Niel's Chess -- The Battle of the Quantum Age
In this paper, a quantum variant of chess is introduced, which can be played
on a traditional board without the need of using computers or other electronic
devices. The rules of the game arise naturally by combining the rules of
conventional chess with key quantum-physical effects such as superposition and
entanglement. Niel's Chess is recommended for ages 10 and above, to everyone
who wishes to play a creative game with historical roots and at the same time
gain intuition about the foundational quantum effects that power cutting-edge
technologies like quantum computing and quantum communication, which are poised
to revolutionise our society in the coming decades.Comment: 16 pages, 42 figure
The Quantum-House Effect: Filling the Gap Between Classicality and Quantum Discord
We introduce the quantum-house effect, a non-local phenomenon which
apparently does not require quantum discord to be present. It suffices for the
effect if neither subsystem of a bipartite system is in a pure state. This way,
the quantum-house effect completely fills the gap between trivial correlations
and quantum discord. However, we discuss why the situation is more subtle than
that, by showing that in a concrete cryptographic setting called "the
quantum-house game", the ability to produce quantum discord is in fact
necessary for the quantum-house effect to work. Then, we suggest a principle
called "quantum detachment" to characterize where quantumness in general
departs from classicality, based on the information a physical system contains
about itself. The quantum-house effect is demonstrated on SpinQ Gemini, a
2-qubit liquid-state NMR desktop quantum computer.Comment: 13 pages, 7 figure
Niel's Chess -- Rules for Xiangqi
In this paper, the rules of Niel's Chess are adapted to the game of Xiangqi,
following the idea that the River and the Palaces play an important role in
restricting and enabling chess pieces in their movements.Comment: 19 pages, 33 figures. arXiv admin note: substantial text overlap with

The Quantum-House Effect and Its Demonstration on SpinQ Gemini
We introduce the quantum-house effect, a non-local quantum phenomenon which
goes against classical intuition. We show how the effect can be achieved with
any bipartite quantum state where neither subsystem is in a pure state. Besides
its theoretical description, the quantum-house effect is also demonstrated on
SpinQ Gemini, a 2-qubit liquid-state NMR desktop quantum computer.Comment: 17 pages, 7 figures. arXiv admin note: text overlap with

Fémhabok képi elemzése és geometriai modellezése = Visual analysis and geometric modeling of metal foams
The development of an efficient procedure for 3D modelling and finite element simulation of metal foamsis one of the greatest challenges to engineer researchers nowadays. Creating 3D CAD model is alone a demandingengineering task due to its extremely complex geometry, and the proper finite element analysis process is still in thecenter of the research. The aim of this project is to analyze the related literature and to adapt the results may beconsidered.A mérnöki kutatások egyik nagy kihívása a mára már széles körben alkalmazott fémhabok geometriaimodellezése, valamint a megalkotott 3D-s modell numerikus szilárdságtani vizsgálata. A fémhab struktúrájameglehetősen bonyolult, így a valóságot jól megközelítő CAD modell előállítása önmagában is komoly mérnökifeladat, annak adott terhelésre történő végeselemes szimulációja pedig a kutatások középpontjában áll. A projektezen részének célja az előzőekben tárgyalt témakörökre vonatkozó nemzetközi szakirodalom kritikai elemzése és azeredmények adaptálási lehetőségei, továbbá egy térfogatelemzési eljárás bemutatása a fémhab celláivalkapcsolatban
Geographic Macro and Regional Model for EU Policy Impact Analysis of Intangible Assets and Growth
This paper introduces the geographic macro and regional model for NUTS-2 regions of the Euro zone. This model consists of three blocks: the TFP, the SCGE and the MACRO blocks. The model is built for impact analysis of policies targeting intangible assets in the forms of R&D, human capital and social capital. The analysis can be done both at the regional and the EU macroeconomic levels. Policy simulations illustrate the capabilities of the complex model system.TFP, SCGE models, DSGE models, impact analysis, R&D, human capital, social capital
