    Pemahaman Guru Biologi SMA Kota Surakarta terhadap Hakikat Biologi sebagai Sains

    This study aims to describe the understanding of senior high school biology teacher of Surakarta against the nature of biology as science. The value of understanding of the nature of biology as science was taken form the test. This study was conducted in April 2014. The sample used was 36 biology teachers that is incorated in MGMP Biologi SMA Surakarta. The results showed that average of the understanding is 2,32 that is classified in C with the standard deviation of 0.42. Overall value of understanding distributed into A as much as 0 (0%), A- as much as 0 (0%), B+ as much as 1 (2.78%), B as much as 1 (2.78%), B- as much as 18 (50%), C+ as much as 10 (27,78%), C as much as 4 (11.11%), C-as much as 0 (0%), D as much as 1 (2.78%), and D as much as 1 (2.78%)

    Penelitan ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan persepsi guru biologi SMP Se-Surakarta tentang Biologi sebagai Sains. Penelitian ini juga bertujuan mengungkapkan sejauh mana guru biologi memposisikan dirinya dalam pembelalajaran biologi. Sejalan dengan tujuan yang ingin dicapai, penelitiann ini merupakan peneliti eksplorasi. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah convenience sampling atau captive sampling karena bertujuan untuk menjajagi persepsi guru. Sampel diambil sebanyak 62 orang guru biologi yaitu semua guru peserta yang hadir pada saat peneliti melakukan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di MGMP IPA Biologi SMP di Kota Surakarta. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan angket. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan hanya ada 6 orang guru atau sekitar 9,7% yang menyatakan bahwa biologi mempunyai dimensi proses, produk, dan sikap ilmiah. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pemahaman guru biologi terhadap hakikat biologi sebagai sains masih rendah. Guru biologi belum mengoptimalkan perannya sebagai fasilitator dalam mendampingi siswanya dalam menemukan konsep melalaui proses sains

    The Profile of the Utilization of Information and Communication Technology and Its Potency for Blended Learning Development in Biology Education Department of Teacher Training and Education Faculty of UNS

    The purpose of this research is to describe the profile of the utilization of information and communication technology (ICT) as well as the potential for blended learning development in students of Biology Education Department of Teacher Training and Education Faculty of UNS. The research is descriptive research. The sample used is biology education student consist of students in 2nd, 4th, and 6th semester totaled 90 students on academic year 2014/ 2015 .The survey proportionally was done in March 2015. The data of the research described qualitatively as well as using descriptive statistics. The utilization of information and communication technology on biology education student of is quite high and mostly used for purposes of social networking which is indicated by average of social network account ownership is more than 4 social network accounts. In addition, the frequency of internet access per student are also high that is once a day as many as 35 students (38.89%) more than once/week as much as 9 students (10%), once a week as much as 1 student (1.11%), and the rest with a frequency not necessarily as many as 45 students (50%). The development of blended learning in Biology Education is possible to do. This is supported by the existence of various activities the use of ICT for the purposes of teaching and learning for example for assignments submitting via e-mail, accessing material of the lectures of lecture\u27s blog or another site suggested by lecturer, accessing the journal research or subject content, discussion through social networking guided by the lecturer. The form of the development of blended learning which most allows is to use the LMS (Learning Management System)

