The accident rate of rotorcraft has improved signi1cantly over the years but at a slow pace, and in any case the number of accidents per 2ight hours is one or two orders of magnitude higher than that of commercial aircraft, a consideration that could be reasonably related to the inherent higher risk associate with rotorcraft operations. This represent a strong evidence of the necessity to introduce airworthiness operation standards also in the rotorcraft community, as an effective mean to improve safety records, borrowing from the experience done in the commercial air transport community with the introduction of ETOPS. In this paper, a 1rst proposal of development of a safety standard for helicopter offshore operation is discussed together with the possible support to this development that could be given by the EU H2020 project NITROS

International audienceL'habitat ouvrier, issu des siècles de l’industrie fait partie de notre paysage. Nous sommes si habitués à le voir que nous sous-estimons, le plus souvent, sa nature et son importance. Parfois, il s’imbrique dans le tissu urbain, d’autres fois, c’est au contraire l’uniformité d’une seule et même architecture, occupée par une couche sociale homogène qui détermine la physionomie des lieux. Comme objet d’histoire, il apparaît avec l’industrialisation au point de se confondre avec elle. Comme création particulière des siècles de l’industrie, l’habitat ouvrier se complexifie avec le temps. À partir du milieu du XXe siècle, l’habitat ouvrier se confond avec l’habitat social. Compris comme un legs de la société passée, il fait partie de notre environnement et peut être récupéré: c’est là que se place la question de la rénovation du patrimoine industriel et de sa signification.Caractérisé par des conditions sommaires, quand il existe, l’habitat ouvrier est l’objet des préoccupations des industriels, des hygiénistes et des hommes d’État, pendant tout le XIXe siècle, au point de fournir le thème principal de l’exposition universelle de Paris en 1867. On peut penser que l’habitat social du XXe siècle est directement inspiré de toute cette recherche qui aboutit au concept de cité-jardin et qui inspire largement la construction des habitations bon marché (les HBM) en France.L'habitat ouvrier se complexifie avec le temps.
