DISPARIDADES E DINÂMICAS TERRITORIAIS NO BRASIL

The increasing power of personal computers, the sophistication of statistical and mapping software and the availability on the Internet of abundant, detailed and free data give new dimensions to thematic cartography: this article applies the new possibilities to the issue of disparities and territorial dynamics in Brazil, anticipating some maps of the second edition of the Atlas do Brazil (Théry and de Mello, 2005), as a starting point for analysis of the current Brazilian reality.A crescente potencia dos computadores pessoais, a sofisticação dos softwares de estatística e cartografia e a disponibilização na internet de dados abundantes, detalhados e gratuitos proporcionam novas dimensões à cartografia temática: o artigo emprega estas novas possibilidades ao tema das disparidades e dinâmicas territoriais no Brasil, adiantado alguns elementos da segunda edição do Atlas do Brasil (Théry e de Mello, 2005), ponto de partida para análise da atual realidade brasileira

DISPARIDADES TERRITORIAIS E CAPACIDADE DE GESTÃO DOS GOVERNOS MUNICIPAIS

O artigo analisa algumas características específicas do desenvolvimento local a partir de informações estatísticas (IBGE, Perfil dos Municípios Brasileiros) considerando-as como indicadores da capacidade de funcionamento dos governos municipais e refletindo criticamente a respeito das disparidades no território brasileiro. Deste modo, contextualiza-se a problemática do desenvolvimento local nas ultimas décadas, destacando as direções do mesmo e suas tendências (1). O mapeamento de algumas variáveis servira como fundamento da analise dos vetores de políticas públicas (2) e em seguida, analisam-se as consequências sobre organização do espaço e as ações públicas decorrentes destas dinâmicas (3).This article analyses some specific characteristics of local development from statistics (IBGE Perfil dos Municípios Brasileiros) considering them as indicators of the operating capacity of municipal governments and reflecting critically about disparities in Brazil. Thus, it contextualizes the issue of local development in recent decades, highlighting directions and trends (1). The mapping of some variables served as the basis of analysis of public policy vectors (2) and finally we analyse the consequences on the organization of space and public actions arising from these dynamics (3)

SITUAÇÕES DE LONDRINA

The situation of Londrina (Paraná) is analyzed in this article in accordance with the concepts of the “prospective analysis of territories”, developed at the Maison de la Géographie de Montpellier, in the 1990s. The analysis starts out with a discussion of statistical maps that depict Londrina at the scales of the country, of the South-Southeast region of Brazil and of the state of  Paraná. The city is then moved to a different analytical plane and the focus of attention is placed on the relationships (“fields of force”) it maintains at the national and continental scales, as well as within the framework of the great natural ensembles, of the zones of urban and industrial influence and of the main continental roads. The article draws upon data provided by the Environmental Atlas of Londrina, 2005.O texto apresenta alguns elementos de reflexões sobre A situação da cidade de Londrina (Paraná) é analisada neste artigo, em conformidade com os conceitos da "análise prospectiva dos territórios", desenvolvida na França na Maison de la Géographie de Montpellier, nos anos 1990. Londrina é analisada a partir de um conjunto de mapas estatísticos, nas escalas do país, do Sul-Sudeste e do Paraná. Nouvelles données sur [i]Gerandryus aetnensis[/i] (Rottenberg, 1871) (Coleoptera, Tenebrionidae, Alleculinae), une espèce à répartition disjointe remarquable

New records are given for Gerandryus aetnensis (Rottenberg, 1871) (Coleoptera; Tenebrionidae Latreille, 1802) in the Mercantour national Park and in the Alpes-Maritimes. The systematic position of the genus Gerandryus Rottenberg, 1873 within the subfamily Alleculinae Laporte, 1840 and the history of the distribution of G. aetnensis are discussed. Ecological data are provided.De nouvelles observations sur Gerandryus aetnensis (Rottenberg, 1871) (Coleoptera ; Tenebrionidae Latreille, 1802) sont signalées de France, dans le Parc national du Mercantour et dans ses environs (Alpes-Maritimes). Nous rappelons la position systématique du genre Gerandryus Rottenberg, 1873 au sein de la sous-famille des Alleculinae Laporte, 1840, et l'historique de la répartition de G. aetnensis et apportons de nouveaux éléments d'écologie.Nuovi dati su Gerandryus aetnensis (Rottenberg, 1871) (Coleoptera, Tenebrionidae, Alleculinae), una specie con notevole distribuzione disgiunta.Gli autori presentano nuove segnalazioni di Gerandryus aetnensis (Rottenberg, 1871) (Coleoptera ; Tenebrionidae Latreille, 1802) in Francia, nel Parco Nazionale del Mercantour e suoi dintorni (Alpes-Maritimes). Commentano la posizione sistematica del genere Gerandryus Rottenberg, 1873 nella sottofamiglia Alleculinae Laporte, 1840 e la storia della distribuzione di G. aetnensis e forniscono infine alcuni elementi sull'ecologia della specie
