Seasonality of MRSA Infections
Using MRSA isolates submitted to our hospital microbiology laboratory January 2001âMarch 2010 and the number of our emergency department (ED) visits, quarterly community-associated (CA) and hospital-associated (HA) MRSA infections were modeled using Poisson regressions. For pediatric patients, approximately 1.85x (95% CI 1.45xâ2.36x, adj. p<0.0001) as many CA-MRSA infections per ED visit occurred in the second two quarters as occurred in the first two quarters. For adult patients, 1.14x (95% CI 1.01xâ1.29x, adj.pâ=â0.03) as many infections per ED visit occurred in the second two quarters as in the first two quarters. Approximately 2.94x (95% CI 1.39xâ6.21x, adj.pâ=â0.015) as many HA-MRSA infections per hospital admission occurred in the second two quarters as occurred in the first two quarters for pediatric patients. No seasonal variation was observed among adult HA-MRSA infections per hospital admission. We demonstrated seasonality of MRSA infections and provide a summary table of similar observations in other studies
An analysis of a temperature change in a crossâsection of borehole heat exchanger

The bad effect of this method is present by the same value of temperature in horizontal crossâsection and along BHE.
The analysis of change of temperature field in the sealing cement BHE is a possibility for numerical simulation or
laboratory model. Computer simulation needed according energy transport law. It to say about quantity of energy
conducting between horizontal crossâsection of BHE cells, on which is divided. The second method obtains value of
temperature points of the sealing cement. This is to be realized by sensors set up in to the horizontal crossâsection of

An Ethnography of Trumpism in Vermont
The widespread phenomenon of Trumpism has become a divisive force in American political culture. Trumpism is a style of confrontational populist political communication associated with alienated white communities and tied to a loose and flexible political agenda built around nativism, alienation, and traditionalism. Trumpism is a cultural phenomenon grounded in symbolic claims about the nation, but it is understood and filtered at the local level in highly regional and localized ways. Rather than approaching it as a homogeneous political force or singular doctrine, it is important to explore how it gains meaning at the local level in relationship with the cultural and political contexts of a particular community. This thesis will be an ethnography of Trumpism in Vermont, exploring how cultural and political histories of the state, and the distinct needs, beliefs, and experiences of Vermonters, shape its meanings and expressions. It adds a local study to the increasingly-relevant field of political anthropology of alienated groups in the US, and it will examine the underlying complexity of Vermont political culture and âVermonterâ identity formation as it relates to the phenomenon of Trumpism
Research on cement recipes for CCS application
The technology of CO2 sequestration is connected with the necessity of drilling wells, which construction is adapted
to aggressive CO2 rich environment. Recipes of cement slurries, used nowadays in carbohydrates production wells,
are prepared without considering corrosion occurrence caused by affection of acidic environments originating from
carbonate acid radicals. Although increased resistance to sulfates is typical for these cements, this does not guarantee
any resistance to corrosive effects of CO2. Density, fluidity, filtration, Marsh Funnel viscosity and rheological parameters measurements (with a twelveâranged viscometer FANN) were carried out. Using Rheosolution Software, a proper rheological model for each recipe was matched. Corrosive effect on cement rock was obtained through keeping samples in pressure tanks containing compressed CO2 for the period of 180 and 360 days. Directly after taking the samples out of the tanks, flexural and compressive strength tests were carried out with the use of hydraulic press. The results were compared and differences
between the samples from CO2 and samples taken from water environment according to API recommendations were
presented. The corrosion effect on the samples from both environments was presented with microscopic images.
Lengthening of the slurry thickening time and improvement of the slurry fluidity were obtained thanks to adding the
third generation superplastifier produced by BASF Polska Sp. z
