Towards an integrated model for citizen adoption of E-government services in developing countries: A Saudi Arabia case study

    No full text
This paper considers the challenges that face the widespread adoption of E-government in developing countries, using Saudi Arabian our case study. E-government can be defined based on an existing set of requirements. In this paper we define E-government as a matrix of stakeholders; governments to governments, governments to business and governments to citizens using information and communications technology to deliver and consume services. E-government has been implemented for a considerable time in developed countries. However E-government services still faces many challenges their implemented and general adoption in developing countries. Therefore, this paper presents an integrated model for ascertaining the intention to adopt E-government services and thereby aid governments in accessing what is required to increase adoption

    Quasiperpendicular high Mach number Shocks

Shock waves exist throughout the universe and are fundamental to understanding the nature of collisionless plasmas. Reformation is a process, driven by microphysics, which typically occurs at high Mach number supercritical shocks. While ongoing studies have investigated this process extensively both theoretically and via simulations, their observations remain few and far between. In this letter we present a study of very high Mach number shocks in a parameter space that has been poorly explored and we identify reformation using in situ magnetic field observations from the Cassini spacecraft at 10 AU. This has given us an insight into quasi-perpendicular shocks across two orders of magnitude in Alfven Mach number (MA) which could potentially bridge the gap between modest terrestrial shocks and more exotic astrophysical shocks. For the first time, we show evidence for cyclic reformation controlled by specular ion reflection occurring at the predicted timescale of ~0.3 {\tau}c, where {\tau}c is the ion gyroperiod. In addition, we experimentally reveal the relationship between reformation and MA and focus on the magnetic structure of such shocks to further show that for the same MA, a reforming shock exhibits stronger magnetic field amplification than a shock that is not reforming.Comment: Accepted and Published in Physical Review Letters (2015

Blastocystis hominis is an obligate and aerobic protozoa, a world waded distribution between human and animals. Anew simplified of culturing parasite is prepared. One hundred fresh positive stool samples were inoculated in tube containing a new media. This media contain simple compound like ringer solution, water rice cooked and don’t need serum add. Tubes were incubated at 37c°, culture's was examined after 24, 48 and 72hours, culture became positive after 24hr, and the number of parasite was (1830) while after 48hr was (1525) but after 72hr the numbers of parasite began decreasing and became (381.25). The multiform of parasite described but vacuolar and granular form more observed. This culture is a new, quick and easy method for culturing Blastocystis    homini also not require to add serum. Keywords: Blastocystis hominis, vacuolar, granular, culture media

Interpretation of Nuclear Quadrupole Resonance Spectra in Doped La2_2CuO4_4

The nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) spectrum of strontium doped La2_2CuO4_4 surprisingly resembles the NQR spectrum of La2_2CuO4_4 doped with excess oxygen, both spectra being dominated by a main peak and one principal satellite peak at similar frequencies. Using first-principles cluster calculations this is investigated here by calculating the electric field gradient (EFG) at the central copper site of the cluster after replacing a lanthanum atom in the cluster with a strontium atom or adding an interstitial oxygen to the cluster. In each case the EFG was increased by approximately 10 % leading unexpectedly to the explanation that the NQR spectra are only accidentally similar and the origins are quite different. Additionally the widths of the peaks in the NQR spectra are explained by the different EFG of copper centres remote from the impurity. A model, based on holes moving rapidly across the planar oxygen atoms, is proposed to explain the observed increase in frequency of both the main and satellite peaks in the NQR spectrum as the doping concentration is increased

Mechanical vibration technique for enhancing mechanical properties of particulate reinforced aluminium alloy matrix composite

    Get PDF
The effects of subjecting solidifying particulate reinforced aluminium alloy matrix composite to various sources of vibration on the resulting casting quality, a mechanical vibration technique for inducing vibration resulting in enhanced mechanical properties, such as impact properties is devised. TiC particulate reinforced LM6 alloy matrix composites are fabricated by different particulate weight fraction of titanium dioxide and microstructure studies were conducted to determine the impact strength and density, respectively. Preliminary works show that the mechanical properties have been improved by using vibration mold during solidification compared to gravity castings without vibration

Hard Candy Lozenges Formulation Of Legundi (Vitex Trifolia L.) Leaf Extract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of sugar level variations (sucrose and glucose) to the physical properties and flavor, as well as to determine the level of consumer preferences on hard candy lozenges of Legundi leaf extract. Hard candy lozenges are produced using the fusion method to create three formulas contain combination of sucrose and glucose, which is FI (70%: 30%), FII (50%: 50%), and FIII (30%: 70%). Hard candy lozenges were tested the physical properties include: uniformity of weight, hardness, moisture content test, a soluble and TLC-densitometry and responsive taste test using a questionnaire with scoring assessment by respondents. The test results were analyzed using SPSS 11.0 for windows with a significance level (α) = 0.05. The results showed that the variation of sucrose and glucose levels affect the physical properties of hard candy lozenges of Legundi leaf extract that increases the hardness level, and increase the time to dissolve (p 0.05). The more sucrose is used it increase the hardness of the tablets and dissolve into the longer time. Based on the perceptive sense test results subjectively of hard candy lozenges of Legundi leaf extract, Formula III is the most favored by respondents with sucrose and glucose ratio of 30%: 70%

Does Inhalation of Virgin Coconut Oil Accelerate Reversal of Airway Remodelling in an Allergic Model of Asthma?

Many studies have been done to evaluate the effect of various natural products in controlling asthma symptoms. Virgin coconut oil (VCO) is known to contain active compounds that have beneficial effects on human health and diseases. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of VCO inhalation on airway remodelling in a rabbit model of allergic asthma. The effects of VCO inhalation on infiltration of airway inflammatory cells, airway structures, goblet cell hyperplasia, and cell proliferation following ovalbumin induction were evaluated. Allergic asthma was induced by a combination of ovalbumin and alum injection and/or followed by ovalbumin inhalation. The effect ofVCOinhalationwas then evaluated via the rescue or the preventive route. Percentage of inflammatory cells infiltration, thickness of epithelium and mucosa regions, and the numbers of goblet and proliferative cells were reduced in the rescue group but not in preventive group. Analysis using a gas chromatography-mass spectrometry found that lauric acid and capric acid were among themost abundant fatty acids present in the sample. Significant improvement was observed in rescue route in alleviating the asthma symptoms, which indicates the VCO was able to relieve asthma-related symptoms more than preventing the onset of asthma

Vibrational moulding process has a remarkable effect on the properties of castings during solidification processing of metals, alloys, and composites. This research paper discusses on the investigation of mechanical vibration mould effects on the tensile properties of titanium carbide particulate reinforced LM6 aluminium alloy composites processed with the frequencies of 10.2 Hz, 12 Hz and 14 Hz. In this experimental work, titanium carbide particulate reinforced LM6 composites were fabricated by carbon dioxide sand moulding process. The quantities of titanium carbide particulate added as reinforcement in the LM6 alloy matrix were varied from 0.2% to 2% by weight fraction. Samples taken from the castings and tensile tests were conducted to determine the tensile strength and modulus of elasticity. The results showed that tensile strength of the composites increased with an increase in the frequency of vibration and increasing titanium carbide particulate reinforcement in the LM6 alloy matrix
