Political globalization can be broadly defined as a phenomenon of global expansion and uniformisation of ideas, values, norms, types of institutions and political practices – e.g. check and balance, a set of universal human rights, the legitimacy of humanitarian interventions etc. – and also, as an instance of perceiving such problems as global and thus requiring global institutions and procedures to regulate the above mentioned.
