The regulatory environment of the section of the non-standardized goods market - The findings of an interview research on Hungarian construction industry small enterprises

In this paper the behavior of economic actors shown in the uncertain quality goods markets is examined from the perspective of the sociology of markets. The analysis uses the findings of in-depth interviews conducted in 2011 and 2012 respectively amongst small and medium size entrepreneurs working in construction industry. In the Hungarian construction industry neither formal rules, nor vocational chambers, are able to create a safe environment for entrepreneurs. Nevertheless, networks created as a result of micro-selection steps might be able to enforce the quality of services, observe deadlines and what is more, ensure payment discipline. In this market, the typical high risk can be reduced by relationships. Networks reduce also the cost of transactions, since the important part of the services in this field could only be standardized at significant costs

Expected Long-Term Labour Market Resilience and the European Union’s Perceived Role Results of an Online Policy Delphi

The 2008 crisis highlighted how fragile the labour markets of the European Union’s member states were, while it also directed attention to the eventual further deepening of integration as a potential solution. Nevertheless, employment and labour market policy competences are still on the national level with relatively low EU intervention. In a recent study, we explored the role of the EU in facilitating potential policy solutions with regards to labour market resilience until 2030. The study focused on labour market experts’ opinion, coming from different European countries; and took form of an online Policy Delphi Survey combined with backcasting to predict the importance and feasibility of policies concerning future challenges. The most important policies considered to be best suited to deal with the main challenges of the labour market in the EU until 2030 are education, investment in human and social capital and improvement of social policies and protection, including migration policy. The research revealed a systematic gap between the importance and feasibility of relevant solutions

Production of CNT forests by a simple layer building method on a conductive substrate

The carbon nanotubes (CNTs) play an important role in nanotechnology research today because the CNT have outstanding properties. Many substrates can be used to fabricate carbon nanotube forests (CNT forests); however, it is important that the desired structure is achieved on a conductive substrate, and for these reasons, carbon nanotube forests have been synthetized on a titanium substrate in this research. Environmental protection is highly discussed nowadays, therefore it is necessary to be able to produce CNT forests with less energy investment and costeffectively. For these reasons, we used dip-coating method, which is a simple process and without heat-treatments step to save energy in achieving the forest structure. Therefore, this research uses a dip-coating method to form a catalyst layer on the surface of the substrate, and to investigate the effect of heat-treatment of the substrate to produce CNT forests directly on the titanium substrate
