Anisotropic Isometric Fluctuation Relations in experiment and theory on a self-propelled rod
The Isometric Fluctuation Relation (IFR) [P.I. Hurtado et al., PNAS 108, 7704
(2011)] relates the relative probability of current fluctuations of fixed
magnitude in different spatial directions. We test its validity in an
experiment on a tapered rod, rendered motile by vertical vibration and immersed
in a sea of spherical beads. We analyse the statistics of the velocity vector
of the rod and show that they depart significantly from the IFR of Hurtado et
al. Aided by a Langevin-equation model we show that our measurements are
largely described by an anisotropic generalization of the IFR [R. Villavicencio
et al., EPL 105, 30009 (2014)], with no fitting parameters, but with a
discrepancy in the prefactor whose origin may lie in the detailed statistics of
the microscopic noise. The experimentally determined Large-Deviation Function
of the velocity vector has a kink on a curve in the plane.Comment: 6 pages, 4 figure
Two Phonon Interactions and Charge Density Wave in Single Crystalline VSe2 Probed by Raman Spectroscopy
Charge density wave (CDW) is a unique phenomenon mostly realized in
two-dimensional (2D) metallic layered transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs).
Here, we report on Raman spectroscopy of single crystal 1T-VSe2 and observed
signature of commensurate CDW (C-CDW) and incommensurate (I-CDW) transition, in
the temperature range of 50-120 K. The room temperature Raman spectra showed a
sharp A1g mode ~ 206 cm-1 along with two new weak and broad Raman modes
associated to Eg mode ~ 257 cm-1 and two-phonon mode (2ph) ~ 332 cm-1. The
onset of I-CDW and C-CDW is estimated from resistance measurements supported by
magnetic measurements. Remarkably, at the onset of I-CDW ~ 115 K, a significant
enhancement in the intensity of weak Eg mode is observed along with emergence
of a doubly degenerate Eg(2) mode ~ 144 cm-1. Below 70 K, a weak A1g mode ~ 170
cm-1 emerged signifying the onset of C-CDW. Anomalous phonon softening of Eg
mode ~ 257 cm-1 and 2ph process mode below I-CDW has been also observed, which
is signifying the involvement of electron-phonon coupling
FIXED POINT THEOREM IN FUZZY METRIC SPACE WITH THE PROPERTY
The purpose of this paper is to prove a common fixed point theorem for semi-compatible and occasionally weakly compatible mappings in fuzzy metric space by using the property (E.A.) and implicit relation. Our result generalizes the result of [14]. Keywords: Fuzzy metric space, property (E.A.), semi-compatible and weakly compatible mappings. 2010 MSC: Primary 54E70; Secondary 54H25
Common coupled fixed point theorems for contractive mappings in fuzzy metric spaces
The purpose of this paper is to give some new fixed point theorems for contractive type mappings in fuzzy metric spaces. The results presented improve and generalize some recent result. The result is a genuine generalization of the corresponding result of S.Sedghi et al. (2010). Keywords: Fuzzy metric space, t-norm, g-convergent, coupled common fixed point. 2010 MSC: Primary 54E70; Secondary 54H25
Fixed Point Theorem For Weakly Compatible Maps In Fuzzy Metric Space
In this paper, the concept of weakly compatible maps in hausdorff fuzzy metric space has been applied to prove fuzzy fixed point theorems. A fixed point theorems for six self maps has been established using the concept of compatible maps of type hausdorff, which generalizes the result of Cho [1]. Keywords: Fuzzy metric space, fuzzy fixed point, t-norm and weak compatible map
Assessment of awareness towards pharmacovigilance programme of india and reporting of adverse drug reactions among nurses in a tertiary care hospital
Background: The success of PvPI depends upon spontaneous reporting of ADRs by health care professionals especially nurses as they are usually first contact persons for patients in case of ADRs after use of medicines. Underreporting of ADRs due to inadequate reporting culture among health care professionals is the main hindrance in the path of this programme. So, to assess the awareness, attitude and practices of nurses regarding PvPI and ADR reporting this study was undertaken. Methods: It was a cross-sectional, questionnaire-based study in which 130 nurses responded. The 12-items questionnaire feedback form provided by Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) was used to assess the awareness of nurses towards pharmacovigilance programme and Adverse Drug Reaction (ADR) reporting practices. Results: After analysing the questionnaire, it was observed that, despite satisfactory level of awareness and interest of the nurses to participate in this programme, still there is meagre ADR reporting practices among the nurses. Conclusions: Lack of reporting culture and improper communication is the root of problem which should be overcome in future by proper training for patient safety
Renewable and Non-Conventional Energy Sources and Engineering System
Energy is the gift of nature to man kind in various forms. Energy is the need for all kinds of work done by human being and nature. There are many sources of energy that help to run the various machines invented by man. But as the population and development activities increases, the requirement of the energy (demand) will also increase. If this trend of continuous exploitation of energy sources, continue the sources are going to be exhausted very soon n near future. So we need to look for the alternative of conventional sources of energy and the best alternative of conventional energy sources are the non-conventional energy sources of energy which are also called renewable source of energy. The conventional source of energy are coal, petroleum, natural gas, etc. which are kind of fossil fuel and non-conventional are renewable sources of energy ar in the form of solar, wind, geothermal, biomass, ocean thermal, hydro and Tidal energy. Sun is the main source of energy
