    Aktivitas Antiplasmodium in Vivo Fraksi N-butanol Kulit Batang Mahoni (Swietenia Mahagoni) Dan Asam Klorogenat

    An antiplasmodial activity of n-butanol fraction from mahoni bark extract (Swietenia mahagoni Jacq.) and pure compound chlorogenic acid were investigated on white male miceSwiss derivated strain which were infected by Plasmodium berghei ANKA strain. Samplewere administrated i.p ., which n-butanol fraction with convertion dose 100, 200 and 400 mg/kgBW and chlorogenic acid with dose 0,01; 0,1; 1 and 10 mg/kg BW respectively for a period of 4days, consecutively started one day after parasit inoculation.Parasit persentage was counted daily (H0 to H4).The best aniplasmodial activity was shown by n-butanol fraction with convertion dose 200mg/kg BW (fraction dose 81,89 mg/ kg BW )with inhibition persentage 45.05% and chlorogenic acidwith dose 10 mg/kg BW with inhibition persentage 55,51%.&nbsp

    Aktivitas Antioksidan Senyawa Fenol dari Manggis Hutan (Garcinia Bancana Miq.)

    Telah dilakukan uji aktivitas antioksidan dari tiga senyawa fenol 1,5-dihidroksi-3,6-dimetoksi-2,7-di-(3-metilbut-2-enil)santon (1), (-)-epikatekin (2), dan isosantosimol (3) dari kulit batang manggis hutan (G. bancana). Uji aktivitas dilakukan dengan metode santin oksidase (XO) berdasarkan jumlah asam urat yang terbentuk. Hasil pengukuran meunjukkan nilai IC50 untuk ketiga senyawa berturut-turut 9,7; > 200; dan 8,6 μg/mL. Berdasarkan nilai IC50 ini disimpulkan bahwa isosantosimol (3) dan (-)-epikatekin (2) bersifat aktif antioksidan sedangkan 1,5-dihidroksi-3,6- dimetoksi-2,7-di-(3-metilbut-2-enil)santon bersifat tidak aktif

    Tracer metal (ng/g) elements in water can be determined solely by a qualitative or quantitative analysis using preconcentration method. This method improves the sensitivity of Neutron Activation Analysis (NAA) into part per billion (ppb) levels, therefore the type and quantity of metal in the water of PDAM can be determined. Preconcentration method was performed by adding diethyldithiocarbamate (DDC) into water sample to produce complex metal sediment. The sediment was irradiated inside TRIGA 2000 reactor in P3TkN for 3 minutes with the pneumatic tube facilities and readusing γ-ray spectrometer. The result ensures diethyldithiocarbamate is possible to apply in preconcentrated method for NAA, the alkali and halogen disturbance ions could also be reduced. Quantitatively, elements in PDAM water are natrium, aluminium, clorine, zirconium, iodine, calcium, manganese, and magnesium.
