AbstractPsychological contract is important construct to understand continuing changes in employment relationships. In that way, anticipatory psychological contract (APC) presents valuable framework to understand graduate students’ beliefs about future employment relationships. Accordingly, the aim of this study was to examine ACP content, i.e. beliefs about employee contributions and employer inducements in the employment relationship. The sample consisted of 271 final year university students form Macedonia and from Serbia enrolled following study programs: psychology and medicine philology/literature and technology and informatics. Questionnaire with 48 statements was administered to measure ACP content. Two-way ANOVA and loglinear analysis were conducted for data analyzing. It was found that students preparing for various occupations from two countries significantly differ in the expressed beliefs about their contributions in the future employment relationship and in their belief about employer inducements in that relationship. In general, surveyed students reported stronger beliefs about employer inducements than about their contributions at work

Republic of Macedonia is an entity described as cultural mosaic, with strong multiethnic and multi-confessional basis, it is a point where East and West meet, it is well-known for the system of Macedonian salad. But, this society even after 25 year of social transition and 2001 Ohrid Agreement did not achieve to find the way of conclusive peace, stability and social eudemonia. The diversity is issue that from time to time produces turbulences, especially at the line of two main identity groups Macedonians-Christian Orthodox and Albanians-Muslim community.Quantitative data in this study were obtained on a sample of 219 young adults from Skopje (95 of Macedonian and 17 of Albanian ethnicity) and Tetovo (76 of Albanian and 31 of Macedonian ethnicity), aged from 18 to 35 years (M = 24.85, SD = 3.2). Main research question is that if there exist differences between young Macedonians and Albanians in their ethnic, religious and national identity? The objective of this paper is to give a scientific picture how categories as gender, marriage, family, ethnicity, religion, living place, Balkan, Europe are perceived by the youth, all this in favour of using them in producing affirmative actions, more productive societal policies and constructive society-building. Multiple social identities: their complexity and inclusiveness, the correlation of identity variables with SII and SIC are among issues analyzed in this paper. National dominance was more frequent among Macedonians. Our findings demonstrate that Albanian participants expressed strong social identity, as Albanians and as being Muslims. Only social identity inclusiveness is significantly related to societal and political attitudes, but ethnicity should be taken into consideration when this relationship is explored

Construction projects participants were surveyed to assess how coordination and communication among stakeholders and quality control in building materials supply process were managed, as well as to evaluate their satisfaction with the structures quality. It was found that the participants’ role and working experience had a statistically significant interaction effect on satisfaction with the structures quality, but their effect on perceived coordination and communication among stakeholders and materials’ quality control wasn’t statistically significant. The results were discussed in light of their importance for effective construction project management from the aspect of human resources, building materials quality and satisfaction with the quality of structures.Účastníci stavebních projektů byli dotazováni, jak hodnotí koordinaci a komunikaci mezi účastníky projektu a kontrolu kvality v procesu dodávky stavebního materiálu a zároveň jak hodnotí svou spokojenost s kvalitou staveb.

This paper investigates how construction projects participants’ evaluations of two aspects of material supply management, i.e. communication and coordination among involved parties and materials quality control, are related to satisfaction with the quality of structures. On a sample of 128 respondents in the Republic of Macedonia a questionnaire was administered to assess study variables. It was found that satisfaction with the quality of structures was relatively low. Respondents assessed materials supply management, i.e. coordination and communication among involved parties, and materials quality control as average. Pearson correlation analysis showed that these two variables as aspects of materials supply management were positively related to satisfaction with the structures quality.Článek zkoumá jak hodnocení dvou aspektů řízení dodávky materiálu (komunikace a spolupráce mezi stranami, kontrola kvality materiálu) z pohledu účastníků stavebního projektu souvisí se spokojeností s kvalitou dodávky.

Life role salience and subjective well-being among Macedonian employees: Does family-supportive organization perception moderate this relationship

Objectives As many studies have shown, one of the most important tendencies of employees nowadays is to achieve work– life balance. Organizations should develop various activities and create supportive climate, within the framework of which employees will have opportunities to realize aforementioned goals which in turn would increase work productivity and work motivation. The aim of this paper was to examine how subjective well-being (life satisfaction and exhaustion) is associated with commitment to work and family roles under the conditions of strongly and weakly perceived organizational support for family life among health care professionals, teachers and bankers in Macedonia. Marriage duration and the number of children were introduced as control variables. Material and Methods This cross-sectional study was conducted on a sample of 198 full-time employed doctors, nurses, teachers and bankers. Research variables were assessed using self-reported measures/ questionnaires. Hierarchical multiple linear regression was performed for data analysis. Results It was revealed that occupational role commitment contributed to highly expressed life satisfaction, while exhaustion was predicted by marital role commitment. These relationships were stronger among surveyed employees who reported positive family-supportive organization perception, but tested moderation effect of this variable was not statistically significant. Findings demonstrated that family-supportive organization perception moderated association of the number of children with life satisfaction, that is, participants who perceived an organization as family-supportive and had more children were more satisfied with their life in general. Conclusions Results highlighted the importance of organizational orientation toward employees, their commitment to work and family roles, and their subjective well-being, as characteristics that might contribute to higher work engagement, success and family satisfaction. Background: Despite the importance of effective assessment and treatment of negative symptoms among patients with psychosis, no validated instruments are available in the Republic of North Macedonia. The aim of this paper was to explore psychometric properties, namely factorial structure, internal consistency, convergent and discriminant validity of the Clinical Assessment Interview for Negative Symptoms (CAINS). Subjects and methods: In this cross-sectional study 82 outpatients diagnosed with psychosis (64 with schizophrenia and 18 with bipolar disorder; female=34, mean age=41.05±10.09) were assessed. Results: The exploratory factor analysis revealed two factorial structure of the negative symptoms as measured by the CAINS, i.e. ‘expression and motivation’ and ‘pleasure’. Two items aimed to measure motivation for family relations and motivation for work/school activities loaded on the expression factor instead on motivation and pleasure factor which differs from the original version of the CAINS. Convergent validity was proven by positive relationship to negative symptoms as measured by the BPRS. Positive, but weak correlation with BPRS positive symptoms demonstrated its discriminant validity. Internal consistency of overall CAINS scale and its two subscales was very high. Conclusion: The CAINS can be used to assess negative symptoms in individuals with psychosis in the Macedonian clinical context. Consequently, this work can provide a foundation for further clinical advancement and research of negative symptoms in Macedonian healthcare
