    Popularity of Tracking Device as an Anti-theft Measure and Impact of its sales on Sales of Auto Insurance Policies: Evidence from Karachi, Pakistan

    In this paper attempt has been made to examine the popularity of tracking devices and its impact on the sales of automobiles insurance policies. Literature review revealed that people insure their vehicles to protect them from theft as well as from other perils such as fire, SRCC, accidental losses and third party liability. The coverage is mainly obtained to prevent theft, which has the major significance. Insurance companies have been trying since a long time to curtail the cost of theft, which is the major cause for higher premium rates. To achieve the objectives of this study Non Probability Technique known as Purposive Sampling is applied, based upon questionnaire survey from a representative sample of tracker and insurance service users. This research revealed that blending the motor insurance policies, with tracker devices, have successfully attracted the major chunk of market and have gained access to a larger segment of the market, offering packaged policies with discounted premium rates and hence the loss ratio has declined with the use of these devices, which ultimately affects the premium rates. The researchers tested the relationship between tracker sales and insurance policy sales. The research revealed significant insights into the relationship.Tracker Devices, Auto Insurance, Sales, Theft, Third Party Liability.

    Faktor semangat merupakan kilauan mata, langkah kaki, pegangan tangan, aliran darah dan tenaga untuk mewujudkan cita – cita pada setiap manusia. Bagi tujuan untuk melaksanakan atau mewujudkan keadaan ini diperlukan keyakinan, keberanian dan kualiti hidup untuk yang ingin memahaminya. Beberapa aspek terjadinya kemerosotan disebabkan pelanggaran prinsip–prinsip dasar kehidupan. Tuntunan cahaya (Nur) Allah S.W.T akan mampu membuka rahsia – rahsia kehidupan dan membuka mata hati. Cahaya ini membolehkan kita menjalani kehidupan yang penuh ketidakpastian dan menemukan suatu keseimbangan batin, hidup secara kreatif “meskipun” ada ketidakpastian, melainkan adanya ketidakpastian yang penuh ilham. Arah cahaya yang salah boleh memberi kesan kecacatan bagi yang memahaminya. Arah dan fokus cahaya yang lurus (light beam collimation) dan sesuai dengan fitrah manusia akan memberikan manfaat bagi yang menerimanya (Ayat Al-Quran Surah An-Nur 35: ) ٱللَّهُ نُورُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ‌ۚ مَثَلُ نُورِهِۦ كَمِشۡكَوٰةٍ۬ فِيہَا مِصۡبَاحٌ‌ۖ ٱلۡمِصۡبَاحُ فِى زُجَاجَةٍ‌ۖ ٱلزُّجَاجَةُ كَأَنَّہَا كَوۡكَبٌ۬ دُرِّىٌّ۬ يُوقَدُ مِن شَجَرَةٍ۬ مُّبَـٰرَڪَةٍ۬ زَيۡتُونَةٍ۬ لَّا شَرۡقِيَّةٍ۬ وَلَا غَرۡبِيَّةٍ۬ يَكَادُ زَيۡتُہَا يُضِىٓءُ وَلَوۡ لَمۡ تَمۡسَسۡهُ نَارٌ۬‌ۚ نُّورٌ عَلَىٰ نُورٍ۬‌ۗ يَہۡدِى ٱللَّهُ لِنُورِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ‌ۚ وَيَضۡرِبُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡأَمۡثَـٰلَ لِلنَّاسِ‌ۗ وَٱللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَىۡءٍ عَلِيمٌ۬ Ertinya: Allah (Pemberi) cahaya (kepada) langit dan bumi. perumpamaan cahaya Allah, adalah seperti sebuah lubang yang tak tembus[a], yang di dalamnya ada Pelita besar. Pelita itu di dalam kaca (dan) kaca itu seakan-akan bintang (yang bercahaya) seperti mutiara, yang dinyalakan dengan minyak dari pohon yang berkahnya, (yaitu) pohon zaitun yang tumbuh tidak di sebelah timur (sesuatu) dan tidak pula di sebelah barat(nya)[b], yang minyaknya (saja) hampir-hampir menerangi, walaupun tidak disentuh api. cahaya di atas cahaya (berlapis-lapis), Allah membimbing kepada cahaya-Nya siapa yang dia kehendaki, dan Allah memperbuat perumpamaan-perumpamaan bagi manusia, dan Allah Maha mengetahui segala sesuatu.     Face recognition systems have gained increasing importance in today’s society, which applications range from access controls to secure systems to electronic devices such as mobile phones and laptops. However, the security of face recognition systems is currently being threatened by the emergence of spoofing attacks that happens when someone tries to unauthorizedly bypass the biometric system by presenting a photo, 3-dimensional mask, or replay video of a legit user. The video attacks are perhaps one of the most frequent, cheapest, and simplest spoofing techniques to cheat face recognition systems. This research paper focuses on face liveness detection in video attacks, intending to determine if the provided input biometric samples came from a live face or spoof attack by extracting frames from the videos and classifying them by using the Resnet-50 deep learning algorithm. The majority voting mechanism is used as a decision fusion to derive a final verdict. The experiment was conducted on the spoof videos of the Replay-attack dataset. The results demonstrated that the optimal number of frames for video liveness detection is 3 with an accuracy of 96.93 %.  This result is encouraging since the low number of frames requires minimal time for processing
