Author: Petra Novotna Institution: Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Kralove, Charles University of Prag Title: Possibility of therapeutic intervention tendinopathies at the elbow joint Supervisor: Mgr. Ondrej Nemecek Pages: 81 Inserts: 1 The year of presentation: 2013 Keywords: Enthesopathy, the elbow joint, tennis elbow, kineziotaping This bachelor's degree thesis deals with the issue of enthesopathy in the elbow joint area. An overview of the most commonly occurring types is given and the clinical picture of the different types of this disease is described in detail. Attention is paid to the etiopathogenesis of enthesopathy from the perspective of orthopaedics, physical therapy, and holistic medicine. The examination is described, including medical history and special functional tests. Further, the most commonly used treatments including drug therapy, physical therapy and kineziotaping are described. The practical part is conducted in the form of qualitative research, containing three case study reports of patients with lateral epicondylitis and compares the results of Shockwave therapy, functional physiotherapy and surgical treatment
