    Isospin violation in the vector form factors of the nucleon

    A quantitative understanding of isospin violation is an increasingly important ingredient for the extraction of the nucleon's strange vector form factors from experimental data. We calculate the isospin violating electric and magnetic form factors in chiral perturbation theory to leading and next-to-leading order respectively, and we extract the low-energy constants from resonance saturation. Uncertainties are dominated largely by limitations in the current knowledge of some vector meson couplings. The resulting bounds on isospin violation are sufficiently precise to be of value to on-going experimental studies of the strange form factors.Comment: 13 pages, 8 figures, uses RevTe

    Pengaruh Single Tuned Filter terhadap Frekuensi Harmonik Ke-3 pada Beban Rumah Tangga 2200 VA

    Beban Rumah Tangga 2200 VA adalah salah satu beban non-linier yang menggambarkan gelombang yang terdistorsi yang mengandung harmonik. Harmonik adalah perkalian integer secara periodik terhadap frekuensi fundamental. Harmonik-harmonik yang timbul tersebut dapat memperburuk kualitas dari Beban non-linier tersebut, salah satu akibatnya adalah memperpendek umur beban non-linier tersebut karena overheating yang terlalu berlebihan. Harmonik-harmonik yang timbul tersebut dapat dihitung dengan Total Harmonic Distortion. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai pengaruh Single Tuned Filter terhadap Frekuensi harmonik ke-3 pada Beban Rumah Tangga 2200 VA untuk mereduksi nilai frekuensi harmonik ke-3. Pengujian yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah pengujian pengaruh positif penurunan frekuensi harmonik ke-3 pada nilai THDV dan THDI terhadap nilai faktor daya. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian yang telah dilakukan penurunan nilai frekuensi harmonik ke-3 pada nilai THDV dan THDI memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap nilai faktor daya. Nilai THDV dan THDI sebelum dipasangi filter memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan daripada Nilai THDV dan THDI sesudah dipasangi filter.     Effect of Multiple Higgs Fields on the Phase Structure of the SU(2)-Higgs Model

    The SU(2)-Higgs model, with a single Higgs field in the fundamental representation and a quartic self-interaction, has a Higgs region and a confinement region which are analytically connected in the parameter space of the theory; these regions thus represent a single phase. The effect of multiple Higgs fields on this phase structure is examined via Monte Carlo lattice simulations. For the case of N>=2 identical Higgs fields, there is no remaining analytic connection between the Higgs and confinement regions, at least when Lagrangian terms that directly couple different Higgs flavours are omitted. An explanation of this result in terms of enhancement from overlapping phase transitions is explored for N=2 by introducing an asymmetry in the hopping parameters of the Higgs fields. It is found that an enhancement of the phase transitions can still occur for a moderate (10%) asymmetry in the resulting hopping parameters.Comment: 10 pages, 8 figures.
