Blind Adaptive Watermarking Based on Wavelet Transform and HVS

    Get PDF
This paper proposes a novel blind image adaptive watermarking scheme in Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) domain for copyright protection or robust tagging applications. Watermarking scheme effectively utilizes the contrast sensitivity model of Human Visual System (HVS) to embed the watermark adaptively without degradation of the original image. Watermark can be extracted without referring to the original image. Simulation results show the robustness of the proposed algorithm against various attacks

A Comprehensive Review of Modulation Techniques used in Long Term Evolution

    Get PDF
3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) has come up with a technology called Long Term Evolution (LTE) to attain a new high-speed radio access in the field of mobile communications. Design of wireless communication system has been an important and challenging problem due to the nature of wireless channel. There are number of factors involved in the performance of a LTE system. Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) and Single Carrier Frequency Division (SC-FDMA) are a dominant part of future mobile communication. This paper describes about LTE physical layer, OFDMA and SC-FDMA receiver and transmitter structures, draw attention on the factor that influences the performance and improvement of multiple access techniques. The substantial use of the adaptive modulation in LTE is the main highlight of the paper. The selection of modulation techniques on the basis of BER, Error probability and SNR are computed

Design and Implementation of High Speed Bi-directional Transceiver for Low Power Applications

    Get PDF
In this paper, a new bi-directional transceiver has been proposed for high speed signaling. The new proposed transceiver architecture has two modes of operation namely, the transmitter and the receiver. Transceiver on either side supports two way communications via same link. Since high transimpedance gain over a large bandwidth in the receiving mode, the signaling current can be reduced to a very low value. The proposed circuit is designed in 90nm technology with the supply voltage of 1.8V

Limited Data Speaker Verification: Fusion of Features

    Get PDF
The present work demonstrates experimental evaluation of speaker verification for different speech feature extraction techniques with the constraints of limited data (less than 15 seconds). The state-of-the-art speaker verification techniques provide good performance for sufficient data (greater than 1 minutes). It is a challenging task to develop techniques which perform well for speaker verification under limited data condition. In this work different features like Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC), Linear Prediction Cepstral Coefficients (LPCC), Delta (4), Delta-Delta (44), Linear Prediction Residual (LPR) and Linear Prediction Residual Phase (LPRP) are considered. The performance of individual features is studied and for better verification performance, combination of these features is attempted. A comparative study is made between Gaussian mixture model (GMM) and GMM-universal background model (GMM-UBM) through experimental evaluation. The experiments are conducted using NIST-2003 database. The experimental results show that, the combination of features provides better performance compared to the individual features. Further GMM-UBM modeling gives reduced equal error rate (EER) as compared to GMM
