Tahap kefahaman asas kimia organik pelajar kolej matrikulasi aliran teknikal
Analisis dokumen silibus kimia organik matrikulasi berdasarkan taksonomi bloom
This article reports on a qualitative study based on document analysis to characterize the teaching and learning of Matriculation Organic Chemistry, Ministry of Education based on the revised Bloom’s Taxonomy. Document analysis was conducted on three elements: a description of the syllabus, questions of tutorials exercise and final examination questions. From the analysis of documents based on Bloom’s Taxonomy, it was found that the three elements are concentrated at low cognitive level. This study also identified a significant gap between the three objectives of the course: enable students to master the basic concepts of chemistry; develop science and problem-solving skills; allow students to use their knowledge and skills in new situations and daily life, with what is shown by the documents analyzed. This article also proposes an explanation that this gap is due to the traditional view of education that fails to see chemistry education as a holistic framework, and suggests steps to improve the teaching and learning of the topics studied
Performance modeling of e-procurement workflow using Generalised Stochastic Petri net (GSPN)
This paper proposes a Generalised Stochastic Petri net (GSPN) model representing a generic e-procurement workflow process. The model displays the dynamic behaviour of the system and shows the inter relationship of process activities. An analysis based on matrix equation approach enabled users to analyse the critical system's states, and thus justify the process performance. The results obtained allow users for better decision making in improving e-procurement workflow performance
Research and thesis: if only I had known
This book should be owned and read by all undergraduates, master and Ph.D. students who are currently involved in thesis writing or planning to embark on conducting research. This book is a must-have for tutors, research assistants, and lecturers in higher institutions especially those involved in student supervision. The book contains the nuts and bolts of carrying out research and thesis writing. No other copy in the bookstore has ever been published with practical examples using easy-to-understand language. Definitely the ultimate guide for those who have lost their way in research
Penyelidikan dan tesis: "the power of determination"
A linear algebraic approach in analyzing the M/GE/1 and GE/M/1 queuing systems at equilibrium
Uses the algebraic approach in the queuing theory to derive the M/G/1 equilibrium solution for the number of jobs in the system when the probability distribution function representing the general distribution is the generalized exponential (GE-type). Similarly the GE/M/1 system is solved. Furthermore, it has been shown that as expected the solutions are equivalent to the maximum entropy solutions of the M/G/1 and G/M/1 systems respectively at equilibrium
Infrastructure development in an area intended to improve the standard of living, including the increase in revenue, an increase in employment status and education. Thus the infrastructure impact study on the development of communities in the District of Kubang Pasu and Pendang focusing on several objectives of which are first to examine the impact of infrastructure on the develop
ment of communities in the District of Kubang Pasu and Pendang and identify relationship between the recipient of the effects of demographic aspects.Form of quantitative
research is conducted on 366 respondents in the four village in the District of Kubang Pasu and four village in the District Pendang using the survey form. The results showed that respondents living standard of the are
a is still low in terms of income, employment and educational stat us.The study also showed that the less educated and self-employed less use some facilities provided, especially communication facilities.Based on Frishchmann
theory, infrastructure less impact on productive and community less ability to share infrastructure.Low economic and
social conditions may also be associated with positive externalities namely when an individual and firm that decided not to receive the full benefit of the result in infrastructure development. As a whole based on the expression 5 and 6 of development theory that affected by infrastructure proposed major shift in government spending towards infrastructure that will generate possible effect through existence adequate high efficiency level of public investment. If efficiency level of investment is low then direct impact of public infrastructure on output quite limited
A simulation study of data discovery mechanism for scientific data grid environment
Research in the area of grid computing has given us various ideas and solutions to address the requirements in a modern scientific computing community that managed massive amounts of a very large data collections in a geographically distributed environment. Data Grids mostly deal with large computational problems and provide geographically distributed resources for large-scale data-intensive applications that generate large data sets. A number of research groups are working on the data distribution problems in Data Grids and they are investigating the data replication approaches on the data distribution. This leads to a new problem in discovery and access to data in Data Grid environment. To address this problem we have developed a model to study various discovery mechanisms and investigate these mechanisms for Dynamic Scientific Data Grid Environments using our Grid Simulator. In this paper, we illustrate our model and our Grid Simulator
