Specificity of Correlation Pattern Recognition Methods Application in Security Holograms Identity Control Apparatus
AbstractAutomatic inspection of security hologram (SH) identity is highly demanded issue due high distribution of SH worldwide to protect documents such as passports, driving licenses, banknotes etc. While most of the known approaches use inspection of SH design features none of these approaches inspect the features of its surface relief that is a direct contribution to original master matrix used for these holograms production. In our previous works we represented the device that was developed to provide SH identification by processing of coherent responses of its surface elements. Most of the algorithms used in this device are based on application of correlation pattern recognition methods. The main issue of the present article is a description of these methods application specificities
Structural and optical characteristics of ZnSe and CdSe films condensed on non-oriented substrates
In this work, the complex investigation of structural and optical properties of
zinc and cadmium selenide semiconductor films deposited by close-spaced vacuum
sublimation method using thermal evaporation on non-oriented substrates was carried
out. The structural and phase analyses of the layers condensed at different substrate
temperatures were performed. The transmission and reflection spectra of the investigated
films have been measured and their main optical characteristics have been calculated
Surfase morphology and optical properties of CdSe films obtained by the close-spaced vacuum sublimation technique
Investigation of the surface morphology, growth mechanisms and optical properties of CdSe films obtained by the close-spaced vacuum sublimation (CSVS) technique, which are promising for use as the absorption layers of tandem solar cells and photodetectors, was carried out in the present paper. Measurements of the optical characteristics of the layers were performed by the spectrophotometric analysis method near the βred boundaryβ of semiconductor photoactivity. Performed investigations allowed to obtain the spectral distributions of the transmission T(Ξ»), reflection R(Ξ»), absorption Ξ±(Ξ»), and refraction n(Ξ») coefficients, and the real Ξ΅1(Ξ») and imaginary Ξ΅2(Ξ») parts of the optical dielectric constant of the samples and to define their dependence on the film deposition temperature.

Optical Characteristics and Composition of Cd1 β xMnxTe Films Obtained by the Close Spaced Sublimation Technique
Study of the optical properties of Cd1 β xMnxTe films obtained by the close spaced sublimation technique was carried out. Measuring of the optical characteristics of the layers was performed by the spectrophotometric analysis method near the βred boundaryβ of the semiconductor photoactivity. This research allowed to obtain the spectrum distributions of the transmission T(Ξ»), reflection R(Ξ») and absorption Ξ±(Ξ») coefficients of the films as well as estimate the band-gap energy of the compound. The values of the band-gap energy were used for determination of manganese concen-trations in the films depending on the growth conditions.

Synthesis and characterisation of nanocrystalline ZrN PVD coatings on AISI 430 stainless steel
The nanocrystalline films of zirconium nitride have been synthesized using ion-plasma vacuum-arc deposition technique in combination with high-frequency discharge (RF) on AISI 430 stainless steel at 150 Β°C. Structure examinations X-ray fluorescent analysis (XRF), X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) with microanalysis (EDS), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM), nanoidentation method β were performed to study phase and chemical composition, surface morphology, microstructure and nanohardness of coatings. The developed technology provided low-temperature coatings synthesis, minimized discharge breakdown decreasing formation of macroparticles (MPs) and allowed to deposit ZrN coatings with hardness variation 26.6β¦31.5 GPa. Structural and optical characteristics of ZnSe and CdSe films condensed on non-oriented substrates
In this work, the complex investigation of structural and optical properties of zinc and cadmium selenide semiconductor films deposited by close-spaced vacuum sublimation method using thermal evaporation on non-oriented substrates was carried out. The structural and phase analyses of the layers condensed at different substrate temperatures were performed. The transmission and reflection spectra of the investigated films have been measured and their main optical characteristics have been calculated.

Clinical analysis of blood traces of rats after subcutaneous implantation of Nd-Fe-B magnets with protective PVD ZrN coatings
It is possible to increase the effectiveness of treatment of various anomalies of occlusion with the help of orthodontic appliances, including permanent magnets as components. But a significant disadvantage of magnetic materials is low corrosion resistance, which can be prevented by applying to the magnets various PVD protective coatings leading to passivation of the surface of the magnetic material. Functional protective ZrN coatings on implants for trauma surgery
The nano-crystalline films of zirconium nitride have been synthesized on implants for trauma surgery made of AISI 316 L stainles steel by using vacuum-arc deposition under RF-biasing mode in βBulatβ type device. Structure examinations β X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), X-ray fluoriscent analysis (XRF), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) with microanalysis (EDX), nanoidentation method β were performed to study phase and chemical composition, surface morphology, microstructure and nanohardness of ZrN coatings. Anti-corrosion ceramic coatings on the surface of Nd-Fe-B repelling magnets
The results of vacuum-arc deposition of thin ZrOβ coatings to protect the surface of Nd-Fe-B permanent magnets used as repelling devices in orthodontics are presented. The structure, phase composition and mechanical properties of zirconium dioxide films have been investigated by means of SEM, XRD, EDX, XRF, and nanoindentation method. It was revealed the formation of polycrystalline ZrOβ films of monoclinic modification with average grain size 25 nm. The influence of the ZrOβ coating in terms of its barrier properties for corrosion in quasi-physiological 0.9 NaCl solution has been studied. Elasticity module and hardness of niobium and tantalum anode oxide films
The elasticity modulus and hardness of oxide films obtained by anodic oxidation of niobium and tantalum have been studied. Relation of these characteristics with surface oxide thickness has been considered. It is established that the amorphous oxide coatings of small thickness show an anomalous high elasticity and are capable to withstand considerable deformations without the oxide film failure. This property is lost when the oxide film thickness increases. For the first time the elasticity module and hardness values for anodic niobium and tantalum oxide films of various thickness have been obtained
