Exclusive J/psi and Upsilon hadroproduction as a probe of the QCD Odderon

We study the exclusive production of J/psi or Upsilon in pp and bar pp collisions, where the meson emerges from the pomeron--odderon and the pomeron--photon fusion. We estimate the cross sections for these processes for the kinematical conditions of the Tevatron and of the LHC.Comment: 6 pages Latex, 3 figures, talk given at 12th International Conference on Elastic and Diffractive Scattering, 21-25 May 2007, DESY, Hambur

The spin dependent odderon in the diquark model

    Get PDF
In this short note, we report a di-quark model calculation for the spin dependent odderon and demonstrate that the asymmetrical color source distribution in the transverse plane of a transversely polarized hadron plays an essential role in yielding the spin dependent odderon. This calculation confirms the earlier finding that the spin dependent odderon is closely related to the parton orbital angular momentum.Comment: 10 pages, 5 figures, version accepted for publication in PL

Baryon to meson transition distribution amplitudes and their spectral representation

We consider the problem of construction of a spectral representation for nucleon to meson transition distribution amplitudes (TDAs), non-diagonal matrix elements of nonlocal three quark light-cone operators between a nucleon and a meson states. We introduce the notion of quadruple distributions and generalize Radyshkin's factorized Ansatz for this issue. Modelling of baryon to meson TDAs in the complete domain of their definition opens the way to quantitative estimates of cross-sections for various hard exclusive reactions.Comment: Talk presented at International Workshop on Diffraction in High-Energy Physics DIFFRACTION 2010, September 10 - 15, 2010 Otranto (Lecce), Italy. 4 page

A spectral representation for baryon to meson transition distribution amplitudes

We construct a spectral representation for the baron to meson transition distribution amplitudes (TDAs), i.e. matrix elements involving three quark correlators which arise in the description of baryon to meson transitions within the factorization approach to hard exclusive reactions. We generalize for these quantities the notion of double distributions introduced in the context of generalized parton distributions. We propose the generalization of A.Radyushkin's factorized Ansatz for the case of baryon to meson TDAs. Our construction opens the way to modeling of baryon to meson TDAs in their complete domain of definition and quantitative estimates of cross-sections for various hard exclusive reactions.Comment: This is the second version of the paper. Important changes were made in the text and many errors in the formulas were corrected. 37 pages, 8 figure

Sudakov Resummations in Mueller-Navelet Dijet Production

In high energy hadron-hadron collisions, dijet production with large rapidity separation proposed by Mueller and Navelet, is one of the most interesting processes which can help us to directly access the well-known Balitsky-Fadin-Kuraev-Lipatov evolution dynamics. The objective of this work is to study the Sudakov resummation of Mueller-Navelet jets. Through the one-loop calculation, Sudakov type logarithms are obtained for this process when the produced dijets are almost back-to-back. These results could play an important role in the phenomenological study of dijet correlations with large rapidity separation at the LHC.Comment: 20 pages, 5 figures; v2, refs adde

Cross Section and Single Transverse Target Spin Asymmetry for backward Pion Electroproduction.

Nucleon to meson transition distribution amplitudes (TDAs), non-diagonal matrix elements of nonlocal three quark operators between a nucleon and a meson states, arise within the collinear factorized description of hard exclusive electroproduction of mesons off nucleons in the backward direction. Below we address the problem of modelling pion to nucleon TDAs. We suggest a factorized Ansatz for quadruple distributions with input from the soft pion theorem for pi N TDAs. In order to satisfy the polynomiality property in its full form the spectral representation is complemented with a D-term like contribution from the nucleon exchange in the u-channel of the reaction. We present our estimates for the backward pion electroproduction unpolarized cross section and its transverse target single spin asymmetry within our composite model for pi N TDAs.Comment: 6 pages, 3 figures, proceedings of the XIV Advanced Research Workshop on High Energy Spin Physics, Dubna, sept.20-24, 2011 (DSPIN-11
