<br/

Analysis of Social Media for Marketing CPA Services in Australia

    Get PDF
Public accounting firms increasingly use social media to market their services. Determining which social media platforms are the best fit for the firm and its clients can be a challenge. This study examines the use of social media by major Certified Public Accounting firms in Australia, according to the following measures: revenue, number of partners, number of offices, and gender distribution among partners. Findings indicate that social media can play an important role in marketing CPA services. Social media use differs according to revenue and total partners, but not number of offices. In addition, the findings show a gender difference exists, that social media use varies by the firm’s gender make-up, as measured by the female proportion of the firm’s partnership

Symmetry Breaking for Matter Coupled to Linearized Supergravity From the Perspective of the Current Supermultiplet

    Get PDF
We consider a generic supersymmetric matter theory coupled to linearized supergravity, and analyze scenarios for spontaneous symmetry breaking in terms of vacuum expectation values of components of the current supermultiplet. When the vacuum expectation of the energy momentum tensor is zero, but the scalar current or pseudoscalar current gets an expectation, evaluation of the gravitino self energy using the supersymmetry current algebra shows that there is an induced gravitino mass term. The structure of this term generalizes the supergravity action with cosmological constant to theories with CP violation. When the vacuum expectation of the energy momentum tensor is nonzero, supersymmetry is broken; requiring cancellation of the cosmological constant gives the corresponding generalized gravitino mass formula.Comment: 11 page

Differentiation of Benign and Malignant Kidney Masses via Inflammation Parameters

Objective:Despite the recent advances in imaging methods, the rate of 10-20% is still insufficient in predicting the pathology of renal masses. Therefore, we aimed to examine whether hematological inflammatory markers were useful in predicting pathology outcome.Method:One hundred sixteen patients who were operated for kidney mass between January 2010 and October 2020 were included in the study. Retrospectively, preoperative platelets, neutrophils, lymphocytes and their rates were compared with pathology results. Results:The mean age of 116 patients included in the study was 55.36±13.93 years. While pathology results of 26 (22.4%) patients were benign, results of 90 (77.6%) patients were malignant. The neutrophil and neutrophil lymphocyte ratio were significantly lower in the benign group. According to the Fuhrman grade of renal cell carcinoma, platelet and platelet lymphocyte ratio were higher in aggressive groups, whereas lymphocyte count was lower. Conclusion:Hematological inflammatory markers are useful in predicting the pathology outcome of kidney masses before surgery

From roses to bullets: the rise and decline of post-Soviet colour revolutions

    Get PDF
The chapter explores the reasons for the colour revolutions’ successes and failures in the post-Soviet space. The article starts with an overview on the colour movement from the first stirrings to the present day. We then propose criteria that will be applied to our analysis, constructed on five variables. The factual analysis of individual countries that follows is built around these five variables

Thermal hadron production in high energy collisions

It is shown that hadron abundances in high energy e+e-, pp and p{\bar p} collisions, calculated by assuming that particles originate in hadron gas fireballs at thermal and partial chemical equilibrium, are in very good agreement with the data. The freeze-out temperature of the hadron gas fireballs turns out to be nearly constant over a large center of mass energy range and not dependent on the initial colliding system. The only deviation from chemical equilibrium resides in the incomplete strangeness phase space saturation. Preliminary results of an analysis of hadron abundances in S+S and S+Ag heavy ion collisions are presented.Comment: 10 pages, 1 .eps figure, talk given at the Strangeness and Quark Matter 97 conferenc
