This research aims to investigate the effect of quantum teaching model on socio-emotional intelligence and natural science learning achievement in primary school in Banyuning. This is a quasi-experimental research with pre-test post-test control group design. Sample in this research is fifth grade primary school students in Banyuning, which is determined using random sampling technique. Research data were collected with test to measure natural science achievement and using questionnaire to measure socio-emotional intelligence. The result shows that quantum teaching model affected socio-emotional intelligence and achievement in natural science in fifth grade primary school students in Banyuning significantly. Specifically, the results are (1) there's a significant difference in socio-emotional intelligence between group who followed quantum teaching model with group who followed conventional teaching (F = 336,936 p<0,05); (2) there's a significant difference in natural science achievement between group who followed quantum teaching model with group who followed conventional teaching (F = 17,774 p<0,05); (3) there's a significant difference in socio-emotional intelligence and achievement in natural science simultaneously between group who followed quantum teaching model with group who followed conventional teaching (F = 180,801 p<0,05)

Sunscreen is a cosmetic substance that has the ability to reflect or absorb sunlight actively. It can prevent skin irritation due to UV rays. One of the natural ingredients with a sunscreen effect is the Edible-nest swiftlet's (Aerodramus fuciphagus) nest (ESN). This study aimed to determine the value of the sun protective factor (SPF) of the ESN water extract. The ESN water extract solution with variation concentration, this is 2000, 2500, 5000, 6000, and 7000 ppm, were measured by spectrophotometric UV-Vis at wavelength 290-375 nm with 5 nm intervals to determine the value of SPF, percentage of erythema transmission (%Te), and percentage of pigmentation transmission (%Tp) of ESN water extract. The result showed that the ESN water extract's SPF values at the concentration 2000, 2500, 5000, 6000, and 7000 ppm were 7.80; 9.68; 18.75; 20.58; and 22.24. The value of %Te of each concentration were 15.60±0.19; 10.03±0.42; 1.24±0.04; 0.81±0.01 and 0.56±0.01. While the value of %Tp of each concentration was showed the sunblock category. In conclusion, the ESN water extract from Central Kalimantan at the concentration of 6000 ppm has potential in ultraviolet protection against the skin in the ultra category with sunblock category mechanism. Further, it can be developed into sunscreen cosmetics from natural ingredients

The emergence of online learning has become important during the COVID -19 pandemic due to the advent of internet technology. The unpreparedness of planning and implementing online learning has caused many problems during the pandemic such as limited or monotonous academic materials as well as difficulty in organizing activities and student involvement. Online learning is also more stressful because students are stuck in private academic processes in the absence of challenging and fun activities leading to knowledge development difficulties. Therefore, this study aims to develop and analyze the feasibility of a gamification model for case and project-based online learning in universities. This analysis used the research and development (R&D) method with the experimental procedure containing model development as well as product validation and testing. In the validation process, two learning design and media experts as well as 76 students participated with a descriptive statistical analysis used to analyze the data. The results of the learning design experts’ assessment showed a score of 4.35, learning media experts’ assessment showed a score of 4.90 and the average score of the students' assessment was 4.33. Based on the results, the developed learning model was feasible to use in university academic processes

This article reports the experience of implementing the action research to apply the Socratic dialogue method through lesson study in the lecture of Educational Profession to improve critical thinking skills of the university students. The subject of this action research is 36 students (22 women and 14 men) in grade VI class B, Department Guidance and Counseling (BK), Faculty of Education, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) on academic years 2016/2017. This action research conducted in cycles (reported in three cycles) which is integrated into the activities of lesson study. In every cycle consisted of a plan, action, observation/evaluation and reflection phase. Critical thinking skills are assessed through observation activities in group discussion activities and classes, as well as through student response in solving essay test (on cases analysis), which assessed by a rubric assessment of students critical thinking skills at each end of the course. The results showed that the mean of the critical thinking skills of students at the end of the first cycle is 50 (low), then at the end of the second cycle increased to 65 (average) and at the end of the third cycle increased again to 89 (high). Research also shows that the lesson learned were founded through collaborating and careful observation of the course observer with researchers in identifying strengths and constraints and to produce efforts to improve the implementation of the course to improve the quality of learning
