Elliptic equations in graphs via stochastic games

Consider a connected finite graph E with set of vertices X. Choose a nonempty subset Y &#8834 X, not equal to the whole X, and call it the boundary Y = ∂ X. We are given a real valued function F : Y &#8594 R. We prove existence and uniqueness of the solution of the above Dirichlet problem and study qualitative properties of the solutions

Four-gap glass RPC as a candidate to a large area thin time-of-flight detector

A four-gap glass RPC with 0.3mm gap size was tested with hadron beam as a time-of-flight detector having a time resolution of ~ 100ps. A thickness of the detector together with front-end electronics is ~ 12mm. Results on time resolution dependently on a pad size are presented. This paper contains first result on the timing RPC (with ~ 100ps resolution) having a strip read-out. Study has been done within the HARP experiment (CERN-PS214) R&D work. A obtaned data can be useful if a design of a large area thin timing detector has to be done.Comment: 18 pages, 13 figure

Ion implantation in polymers: chemical aspects

The review summarizes results of the investigations on the nature of chemical processes occurring in the polymer matrix under ion bombardment and the role of these processes in modification of electrical and optical properties of ionimplanted polymers. The fate of the implanted species, structure of ionimplanted layer and possible microelectronic applications of ion-implanted polymers are also discussed

Experience of Greece on recapitalization of banks, marketing management and personnel retraining in conditions of economic recession

The article covers instruments which are aimed at strengthening of global and national financial and credit systems, encouraging banks recapitalization, techniques of marketing management of financial and credit sector development focused on ensuring financial stability of banks. The authors consider also basic methods of banking market services regulation, point out specific issues of bank management and human recourse management development in conditions of economic recession. Greek experience of anti-crisis measures has revealed key factors and peculiarities of the changes that were brought by the global financial crisis of 2008-2010 to development of banking systems of the countries implementing the model of “catch-up development”. The experience of Greece in development and application of regulatory instruments has shown that if in the period of long sustainable economic growth for countries having emerging markets an opportunity to use the methods and control systems of developed countries can be visible, then with the appearance of negative scenarios system limitations come to the fore and the risks associated with high degree of uncertainty are realized.peer-reviewe
