Ecometric Modelling of Limb Proportions and Vegetation Index Among Non-Human Primates in South America
Ecometric modelling assesses how the functional morphology of ecogeographic communities relates to environmental variables. This improves understanding of how the interaction between organism and environment can result in morphological adaptation. This technique has mainly been used to model paleoenvironments, but has the capacity to aid conservation by quantifying how communities are structured through space and time. Here, we test the relationship between limb proportions and the habitat ecology of South American non-human primates. There is a significant but weak fit between limb proportions and habitat, consistent with the environment exerting weak selective pressure on limb proportions. In contrast, body size and phylogeny are strongly correlated with IMI. Together, these findings suggest that habitat was a selection pressure that shaped how New World monkeys' limb proportions evolved but this selection pressure was secondary to that of body size. Research into these functional relationships is important not only to improve scientific understanding of their evolutionary pathways but also in order to aid their protection by informing conservation practices. Ensuring these species have the capacity to move with their niche is an immediate concern, as they face mounting pressure due to deforestation of the Amazon basin

Pendimensian Kapasitas Node B Pada Jaringan Wideband Code Division Multiple Access
Kata Kunci : Pendimensian, KApasitas, Node B, Kode OVSFABSTRACT: Wideband Code Division Multiple Access is a Third Generation of Technology by 3GPP, that in present time was interested and are in progress for more and more efficiently in use of operator. WCDMA provide many type of service called multiservice on packet switched that use a different bitrate on each other depend on the user activity. Generally, dimensioning process in Node B were done without calculate the factors of limitation on their basic technology, like the limitation on availability of power, the effect of interference between user because of the sharing frequency system, and availability of OVSF code that use to spread the information bits when the transmission process depend the service are used. Dimensioning is the initial phase of network planning, the capacity requirements and the overall quality of service targets determine the selection of the RAN transport network and the transport interfaces of Node B and RNC. The calculation and analyze that were done are to get the result of how many a maximum capacity for that cell with keep attention about the limitations of this technology and calculate how many resources that we have to provide to offer that throughput. There is a few steps that we have to do to dimension the capacity of WCDMA, first is to combine the traffic mix from user existing for all RAB type and calculate how many channels are supported for the network. Dimensioning have to be done on maximum load at 50% for uplink and downlink, and next we have to assess the availability OVSF code to make sure in overload condition all channel that are used get the OVSF code. And for the last, we calculate how many resources are channel elements and Iub interface have to provide to offer that final throughput output. From the calculation, throughput allocation that offered by one Node B is 1543 Kbps for downlink and 1708 Kbps for uplink. For resources, we have to provide 233 of channel elements for downlink and 252 of channel elements for uplink, and for Iub interface we have allocate 3469 Kbps for downlink and 3498 Kbps for uplink bandwidth. This final project had been result some detailed steps on Node B capacity dimensioning that can be uses for reference for dimensioning capacity of Node B in a whole Node B on the PT. Telekomunikasi Seluler network. And at this paper, learn much about the basic concept of the dimensioning process on WCDMA system.Keyword: Dimensioning, Capacity, OVSF code, Node
Compactified Jacobians as Mumford models
We show that relative compactified Jacobians of one-parameter smoothings of a
nodal curve of genus g, as constructed by Caporaso, Esteves, and Simpson, are
Mumford models of the generic fiber. Each such model is given by an admissible
polytopal decomposition of the skeleton of the Jacobian. We describe the
decompositions corresponding to compactified Jacobians explicitly in terms of
the auxiliary stability data and find, in particular, that the Simpson
compactified Jacobian in degree g is induced by the tropical break divisor
decomposition.Comment: 23 page
Improvement on hippocampal neuroproliferation through galanin and neuropeptide y y1 receptor agonist interaction
Neurogenesis persists in the hippocampus throughout the lifespan in a wide variety of species including humans. Within the dentate gyrus of the hippocampus, the subgranular zone (SGZ) is maintained as a stem cell niche. We have previously shown that Galanin (GAL) interacts with Neuropeptide Y Y1 receptors (NPYY1R) in several regions of the central nervous system associated with mood and motivation. To examine the acute effects of GALR2/NPYY1R interactions on newborn cells proliferation we analyzed the effects of the intracerebroventricular (icv) of single injections with GAL and NPYY1 agonists or coadministered. Male Sprague-Dawley rats (n = 6-8 per group) were randomly assigned to the groups. Each group received i.c.v. injections of artificial Cerebro Spinal Fluid (aCSF), GAL or NPYY1R agonist [Leu31,Pro34]NPY alone or in combination. Intraperitoneal (ip) injections of exogenous cell DNA marker 5-bromo-2-deoxyuridine (BrdU) 50mg/Kg were made at 2 and 4 hours after icv injections and 24 hours later rats were anesthetized, transcardially perfused and the brains collected for immunostaining to evaluate cell proliferation. Coadministration of GAL and NPYY1R agonist increased BrdU-labeled cells located in the SGZ (P<0,001) compared with aCSF, GAL and the NPYY1R-mediated hippocampal cell proliferation, These results will contribute to a better knowledge of the potential role of GAL and NPY family in mediating neurogenic actions and may give the basis for the therapeutic potential of targeting the GAL and NPY system in depressive disorders.
