Numerical Evaluation of Two-Dimensional Harmonic Polylogarithms

    Get PDF
The two-dimensional harmonic polylogarithms \G(\vec{a}(z);y), a generalization of the harmonic polylogarithms, themselves a generalization of Nielsen's polylogarithms, appear in analytic calculations of multi-loop radiative corrections in quantum field theory. We present an algorithm for the numerical evaluation of two-dimensional harmonic polylogarithms, with the two arguments y,zy,z varying in the triangle 0y10\le y \le 1, 0z1 0\le z \le 1, $\ 0\le (y+z) \le 1$. This algorithm is implemented into a {\tt FORTRAN} subroutine {\tt tdhpl} to compute two-dimensional harmonic polylogarithms up to weight 4.Comment: 22 pages, LaTe

Patient Monitor for SpO2 and Temperature Parameters

Patient monitor is an apparatus used to monitor the patient\u27s condition in real-time, hence the patient\u27s physiological conditions can be identified at that time. The purpose of this study is to design a patient monitor for SpO2 and temperature parameters based on computer with Delphi progaming. In this work, the author developed  patient monitor with two parameters (SpO2 and Temperature). The workings of this tool are very simple by installing the finger sensor on the finger and the temperature sensor in the armpit area will then be detected by the two sensors that will be displayed on the PC and LCD Characters, analog data from the ADC Atmega is received by the personal computer (PC) via Bluetooth HC -05 and values per parameter are also displayed on the Character LCD. After measuring, get an error in the tool, the biggest SpO2 error of this tool is 1.02% and get the smallest error of 0.8%. And for the biggest error of Temperature of 1.02% and the smallest error of 0.8%

Master Integrals for Massless Three-Loop Form Factors: One-Loop and Two-Loop Insertions

    Get PDF
The three-loop form factors in massless QCD can be expressed as a linear combination of master integrals. Besides a number of master integrals which factorise into products of one-loop and two-loop integrals, one finds 16 genuine three-loop integrals. Of these, six have the form of a bubble insertion inside a one-loop or two-loop vertex integral. We compute all master integrals with these insertion topologies.Comment: 12 pages, 1 figur

    - XSummer - Transcendental Functions and Symbolic Summation in Form

Harmonic sums and their generalizations are extremely useful in the evaluation of higher-order perturbative corrections in quantum field theory. Of particular interest have been the so-called nested sums, where the harmonic sums and their generalizations appear as building blocks, originating for example from the expansion of generalized hypergeometric functions around integer values of the parameters. In this Letter we discuss the implementation of several algorithms to solve these sums by algebraic means, using the computer algebra system Form.Comment: 21 pages, 1 figure, Late

Two-Loop Quark and Gluon Form Factors in Dimensional Regularisation

    Get PDF
We compute the two-loop corrections to the massless quark form factor γqqˉ\gamma^* \to q\bar q and gluon form factor HggH\to gg to all orders in the dimensional regularisation parameter ϵ=(4d)/2\epsilon=(4-d)/2. The two-loop contributions to the form factors are reduced to linear combinations of master integrals, which are computed in a closed form, expressed as Γ\Gamma-functions and generalised hypergeometric functions of unit argument. Using the newly developed HypExp-package, these can be expanded to any desired order, yielding Laurent expansions in ϵ\epsilon. We provide expansions of the form factors to order ϵ2\epsilon^2, as required for ultraviolet renormalisation and infrared factorisation of the three-loop form factors.Comment: 9 pages, latex, references update

Lukman Hakim, S.IP., M.Si.

Harmonic polylogarithms (˝a;x)\H(\vec{a};x), a generalization of Nielsen's polylogarithms Sn,p(x){S}_{n,p}(x), appear frequently in analytic calculations of radiative corrections in quantum field theory. We present an algorithm for the numerical evaluation of harmonic polylogarithms of arbitrary real argument. Four-loop results on anomalous dimensions and splitting functions in QCD

We report on recent progress on the flavour non-singlet splitting functions in perturbative QCD. The~exact four-loop (N^3LO) contribution to these functions has been obtained in the planar limit of a large number of colours. Phenomenologically sufficient approximate expressions have been obtained for the parts not exactly known so far. Both cases include results for the four-loop cusp and virtual anomalous dimensions which are relevant well beyond the evolution of non-singlet quark distributions, for which an accuracy of (well) below 1% has now been been reached.Comment: 11 pages, LaTeX (PoS style), 4 eps-figures. BSAURUS- A Package For Inclusive B-Reconstruction in DELPHI

    Get PDF
BSAURUS is a software package for the inclusive reconstruction of B-hadrons in Z-decay events taken by the DELPHI detector at LEP. The BSAURUS goal is to reconstruct B-decays, by making use of as many properties of b-jets as possible, with high efficiency and good purity. This is achieved by exploiting the capabilities of the DELPHI detector to their extreme, applying wherever possible physics knowledge about B production and decays and combining different information sources with modern tools- mainly artificial neural networks. This note provides a reference of how BSAURUS outputs are formed, how to access them within the DELPHI framework, and the physics performance one can expect.Comment: 52 pages, 24 figures, added author Z.
