    Telah dilaporkan penelitian untuk mengetahui senyawa yang memiliki aktivitas antioksidan dan antibakteri dalam ekstrak etanol buah namnam (C. cauliflora L.) menggunakan instrumen GC-MS. Hasil analisa GC-MS menunjukkan adanya senyawa 5-hiroksimetilfurfural sebagai komponen utama dalam ekstrak etanol buah namnam. Ekstrak etanol buah namnam memiliki aktivitas antioksidan dengan nilai IC50 sebesar 328,29 ppm dan memiliki aktivitas antibakteri terhadap E. coli dan S. aureus dengan zona hambat masing-masing 16 mm pada konsentrasi 20%

    Water distillation and purification of drought clove (Syzygium arimaticum) interest yields clove interest essential oils 6,5 % (v/w), rust colored ofchocolate, refractive index (25°C) 1,52874, specific mass (25°C) 1,0636 g/ml and condensation in ethanol 70% (1:2) limpid.     Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui toksisitas dari ekstrak daun pandan wangimenggunakan metode Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT). Ekstrak dibuat dengan cara maserasimenggunakan tiga macam pelarut, yaitu butanol, etil asetat, dan petroleum eter. Uji toksisitasdilakukan dengan menggunakan larva udang Artemia salina Leach yang berumur 48 jam. Efektoksik masing-masing ekstrak diidentifikasi dengan presentase kematian larva udangmenggunakan analisis probit (LC50). Ekstrak aktif kemudian diuji kandungan fitokimianya dansenyawa bioaktif yang terkandung di dalamnya dengan menggunakan GC-MS.     Sifat Fisiko Kimia Dan Aktivitas Antioksidan Minyak Kelapa Murni (Vco) Hasil Fermentasi Rhizopus Orizae

    Research on physicochemical properties and antioxidant activity of VCO obtained from Rhizopus orizaefermentation had been done. Antioxidant activity was determined by DPPH method. Production of VCO had been carried out from coconut sample obtained from Pandeglang region with fermentation by Rhizopusorizae in variation of inoculum asfollow 2%, 5%, 7%, 10% and 12 %. Physicochemical test consist of density, refractive index, water content, free fatty acid, iodine value, peroxide value while the composition of fatty acid determined by GCMS, The result showed that variation of inoculum had significantly 0,024 influenced the yielded of VCO producted. Based on this result, quality of VCO still in the range of CODEX Standard, 19-1991rev.2-1999. It was found that antioxidant activity of VCO only 6.3% at 1000 ppm. The composition offatty acid based in lauric acid content measured by GCMS showed a significant result (49.48%-50%) agreed with COD EX Standard

    Karakterisasi Senyawa Hasil Isolasi Dari Ekstrak Etil Asetat Daun Namnam (Cynometra Cauliflora L.) Yang Memiliki Aktivitas Antibakteri

    Namnam is known as a plant family of fabacea that contains phenolic compounds with diverse biological activities including antibacterial. The aim of this study was to isolate and characterize the antibacterial activity of compounds isolated from ethyl acetate extract of the leaves namanam (Cynometra cauliflora L.). Extraction was done by maceration, fractionation by column chromatography, antibacterial essay by disc diffusion method, and characterization of compounds with UV-Vis, FTIR spectroscopy and LCMS. Ethyl acetate extracts have antibacterial activity with inhibition zone respectively 12.25 and 6.00 mm to Escherecia coli and Stapilococcus aureus at a concentration of 100,000 ppm. The results of column chromatography fractions 23-30 yielded three isolates with Rf 0.20 cm; 0.33 cm and 0.87 cm. Characteristics of antibacterial active compounds in isolates 2 (Rf 0.33 cm) is based on the analysis results are UV-Vis absorption at λmaks 206.93 nm, 268.40 nm, 328.58 nm, 383.98 nm and 386.98 nm , FTIR (KBr) showed -OH group 3415.68 cm-1, CH 2958.10 cm-1, C = C aromatic 1651.18 cm-1, C-OH cyclic 1019.88 cm-1 and CH aromatic 694.56 cm-1 and LCMS produce three main peak at a retention time of 4.82; 6.87 and 7.64 which is thought to be the compound 2-isopropyl-5-metilsikloheksil 2-hidroksipropanoat, Cuelure, and 2-[(2-Hydroxycyclohexyl) oxy] cyclohexanecarboxylate

    The testing has been conducted research on the antibacterial activity of aqueous extracts of flowers kecombrang against E. coli and S. Aureus. This study was aims to provided scientific evidence of excellence kecombrang plants as functional food ingredients. Antibacterial activity assays performed using dispersive method.
