    Study of Flood Vulnerability in Pesanggrahan District, South Jakarta

    Pesanggrahan Sub-district is located in South Jakarta Administrative City, DKI Jakarta Province, Pesanggrahan Sub-district is crossed by Pesanggrahan River which divides sub-districts and crosses several villages that are included in Pesanggrahan District. In the rainy season, floods often occur due to overflowing water in this Pesanggrahan river and resulting in material and non-material losses. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of flood vulnerability that has occurred, especially in areas that have not been affected in order to avoid the risks that occur. The benefit of this research is to input mitigation efforts that will be carried out in the event of a flood. The research variables used in this study are the area of ​​the flood range from the river, elevation, slope and land use. The research method is using GIS technique to superimpose or map overlay, scoring, and weight using Geographic Information System (GIS) software. The expected result is the creation of a classification of the level of flood vulnerability and its extent. The planned mitigation directives are directives related to river body improvement, utilization of river commensurate space intended for the government, and the community. This research is one of the personal research roadmaps and is in accordance with the faculty research roadmap. This research is included in the building and environmental disaster mitigation research cluster, the leading field of green urban environment and the national research master plan on disaster management.     Spatial Statistical Analysis for Potential Transit Oriented Development (TOD) in Jakarta Metropolitan Region

    Spatial planning on Transit Oriented Development (TOD) concerns with the integration between land use and transportation aspects. However, in some places, public transport management based on transit nodes such as train services which are not well- integrated, and causing spatial chaos, especially surrounding station areas. It is essential to prepare a public transportation plan by maximizing regional potential capacity with TOD model. The purpose of this paper is to identify and prioritize potential areas for TOD using spatial statistical analysis with combined models of Geographic Information System (GIS) and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) for Jakarta Metropolitan Regional (JMR), Indonesia. This paper employed two major indicators: main- and sub-indicators depending on relevant references. The weight of each indicator was determined by chosen experts. The result showed that some of the metro areas of Jakarta were highly suitable for TOD and indicated the characteristics of the development of urban areas. This paper’s outcome was useful in order to determine the potential location of TOD and was applicable to other areas within the same geographical conditions

    GDP of Saudi Arabia has increased from 1billionUSdollarin1972tomorethan 1 billion US dollar in 1972 to more than 300 billion US dollar in 2011. The increase in population from 10 million in 1950 to 28 million in 2010, urbanization represent about 80%. the country consume about 20-25% of it's own oil production about 2.5 million per/daily. This shows that the Saudi policy have given incentive to cars user for longtime and has done little to manage demand or support public transport. The main objective of this paper is place the Saudi model in public transport in the international context and to draw an international prospective of public transport policy and the rational of government intervention in transport sector. The study gives classification models which characterize the industries and form of intervention. Further more the study highlight some of the approaches which adopted by both developed and developing industry at specific time. The Methods and models use vary from one country and this study had classified intervention in transport sector in five models which are such as models of ownership, regulation, competition, finance system and private public partnership model. In 2011 Saudi Arabia has introduce it First National Transport Strategy, which have adopted many objectives among the most is, to improve efficiency of transport sector, module environmental impact of transport sector, improves safety facilitate the movement of peoples and goods to improve economic activity (MOT 2011).     A Comparative Analysis of Planning Policies between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia during COVID-19 Pandemic

    COVID-19 from Wuhan, China, quickly spread to all countries worldwide with the adverse effects that accompany it. Each country's response should be to provide a policy package that is swift and beneficial for people, but not all countries have policies that are as expected. This paper aims to identify any planning policy indicators through a comparative study between the two countries. This paper is hoped can formulate planning policy directions that can be applied in other countries. This study took a case study from two countries, namely Indonesia and Saudi Arabia, because they have similarities and differences, such as in the socio-cultural, physical areas, and religious fields, especially in practicing worship in the holy month of Ramadan. This research method was descriptive qualitative by using a pairwise comparison analysis that compares sustainable development factors such as social, economic, and environmental contained in the planning policies issued by each country. The result was seen similarities and differences in the policies of the two countries, and it has implemented its planning policies well but is still awaited in the next stage, namely the stages of implementation and evaluation

    Improving community accessibility based on transport connectivity helps to address equity issues. Geographical information systems (GIS) provide useful techniques for capturing, maintaining and analyzing spatial data to defining community issues. The objective of this study is to model accessibility of community facilities using GIS based on private car, bus and train in the city area of Depok, Indonesia. The study modeling the accessibility of community facilities using Geographical information systems (GIS). A geodatabase of community facilities that includes the location of the mall, schools, hospital, mosque, and lake and also supporting data such as street and road network, the number of population, density and land use. The geodatabase covers defining community facilities and modeling accessibility by car, by bus, and by train and analyzing the social pattern. The results obtained from the spatial pattern of accessibility based on the different modes of transportation using the method of network analysis and buffering operations underlines the existence of different patterns. Car transport mode is a commonly accessible mode of community-related to land use interpretation and social issues.
