    Teacher’s Will to Promote Tax: A Preliminary Evidence to Build Tax People in Indonesia through Community Partnership

    This article describes the teacher’s willingness to promote tax and the constraints. The often overlooked aspect of tax administration is the immense effort applied to build a partnership with the community to facilitate and improve voluntary compliance. Teachers, as one of informal leader in society, is such community. Primary data collected by survey method to high school teachers in Bogor and Jakarta in 2013 and 2015 respectively. This study finds that teachers have high willingness to participate in promote tax. Most of the them will transfer their tax knowledge and skill to their students and society. Furthermore, tax socialization and training can change their perspective of tax positively. However, lack of tax knowledge, both theoretically and practically, are the constraints. Most of them don’t do their tax obligation in tax reporting because they never receive any tax withheld evidence. As the recommendation, teacher’s empowerment as tax promoter can be one of solutions to develop tax people in Indonesia. Moreover, there should be more tax socialization and training for teachers, in this matter academician from universities can contribute more in such activities. The result of present study contributes to fields concerned with building tax people and improving tax morale. Further research to develop tax promoter concept from informal leader will be prospective for building tax people through community partnership.     Keywords: tax people, tax promoter, voluntary tax compliance, teacher, community partnership, tax socialization

    Abstrack: The research aims to increase student learning achievement on the subject structure of atoms and the periodic system of elements in class XI science SMAN 1 Kateman Inhil. This research was of experiment research with pretest-posttest design. The samples of this research were the XI science 1 as the experimental group and XI science 2 class as the control group. In experimental group was applied cooperative learning type Student Facilitator and Explaining model, while the control class was not. Data analysis technique used is the t-test. Based on analysis data tcount>ttable is 4,83 > 1,67, means that the application of model cooperative learning type Student Facilitator and Explaining can improve student achievement on the subject structure of atoms and the periodic system of elements in class XI science SMAN 1 Kateman Inhil by category increase achievement (N-Gain) high at 0.72

    A microfluidic chip-based assay outperforms common methods for quantification of cell-free DNA and RNA

    Plasma and serum contain cell-free DNA and RNA and are common specimens used for pathology investigation. Circulating nucleic acids in plasma and serum (CNAPS) represent an important target for analyzing several conditions including prenatal diagnostics, tumors, infections, and inflammatory disorders. It is highly expected that plasma and serum contain potential biomarkers for the detection of cancers and other pathological conditions. The major challenges are that CNAPS are present in small quantities and are highly degraded, hampering their downstream analysis. For example, obtaining acceptable quality and quantity of CNAPS remains a bottleneck for advanced studies such as those using next-generation sequencing (NGS) platforms as the currently available platforms require nanogram to microgram levels of deoxyribonucleic acid or ribonucleic acid (DNA/RNA) input. This paper examines the use of various methods to quantify CNAPS, including quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR), digital PCR (dPCR), fluorometric assay, gel electrophoresis, and Bioanalyzer. In particular, the results of CNAPS quantification using a fluorometer, a NanoDrop spectrophotometer, and a microfluidic chip-based assay were compared. It is asserted that spectrophotometry, fluorometric assay and gel electrophoresis lack sensitivity for detecting CNAPS; thus, highly sensitive methods such as qRT-PCR, dPCR, and Bioanalyzer are required

    Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis efektivitas Project Based Learning (PjBL) terhadap keterampilan menulis bahan ajar IPA Calon Guru SD. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen (Single-One Group Pretest-Posttest Design) dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa lembar penilaian portofolio, lembar observasi, dan lembar angket. Efektivitas dianalisis menggunakan n-gain dan uji T. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa calon guru yang mengontrak matakuliah Pembelajaran IPA di Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar (PGSD) Universitas Muhammadiyah Cirebon. Temuan penelitian ini telah menghasilkan buku ajar cetak IPA yang kontekstual. Selain itu, keterampilan calon guru dalam menyusun bahan ajar cetak yang relevan dengan kebutuhan dan karakter siswa serta kurikulum yang berlaku juga meningkat. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil penilaian yang meningkat signifikan dari 2,71 (kategori cukup terampil) menjadi 3,83 (kategori terampil) serta didukung oleh hasil n-Gain yang tinggi yaitu 0,87. Selain itu berdasarkan uji T diketahui bahwa t hitung sebesar 8,050 lebih besar dari t tabel yaitu 2,045. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini model PjBL dapat dijadikan salah satu alternatif model pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis bahan ajar mahasiswa calon guru SD

    Penerapan Penilaian Autentik oleh Guru IPA di Smp/mts Negeri Se-kota Banda Aceh

    This study aims to know the implementation of authentic assessment done by science teachers at Public Junior High School/ Public Islamic Junior High School in Banda Aceh area. This study uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection technique is done by using questionnaires where researcher distributes the questionnaires to science teachers and interviews some of them. The source data of this research are 20 science teachers in Public Junior High School/Public Islamic Junior High School Banda Aceh. The chosen schools are Public Junior High School number 1, 2, and 18 Banda Aceh. The results of this study is that not all of the teachers face difficulties in implementing authentic assessment in school due to most of the teachers (68%) at Public/Public Islamic Junior High School Banda Aceh have implemented the authentic assessment in each school. At the stage of readiness of authentic assessment, the majority of teachers (73.5%) have already implemented it well; the teachers can gather information of learners, can choose various teaching techniques, and conduct daily, midterm and final tests. In assessment planning (56.6%), it is still found that teaching planning which does not have clear assessments, such as questions instrument gratings, questions instrument, and scoring guidelines. While in implementing the authentic assessment, the majority of the teachers (74.5%) do assessment when teaching learning process goes
