    Tulisan ini membahas tentang manifestasi akuntansi syariah dalam etika bisnisIslam, dengan berdasar pada konsep akuntansi syariah dan standar etika bisnisyang diatur dalam bisnis Islam, meskipun tidak membahas secara rinci tentangakuntansi syariah, namun dalam melihat keterpaduan antara konsep dan etikadapat diambil satu makna bahwa keduanya saling sejalan. Dimana konsepakuntansi syariah didasarkan pada pertanggungjawaban, keadilan, dankebenaran. Sedangkan etika bisnis merupakan penerapan tanggung jawab sosialyang mencakup bagaimana kita menjalankan bisnis secara adil (fairness), jujur,dan bijaksana. Kemudian konsep dan etika tersebut bila dicermati surat Al-Baqarah ayat 282, Allah SWT memerintahkan untuk melakukan penulisan secarabenar atas segala transaksi yang pernah terjadi selama melakukan muamalah.Pada intinya ayat ini berkaitan dengan proses catat mencatat (akuntansi) dalamkegiatan bisnis dengan konsep accountability atau pertanggungjawaban,kejujuran, keadilan dan kebenaran.Melakukan kegiatan bisnis dengan etika Islamberarti menerapkan bagian akuntansi syariah

    Frustrated Rotations in Nematic Monolayers

    Tabe and Yokoyama found recently that the optical axis in a chiral monolayer of a ferronematic rotates when water evaporates from the bath: the chiral molecules act as propellers. When the axis is blocked at the lateral walls of the trough, the accumulated rotation inside creates huge splays and bends. We discuss the relaxation of these tensions, assuming that a single dust particle nucleates disclination pairs. For the simplest geometry, we then predict a long delay time followed by a non-periodic sequence of ``bursts''.     Effect of Interdot Resistance on Single Electron Devices with Silicon Multi Dots

    The effect of interdot resistance on single electron devices with Si (silicon) multi dots has been studied in this work. The devices were fabricated by a fabrication method consisting of three steps, i.e., sample preparation by wafer bonding technique, formation of Si dots and formation of Si channel and electrodes. It was found that the interdot resistance, which is influenced by the thickness of the interdot barrier region, determines the localization of the carrier. The device with strong carrier localization reveals the current oscillations on the drain current versus gate voltage characteristics. Such characteristics are caused by the Coulomb blockade effect, and this means that the device works based on single electron phenomenon. These results indicate that the interdot resistance plays an essential role on the device operation

    Nonequilibrium orientational patterns in two-component Langmuir monolayers

    A model of a phase-separating two-component Langmuir monolayer in the presence of a photo-induced reaction interconvering two components is formulated. An interplay between phase separation, orientational ordering and treaction is found to lead to a variety of nonequilibrium self-organized patterns, both stationary and traveling. Examples of the patterns, observed in numerical simulations, include flowing droplets, traveling stripes, wave sources and vortex defects.Comment: Submitted to the Physical Review
