Classification of Low Dimensional Lie Super-Bialgebras

A thorough analysis of Lie super-bialgebra structures on Lie super-algebras osp(1|2) and super-e(2) is presented. Combined technique of computer algebraic computations and a subsequent identification of equivalent structures is applied. In all the cases Poisson-Lie brackets on supergroups are found. Possibility of quantizing them in order to obtain quantum groups is discussed. It turns out to be straightforward for all but one structures for super-E(2) group.Comment: 15 pages, LaTe

Q-power function over Q-commuting variables and deformed XXX, XXZ chains

We find certain functional identities for the Gauss q-power function of a sum of q-commuting variables. Then we use these identities to obtain two-parameter twists of the quantum affine algebra U_q (\hat{sl}_2) and of the Yangian Y(sl_2). We determine the corresponding deformed trigonometric and rational quantum R-matrices, which then are used in the computation of deformed XXX and XXZ Hamiltonians.Comment: LaTeX, 12 page

Differential Calculi on Some Quantum Prehomogeneous Vector Spaces

This paper is devoted to study of differential calculi over quadratic algebras, which arise in the theory of quantum bounded symmetric domains. We prove that in the quantum case dimensions of the homogeneous components of the graded vector spaces of k-forms are the same as in the classical case. This result is well-known for quantum matrices. The quadratic algebras, which we consider in the present paper, are q-analogues of the polynomial algebras on prehomogeneous vector spaces of commutative parabolic type. This enables us to prove that the de Rham complex is isomorphic to the dual of a quantum analogue of the generalized Bernstein-Gelfand-Gelfand resolution.Comment: LaTeX2e, 51 pages; changed conten

    Quantum Jordanian twist

The quantum deformation of the Jordanian twist F_qJ for the standard quantum Borel algebra U_q(B) is constructed. It gives the family U_qJ(B) of quantum algebras depending on parameters x and h. In a generic point these algebras represent the hybrid (standard-nonstandard) quantization. The quantum Jordanian twist can be applied to the standard quantization of any Kac-Moody algebra. The corresponding classical r-matrix is a linear combination of the Drinfeld- Jimbo and the Jordanian ones. The obtained two-parametric families of Hopf algebras are smooth and for the limit values of the parameters the standard and nonstandard quantizations are recovered. The twisting element F_qJ also has the correlated limits, in particular when q tends to unity it acquires the canonical form of the Jordanian twist. To illustrate the properties of the quantum Jordanian twist we construct the hybrid quantizations for U(sl(2)) and for the corresponding affine algebra U(hat(sl(2))). The universal quantum R-matrix and its defining representation are presented.Comment: 12 pages, Late

    Peripheric Extended Twists

The properties of the set L of extended jordanian twists are studied. It is shown that the boundaries of L contain twists whose characteristics differ considerably from those of internal points. The extension multipliers of these "peripheric" twists are factorizable. This leads to simplifications in the twisted algebra relations and helps to find the explicit form for coproducts. The peripheric twisted algebra U(sl(4)) is obtained to illustrate the construction. It is shown that the corresponding deformation U_{P}(sl(4)) cannot be connected with the Drinfeld--Jimbo one by a smooth limit procedure. All the carrier algebras for the extended and the peripheric extended twists are proved to be Frobenius.Comment: 16 pages, LaTeX 209. Some misprints have been corrected and new Comments adde

Probing BFKL Dynamics in the Dijet Cross Section at Large Rapidity Intervals in ppbar Collisions at sqrt{s}=1800 and 630 GeV

    Get PDF
Inclusive dijet production at large pseudorapidity intervals (delta_eta) between the two jets has been suggested as a regime for observing BFKL dynamics. We have measured the dijet cross section for large delta_eta in ppbar collisions at sqrt{s}=1800 and 630 GeV using the DO detector. The partonic cross section increases strongly with the size of delta_eta. The observed growth is even stronger than expected on the basis of BFKL resummation in the leading logarithmic approximation. The growth of the partonic cross section can be accommodated with an effective BFKL intercept of a_{BFKL}(20GeV)=1.65+/-0.07.Comment: Published in Physical Review Letter

A Quasi-Model-Independent Search for New Physics at Large Transverse Momentum

    Get PDF
We apply a quasi-model-independent strategy ("Sleuth") to search for new high p_T physics in approximately 100 pb^-1 of ppbar collisions at sqrt(s) = 1.8 TeV collected by the DZero experiment during 1992-1996 at the Fermilab Tevatron. Over thirty-two e mu X, W+jets-like, Z+jets-like, and 3(lepton/photon)X exclusive final states are systematically analyzed for hints of physics beyond the standard model. Simultaneous sensitivity to a variety of models predicting new phenomena at the electroweak scale is demonstrated by testing the method on a particular signature in each set of final states. No evidence of new high p_T physics is observed in the course of this search, and we find that 89% of an ensemble of hypothetical similar experimental runs would have produced a final state with a candidate signal more interesting than the most interesting observed in these data.Comment: 28 pages, 17 figures. Search for bottom squarks in pbarp collisions at sqrt(s)=1.8 TeV

We report on a search for bottom squarks produced in pbarp collisions at sqrt(s) = 1.8 TeV using the D0 detector at Fermilab. Bottom squarks are assumed to be produced in pairs and to decay to the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP) and a b quark with branching fraction of 100%. The LSP is assumed to be the lightest neutralino and stable. We set limits on the production cross section as a function of bottom squark mass and LSP mass.Comment: 5 pages, Latex. submitted 3-12-1999 to PRD - Rapid Communicatio
