Post Implementation Review of E-Cover Note : A Case Study in the State of Perlis

The aim of this study is to identify user acceptance to E-Cover Note application which is implemented by Road Transport Department. The application is an electronic service provided online for insurance companies and agencies in replacement of the manual cover notes system. This paper also describes the evolvement and emergence of e-government globally. In addition, it also identifies Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as a methodology for evaluating user acceptance of the new information technology. A user acceptance testing was carried out in which twelve questions was asked via the questionnaire distributed among the users in the state of Perlis. The study shows that the users accept this application as useful for their work even though the learning process is quite complicated at the beginning. This project can serve as a model for future studies in evaluating user acceptance of new technologies. Further studies can be conducted to identify user acceptance of e-Cover Note in other state in Malaysia

Hadis Berkaitan Khutbah Jumaat dan Keberkesanannya dalam Metodologi Dakwah [Hadith Related To Friday Sermon And Its Effectiveness In Dakwah Communication]

Khutbah Jumaat ialah ucapan berbentuk syarahan yang disampaikan oleh seorang khatib pada hari Jumaat. Khutbah juga merupakan salah satu medium dakwah secara lisan yang menjadi saluran untuk menyampaikan maklumat dan pengetahuan kepada umat Islam. Walau bagaimanapun, mutu khutbah pada masa kini masih dipengaruhi oleh jangka masa dan keadaan semasa yang mana dibimbangi tidak memberi kesan positif kepada pendengar. Sebagai contoh, wujud segelintir ahli jemaah yang tidak mengambil perhatian dan manfaat serta kebaikan daripada pelaksanaan solat Jumaat iaitu mendengar khutbah. Justeru itu, kajian ini dijalankan bagi mencapai dua objektif utama: Untuk menjelaskan keberkesanan khutbah Jumaat sebagai salah satu metodologi dakwah; dan untuk menghuraikan hadis Nabawi yang membincangkan tentang kewajipan mendengar khutbah dan mengerjakan solat Jumaat. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif, kajian ini dapat memberi kesedaran kepada masyarakat Islam tentang kepentingan mendengar khutbah Jumaat serta perkara-perkara yang tidak digalakkan semasa khatib sedang berkhutbah. Hal ini kerana, khutbah mengandungi pelbagai pesanan dan intipati yang bermanfaat bagi pendengar untuk memantapkan akidah di samping untuk terus menguatkan kepercayaan kepada Allah SWT. Ia juga menjadi benteng penguat kepada iman umat Islam dan merupakan salah satu wasilah yang berkesan dalam konteks dakwah. Friday sermon is a speech in the form of a lecture delivered by a preacher on Friday. It is also one of the forms of oral preaching, which is a channel to convey information and knowledge to Muslims. However, the quality of sermons nowadays is still influenced by the timeframe and the current situation, which is feared to have a negative effect on the listeners. For example, there are a few members of the congregation who do not pay attention to the benefits and virtues of performing the Friday prayer, which is listening to the sermon. Therefore, this study was conducted to achieve two main objectives: (1) to explain the effectiveness of the Friday sermon as one of the da'wah methodologies; and (2) to explain the Prophet's hadith, which discusses the obligation to listen to the sermon and perform the Friday prayer. By using a qualitative method, this study can give awareness to the Muslim community about the importance of listening to the Friday sermon as well as things that are not encouraged while the preacher is preaching. This is because the sermon contains various messages and essences that are beneficial for the listeners to strengthen their beliefs, in addition to continuing to strengthen their faith in Allah SWT. It is also a fortress that reinforces the faith of Muslims and is one of the most effective wasilahs in the context of da'wah

KAJIAN PENERIMAAN PENSYARAH TERHADAP PENGAJARAN DAN PEMBELAJARAN HADITH BERBANTUKAN LAMAN WEB AL-DURAR AL-SANIYYAH (LECTURERS’ ACCEPTANCE ON THE TEACHING AND LEARNING OF HADITH AIDED BY THE AL-DURAR AL-SANIYYAH WEBSITE)

Kertas kerja ini berkisar berkenaan laman web al-Durar al-Saniyyah yang menyediakan kemudahan rujukan hadis secara dalam talian. Kajian ini menggunakan kaedah kajian lapangan secara kualitatif yang bersandarkan kepada temuduga separa berstruktur bersama pensyarah dari Fakulti Pengajian Quran dan Sunnah (FPQS), Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia. Antara objektif kertas kerja ini adalah mengkaji latar belakang laman web, menilai keberkesanan penggunaannya dalam proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran, mengkaji sejauh mana ia mudah digunakan dan mengenal pasti beberapa kelebihan serta kekurangannya. Kajian ini juga turut mendalami persepsi mereka terhadap beberapa isu takhrij hadis, penggunaan laman web tersebut dalam mentakhrijkan hadis, dan kesesuaian laman web itu bagi kajian hadis. Hasil kajian mendapati laman web ini mudah untuk digunakan dan berkesan untuk proses pentakhrijan hadis. Ia juga membantu memudahkan pengajaran dan pembelajaran. Kesimpulannya, laman web al-Durar al-Saniyyah ini perlu diperkenalkan sebagai salah satu alat bantu mengajar yang menggunakan hadis sebagai sumber serta proses kajian hadis secara umum. The study used a qualitative approach through semi-structured interview sessions with lecturers of Faculty of Quranic and Sunnah Studies,Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia. The objectives of this study were to review the background of the website, analyze the effectiveness of the website in teaching and learning process, its ease of use, as well as its advantages and disadvantages. Then, this study was also focusing on the perception of the respondents about several issues regarding takhrij hadith and the suitability of, the website in explaining  takhrij hadith. The findings indicated that this website was easy to use and very effective in takhrij hadith process. It also helped easing the teaching and learning process. In summary, this website should be promoted as an effective teaching tool utilizing hadith resources and hadith studies generally. Keywords: web-based learning, takhrij hadith, hadith studies, al-Durar al-Saniyyah websit
