilities and 680 (83%) were still under care. The incidence rate of unfavorable outcomes was 7.9 patients per 100 person years follow-up. Patients with a history of injecting drug use, with a history of lost to follow-up, with a higher baseline viral load and who had received didanosine and abacavir had a higher risk of unfavorable outcomes. Patients with higher baseline C4 counts, those having taken first-line ART at a private clinic, receiving ART at decentralized sites and taking zidovudine and lamivudine had a lower risk of unfavorable outcomes. CONCLUSIONS: Long-term outcomes of patients on second-line ART were relatively good in this cohort. Virological failure was relatively low, possibly because of lack of viral load testing. No patient who failed on second-line ART was switched to third-line treatment. The National HIV/AIDS Program should consider making routine viral load monitoring and third-line ART drugs available after a careful cost-benefit analysis

    Computing Heat Equation Using Matlab

In this paper, the heat equation problems are discussed. And then, some theorems, which provided Fourier's series and finite Element Methods are expressed. We used Matlab's solver to model the heat diffusion and showed graphical solutions for some problems

Discovery the User Access Pattern from Web Log Based on Association Rule Mining

Nowadays , most of the people who may be ineducational field, IT fiel d, or business field or otherswidely use the internet. The e learning, e mailing,eCommerce and other online techniques are used. Theusage data are recorded by the Web server as the WebLog Data. Web usage mining mines Web Log Data todiscover user acces s patterns of Web page. AssociationRules are used to discover the user access patterns. So,in this paper, the Support ordered Trie Itemset(SOTrieIT) algorithm to analyze which is the mostfrequent visited website and Apriori algorithm, which iscandidat e generation algorithm to know the pairs ofwebsites, are used. From the result of this paper, usercan analyze the websites' popularity, usefulness andeffectiveness. Web administration can use this systemfor finding the appropriate actions

Performance of Different Varieties in Direct Seeded Rice (Oryza sativa L.) as Affected by Different Sowing Methods

Field experiments were conducted in DaikU and Maubin Townships from November, 2015 to April, 2016 with two objectives: (1) to compare the different sowing methods on performance of tested rice varieties, (2) to investigate the effect of sowing methods on yield and yield components of tested rice varieties in direct seeded rice areas (DSR) by using split-plot design with three replications. Three differ-ent rice varieties (Theehtatyin, Yeanelo 4 and Yeanelo1) were assigned in main plot and three different sowing methods (broadcasting, line sowing and drum seeder) were arranged in sub plot. Yeanelo 1 gave the highest grain yield (4.75 t ha-1) with the maximum number of spikelets panicle-1 in DaikU, whereas Theehtatyin obtained the highest grain yield (6.32 t ha-1) with the highest number of panicles m-2 and harvest index in Maubin. Although drum seeder had minimum number of panicles m-2, number of spikelets panicle-1, 1000-grain weight, panicle length and harvest index were relatively high among the sowing methods. Therefore, the results highlighted that drum seeder method gave the maximum grain yield for all tested rice varieties, especially, Yeanelo 1 for DaikU and Theehtatyin for Maubin

Interest in PV systems is increasing and the installation of PV systems that are interactive with the utility grid is accelerating. Advanced PV system technologies include inverters, controllers, related balance of system, and energy management hardware. In this research, the Solar Energy Grid Integration System SEGIS architecture has been developed. The incorporated features such as voltage regulation, backup power and frequency regulation have been studied. PV system has been modified in coupling with generator backup system as well as energy storage unit in this SEGIS design