    Both whorsippers of extrem rationalism and religious fundamentalists have the tendency of reducting reality in their mere perspective and approach. On the one hand, the extrem rationalists emphasize their approach to reality based on mere verificative and empirical method in so far as there could be no room for religious explanation. On the other hand, religious fundamentalists face the modern world by purifying their doctrines, strengthening the identity, restrictring their normative principles, and taking religion up to the strategy of politic on freedom. It certainly is critical and crucial to watch on reason and faith in each proportion without tending to absolutize its perspective since any tendency to absolutize perspective reduces human capacity to approach reality naively.     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model Blended E-learning Cooperative Approach (BeLCA) tipe TGT dilengkapi modul terhadap prestasi belajar siswa SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta pada materi pokok Hidrokarbon kelas X semester II tahun ajaran 2011/2012. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Randomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta tahun ajaran 2011/2012. Sampel terdiri dari 2 kelas, yaitu kelas X.2 sebagai kelas eksperimen (model BeLCA tipe TGT dilengkapi modul) dan kelas X.3 sebagai kelas kontrol (model konvensional) yang dipilih secara cluster random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode tes objektif untuk prestasi belajar kognitif dan metode angket untuk prestasi belajar afektif. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji t-pihak kanan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata selisih prestasi belajar kognitif dan afektif siswa kelas eksperimen (model pembelajaran Blended e-learning Cooperative Appoach (BeLCA) dilengkapi modul) yang masing-masing sebesar 47,48 dan 106,34 lebih tinggi daripada rata-rata selisih prestasi belajar kognitif dan afektif siswa kelas control (model konvensional) yang masing-masing sebesar 40,07 dan 99,97. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa Model pembelajaran Blended e-learning Cooperative Appoach (BeLCA) dilengkapi modul efektif untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta pada materi pokok Hidrokarbon kelas X semester II tahun ajaran 2011/2012

    Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui (1) Efektivitas penggunaan metode NHT dengan media roda impian terhadap prestasi belajar siswa materi sistem periodik unsur, (2) Efektivitas penggunaan metode TPS dengan media roda impian terhadap prestasi belajar siswa materi sistem periodik unsur, dan (3) Efektivitas penggunaan metode NHT dengan media roda impian dan metode TPS dengan media roda impian terhadap prestasi belajar siswa materi sistem periodik unsur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen, sampel terdiri dari 3 kelas, data prestasi kognitif menggunakan tes, prestasi afektif menggunakan angket, uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t-pihak kanan.     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran kooperatif Teams Assisted Individualization (TAI) dengan media kartu pintar dilengkapi peta konsep terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada materi Stoikiometri kelas X semester genap SMA Negeri 7 Surakarta tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain posttest-only control design dan teknik analisis data untuk menguji hipotesis menggunakan uji t-pihak kanan. Sampel terdiri dari 2 kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen yang diberi perlakuan model pembelajaran Teams Assisted Individualization (TAI) dengan media kartu pintar dilengkapi peta konsep dan kelas kontrol yang diberi perlakuan metode ceramah dan diskusi. Teknik pengumpulan data prestasi belajar aspek pengetahuan menggunakan tes sedangkan prestasi belajar aspek sikap menggunakan angket penilaian diri. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan model kooperatif Teams Assisted Individualization (TAI) dibantu media kartu pintar dilengkapi peta konsep efektif dilihat dari prestasi belajar siswa pada materi Stoikiometri kelas X semester genap SMA Negeri 7 Surakarta tahun ajaran 2013/2014

    The aims of this study is to examine the effectiveness of learning with aconstructivist approach that is applied on Teaching and Learning Strategies course inimproving the quality of the learning process and student achievement of competencystandards and to identify the perceptions of students regarding the application ofconstructivist approaches to learning Teaching and Learning Strategies course atChemical Education Department, Teacher Training And Education Faculty, SebelasMaret University. This study uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) procedure, whichconsists of two cycles. Each cycle changes are made in accordance with the desiredpurpose of the study. To describe the action research was used procedures includeplanning (planning), action (action), observation (observation) and reflection (reflection).The subjects of this study are students participating in Teaching and LearningStrategies course at Chemical Education Department, Teacher Training And EducationFaculty, Sebelas Maret University. Instruments and data collection techniques used werequestionnaire, observation sheets, home work and giving tests. Observations are used toobserve students\u27 activity during the learning process. Testing and delivery of tasks usedto reveal the mastery of the material and learning outcomes of students in the attainmentof a predetermined standard of competence. Data analysis using descriptive analysiswith the percentages. The results showed that the application of constructivistapproaches to learning Teaching and Learning Strategies course has proven to increaselearning effectiveness both in terms of both process and learning outcomes. Resultsquestionnaire collected about students\u27 perception was that it could be concluded that theapplication of constructivist approach has made the learning process of teaching andlearning strategies to be interesting, more fun and not boring, the students are moreenthusiastic about learning, encouraging students to learn independently and completetasks as well as possible, more students understanding the material and master thecompetencies in teaching and learning strategies
