Are the weak channels really weak?

The transfer probabilities for 20Ne + 90Zr and 20Ne + 92Zr at energies near the Coulomb barrier were measured. This quantity turned out to be very similar for both Zr isotopes and does not explain the observed differences in the barrier height distributions for these systems

Fusion Barrier Distributions in 20,22^{20,22}Ne+nat^{nat}Ni

Barriers height distributions for $^{20,22}$Ne on $^{nat}$Ni have been measured using quasi-elastic scattering at backward angles. The results have been compared to coupled-channels calculations performed with the CCQUEL code. A fair agreement with data has been obtained if the values of a hexadecapole deformation parameters of $^{20}$Ne and $^{22}$Ne are reduced by a factor of 2 with respect to their previously quoted values

Radiationless 3d --> 1s transition in muonic atoms of 238^{238}U

The probability of the radiationless muonic transition 3d to 1s in /sup 238/U has been determined. This was done by comparing the singles muonic spectrum with the one gated by the 2p to 1s transition. The probability was found to be (14+or-5)%
