Effects of LatticeQCD EoS and Continuous Emission on Some ObseErvables
Effects of lattice-QCD-inspired equations of state and continuous emission on
some observables are discussed, by solving a 3D hydrodynamics. The particle
multiplicity as well as v2 are found to increase in the mid-rapidity. We also

Tunneling effects on impurity spectral function in coupled asymmetric quantum wires
The impurity spectral function is studied in coupled double quantum wires at
finite temperatures. Simple anisotropy in the confinement direction of the
wires leads to finite non-diagonal elements of the impurity spectral function
matrix. These non-diagonal elements are responsible for tunneling effects and
result in pronounced extra peak in the impurity spectral function up to
temperatures as high as 20 K.Comment: Accepted in Phys. Rev.
Magentically-Induced Lattice Distortions and Ferroelectricity in Magnetoelectric GdMnO3
In this work we investigate the magnetic field dependence of Ag octahedra
rotation (tilt) and B2g symmetric stretching modes frequency at different
temperatures. Our field-dependent Raman investigation at 10K is interpreted by
an ionic displacive nature of the magnetically induced ferroelectric phase
transition. The frequency change of the Ag tilt is in agreement with the
stabilization of the Mn-Gd spin arrangement, yielding the necessary conditions
for the onset of ferroelectricity on the basis of the inverse
Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction. The role of the Jahn-Teller cooperative
interaction is also evidenced by the change of the B2g mode frequency at the
ferroelectric phase transition. This frequency change allows estimating the
shift of the oxygen position at the ferroelectric phase transition and the
corresponding spontaneous polarization of 480 {\mu}C/m2, which agrees with
earlier reported values in single crystals. Our study also confirms the
existence of a large magnetic hysteresis at the lowest temperatures, which is a
manifestation of magnetrostiction.Comment: 5 pages, 3 figure
Human lower limb activity recognition techniques, databases, challenges and its applications using sEMG signal: an overview
Human lower limb activity recognition (HLLAR) has grown in popularity over the last decade mainly because to its applications in the identification and control of neuromuscular disorders, security, robotics, and prosthetics. Surface electromyography (sEMG) sensors provide various advantages over other wearable or visual sensors for HLLAR applications, including quick response, pervasiveness, no medical monitoring, and negligible infection. Recognizing lower limb activity from sEMG signals is also challenging owing to the noise in the sEMG signal. Pre- processing of sEMG signals is extremely desirable before the classification because they allow a more consistent and precise evaluation in the above applications. This article provides a segment-by-segment overview of: (1) Techniques for eliminating artifacts from sEMG signals from the lower limb. (2) A survey of existing datasets of lower limb sEMG. (3) A concise description of the various techniques for processing and classifying sEMG data for various applications involving lower limb activity. Finally, an open discussion is presented, which may result in the identification of a variety of future research possibilities for human lower limb activity recognition. Therefore, it is possible to anticipate that the framework presented in this study can aid in the advancement of sEMG-based recognition of human lower limb activity
NeXSPheRIO results on elliptic flow at RHIC and connection with thermalization
Elliptic flow at RHIC is computed event-by-event with NeXSPheRIO. Reasonable
agreement with experimental results on is obtained. Various effects
are studied as well: reconstruction of impact parameter direction, freeze out
