Variable Control Charts Based on Percentiles of the New Weibull-Pareto Distribution
<p>A variable quality characteristic is assumed to follow the new weibull-Pareto distribution. Based on the evaluated percentiles of sample statistic like<br />mean, median, midrange, range and standard deviation, the control limits for the<br />respective control charts are developed . The admissibility and power of the control<br />limits is assessed in comparison with those based on the popular Shewhart control<br />limits.</p
DISCRIMINATING BETWEEN LOG-LOGISTIC AND RAYLEIGH DISTRIBUTIONS
<div>Test statistics based on likelihood function, order statistics, population quantiles are suggested to discriminate between log-logistic distribution and Rayleigh distribution. Because of non tractability of their exact sampling distributions, the percentiles of the proposed test statistics are tabulated with the help of simulated sampling distributions of the test statistics. The power of the test statistics are also tabulated and a comparative study w.r.t. the powers for a given sample and the level of signicance are worked out.</div
Variable control charts based on Exponential-Gamma distributions
The well known variable control charts for mean and range of subgroups for a skewed distributions , Exponetial-Gamma are constructed by two different approaches. One from the first principles of using the percentiles of sampling distribution of sample mean and sample range and the other is based on the popular Shewart control limits. The coverage probabilities in both the approaches are computed through simulation and compared

A variable quality characteristic is assumed to follow the new weibull-Pareto distribution. Based on the evaluated percentiles of sample statistic likemean, median, midrange, range and standard deviation, the control limits for therespective control charts are developed . The admissibility and power of the controllimits is assessed in comparison with those based on the popular Shewhart controllimits
Extreme Value Charts & ANOM based on IRD
A measurable quality characteristic is assumed to follow Inverse Rayleigh Distribution. Variable control charts based on extreme values of each subgroup are constructed. The technique of analysis of means (ANOM) is adopted to workout the decision lines of Inverse Rayleigh Distribution(IRD). The preferability of the proposed ANOM decision lines over that of Ott(1967) is illustrated by some examples
