Next Generation Television
We are blessed with UHD 4K curved TV, choremecast, 3D TV and various breakthrough services. A story with no illustration leads us to imagination, eventually we end up penetrating to a larger depth. Still , Television = idiot box. We portray here big and small ideas on how our next generation TV. can cope up with injustice, corruption, blues, provide advertisement pleasure, cartoon creation, gesture feedback, data storage and awareness, disaster help, festival togetherness, past pattern , ingredients love, magnificent features of entertainment and rejuvenation coupled with dictionary effect
Local Identification of Subsets of Quantum states: A Stronger Quantum Nonlocality
Nonolocality makes quantum theory nontrivially sacred and useful in the
paradigm of information theoretic tasks. Apart from Bell nonlocality, which
deals with measurement outcome statistics of spatially separated agents, there
is also another kind of quantum nonlocality, that is associated with perfect
distinguishability of quantum states by local operations and classical
communication (LOCC). We propose a distributed task: perfect identification of
subsets of a known set of multipartite orthogonal states by LOCC, namely, local
subset identification. Failure in accomplishing this task guarantees a new
notion of quantum nonlocality, viz., local subset unidentifiability. Here, we
show that both local distinguishability and local markability of quantum states
implies local subset identifiability, but the converse is not necessarily true.
This makes local subset unidentifiability a stronger quantum nonlocal
phenomenon than its predecessors -- local indistinguishability and local
unmarkability. Moreover, we also present an even stronger version of local
subset unidentifiablity involving more than two spatially separated parties
namely, genuine local subset unidentifiability, where a given subset becomes
identifiable if and only if all the parties come together in a common lab.Comment: Initial draft, New results added, Comments are welcom
Relating Cultural Values with Opportunity Evaluation: Evidence from India
The link between social interaction and entrepreneurial activity has attracted considerable attention in the entrepreneurship literature. In this study, we focus on individual cultural values, shaped by interactions in the social space, as they relate to opportunity evaluation, a cornerstone of the entrepreneurial process. We test our predictions in India, a non-Western society that has sustained one of the highest rates of entrepreneurial activity in the world. Our findings suggest that value orientation of high power distance is negatively associated with opportunity evaluation whereas uncertainty avoidance, collectivism, and femininity are positively associated with opportunity evaluation
The beneficial role of N-acetylcysteine as an adjunctive drug in treatment of COVID-19 patients in a tertiary care hospital in India: an observational study
Background: N-acetyl cysteine, a mucolytic agent, demonstrates free radical scavenging and anti-inflammatory properties, and prevents endothelial dysfunction by inhibition of NF-KB and formation of no adducts. This has a potential role to tackle cytokine storms, endothelial dysfunction and prothrombotic state observed in COVID-19 manifestations like ARDS and Multi organ dysfunction. Methods: Institution based descriptive cross sectional study, 164 patients from laboratory confirmed RT PCR positive COVID-19 patients, in the study period from 27th May 2020 to 10th August 2020, were assessed, in medical college Kolkata, a dedicated COVID-19 care facility. Results: It was observed that moderate-severe patients who received N-acetyl cysteine along with standard therapy had average hospital stay duration of 12 days, higher rate of discharge, average duration of oxygen therapy of 8 days, less number of deaths and reduced transfer to critical care facilities. Conclusions: N-acetyl cysteine can be considered as an adjunctive therapy with standard protocol driven care, due to its beneficial anti-inflammatory and free radical scavenging properties
The Applications of Blockchain Technologies to Electricity Markets
This paper is a summary of the CIGRE Technical Brochure 824 The Role of Blockchain Technologies in Power Markets [17]. The work of the contributors to the Technical Brochure is recognised. It is proposed to follow up this work in a new working group with a more in-depth look at the potential applications for blockchain in the area of energy trading
Original Contribution Expression of the longevity proteins by both red and white wines and their cardioprotective components, resveratrol, tyrosol, and hydroxytyrosol
Resveratrol increases longevity through SirT1, which is activated with NAD + supplied by an anti-aging enzyme PBEF. SirT1 interacts with an anti-aging transcription factor, FoxO1, which is negatively regulated by Akt. Since white wine could have similar health benefits as red wine, we determined if white wine and its cardioprotective components possess anti-aging properties by feeding rats with these compounds. The hearts expressed SirT, FoxO, and PBEF in the order of white wine N resveratrol N tyrosol N hydroxytyrosol N red wine, while cardioprotection shown by reduction of infarct size and cardiomyocyte apoptosis followed a different pattern: resveratrol N red wine N hydroxytyrosol N white wine N tyrosol, suggesting the existence of different signaling mechanisms for the induction of longevity and survival. Restoration of Altered MicroRNA Expression in the Ischemic Heart with Resveratrol
Resveratrol, a constituent of red wine, is important for cardioprotection. MicroRNAs are known regulators for genes involved in resveratrol-mediated cardiac remodeling and the regulatory pathway involving microRNA has not been studied so far.We explored the cardioprotection by resveratrol in ischemia/reperfusion model of rat and determined cardiac functions. miRNA profile was determined from isolated RNA using quantitative Real-time PCR based array. Systemic analyses of miRNA array and theirs targets were determined using a number of computational approaches.Cardioprotection by resveratrol and its derivative in ischemia/reperfusion [I/R] rat model was examined with miRNA expression profile. Unique expression pattern were found for each sample, particularly with resveratrol [pure compound] and longevinex [commercial resveratrol formulation] pretreated hearts. Longevinex and resveratrol pretreatment modulates the expression pattern of miRNAs close to the control level based on PCA analyses. Differential expression was observed in over 25 miRNAs, some of them, such as miR-21 were previously implicated in cardiac remodeling. The target genes for the differentially expressed miRNA include genes of various molecular function such as metal ion binding, sodium-potassium ion, transcription factors, which may play key role in reducing I/R injury.Rats pretreated with resveratrol for 3 weeks leads to significant cardioprotection against ischemia/reperfusion injury. A unique signature of miRNA profile is observed in control heart pretreated with resveratrol or longevinex. We have determined specific group of miRNA in heart that have altered during IR injuries. Most of those altered microRNA expressions modulated close to their basal level in resveratrol or longevinex treated I/R mice
