    Background: Good short term memory ability is essential in order to improve children's academic achievement. Decrease in short term memory function can be found in children on Iodine Deficiency Disorders (IDD) endemic area. Urinary Iodine (UI) concentrations is the recommended method to determine status of IDD endemic area.Aim: To determine the correlation of urinary iodine concentrations and short term memory in elementary school children in IDD endemic area.Methods: This was an analytic observational study with cross sectional design. Samples were 50 elementary school children aged 9-11 years old who lived in IDD endemic area in Sub Kertek, Wonosobo Regency, Central Java Province. Short term memory function was evaluated by Digit Span test. Spot urine samples were retrieved to assess UI concentrations. Spearman test were used for statistical analysis.Results: Median ± deviation standard digit span forward score 4.00 ± 0.89, digit span backward score 2.00 ± 0.35, digit span scaled score 5.00 ± 1.64, and UI concentrations 287.00 ± 64.49 μg/L. There were significant correlation between UI concentrations with digit span forward score (p=0.009) and digit span scaled score (p=0.009) but not significant with digit span backward score (p=0.136)Conclusion: There were positive correlation between UI concentrations and short term memory in elementary school children on IDD endemic area

    Evaluation of Work Performance Two Types of Community TB Workers in Gianyar Regency

    Background and purpose: One of the strategies adopted to improve coverage of TB patients (BTA+) in GianyarRegency is to involve the pakraman (desa adat) TB cadres and the regular (PPTI) TB cadres with four tasks in order tohelp health care workers to trace and find tuberculosis suspect patients. The purpose of this study was to evaluatework performance between two types of community TB cadres in Gianyar Regency.Methods: This study was an observational research using secondary data of cadres work reports and interview tostudy participants to understand cadres characteristics and health workers supervision. Numbers of participants wereall village TB cadres namely 29 pakraman and 88 regular TB cadres located in Gianyar Regency. Data collection wascarried out using questionnaires and observation sheets. Univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis was conducted.Results: The result shown that work performance of pakraman TB cadres was statistically better than regular TBcadres (adjusted RP=6.1; 95%CI: 3.3-11.2). Better work performance of pakraman TB cadres was found in all four tasksof cadres namely helping education (adjusted RP=7.8; 95%CI: 4.2-14.2), finding tuberculosis suspects (adjusted RP=7.4;95%CI: 1.7-33.1), tracing of defaulters TB suspects (adjusted RP=17.1; 95%CI: 1.8-166.4) and tracing loss of follow up TBpatients (adjusted RP=3.8 x 108 (95%CI: 1.6-8.9 x 108).Conclusion: Work performance of pakraman TB cadres was better than regular TB cadres in all four tasks. &nbsp

    This study aims is to determine the effect of job satisfaction, organizational support, and transformational leadership style on employee motivation. The sampling method used in ithis study is saturated sampling or census sampling the determination of the number of samples from all members of the population. Population of this research is 61 employer. Data were collected using questionnaires and analized by Multiple Linear Regression Technique. The results show that 1) job satisfaction significant positive effect on employee motivation, 2) organizational support significant positive effect on employee motivation, 3) transformational leadership style significant positive effect on employee motivation. The result is expected to be a reference for the Indonesian banking industry in particular, Bank Mandiri Branch Veterans in identifying variables that can affect employee motivation in an effort to improve motivation, determine policies related to organizational support, and implementation of transformational leadership style. The highest value of standardized beta coefficients are variable organizational support which has a positive influence and the most dominant influence the motivation of employees at Bank Mandiri Tbk. amounted to 0.395, this means that the level of motivation is strongly influenced by the organizational suppor

    The Influence of Organizational Commitment on Budgetary Slack with Career Uncertainty as Moderating Variables (In the Context of Participative Budgets Preparation)

    This study aims to obtain an empirical evidence about the ability of career uncertainty in moderating the effect of organizational commitment on budgetary slack. This research was conducted at the Regional Government Organizations in the Gianyar Regency where the research sample was echelon III and echelon IV officials. The sampling technique uses non probability sampling with a purposive sampling method. This study uses 163 research samples. The data analysis technique used is Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The test results provide empirical evidence that career uncertainty weakens the effect of organizational commitment on budgetary slack. This shows that the lower the organizational commitment of echelon III and echelon IV officials in the Gianyar Regency Government, the budgetary slack will be higher, especially in conditions of high career uncertainty. Based on this, the Gianyar Regency Government is expected to reduce the level of career uncertainty, so that officials involved in participatory budgeting can increase organizational commitment so that budgetary slack can be reduced

    Kapal penumpang sebagai sarana antar jemput terjadwal bagi warga Marunda untuk menghindari kepadatan lalu lintas darat menuju Muara Baru Jakarta, menempuh jarak 10.26 mil dengan mengangkut rata-rata 20 penumpang per hari. Namun dengan penggerak kapal yang masih menggunakan BBM, pengoperasian kapal hingga akhir 2016 sempat mengalami kendala, karena telatnya pasokan BBM menyebabkan kapal penumpang berhenti beroperasi. Tugas Akhir ini bertujuan mendesain water bus sebagai kapal penumpang dengan pelayanan terjadwal, yang memanfaatkan energi matahari sebagai sumber energi untuk penggerak kapal agar mengurangi penggunaan kendaraan bermotor dan penggunaan BBM. Metode yang di gunakan dalam mendesain kapal ini yaitu metode trend curve approach. Ukuran utama kapal yang didapat adalah LOA = 9.71 m, B = 3.15 m, T = 0.56 m, H = 1.17 m, B1 = 1.06 m, Cb = 0.409, dan Vs = 11 knots dengan kapasitas jumlah penumpang 20 orang. Daya baterai sebesar 60 Kwh dan daya panel surya yang terpasang sebesar 3000 Wp
