Face Liveness Detection for Biometric Antispoofing Applications using Color Texture and Distortion Analysis Features

Get PDF
Face recognition is a widely used biometric approach. Face recognition technology has developed rapidly in recent years and it is more direct, user friendly and convenient compared to other methods. But face recognition systems are vulnerable to spoof attacks made by non-real faces. It is an easy way to spoof face recognition systems by facial pictures such as portrait photographs. A secure system needs Liveness detection in order to guard against such spoofing. In this work, face liveness detection approaches are categorized based on the various types techniques used for liveness detection. This categorization helps understanding different spoof attacks scenarios and their relation to the developed solutions. A review of the latest works regarding face liveness detection works is presented. The main aim is to provide a simple path for the future development of novel and more secured face liveness detection approach

Effective Feature Selection for Feature Possessing Group Structure

Get PDF
Feature selection has become an interesting research topic in recent years. It is an effective method to tackle the data with high dimension. The underlying structure has been ignored by the previous feature selection method and it determines the feature individually. Considering this we focus on the problem where feature possess some group structure. To solve this problem we present group feature selection method at group level to execute feature selection. Its objective is to execute the feature selection in within the group and between the group of features that select discriminative features and remove redundant features to obtain optimal subset. We demonstrate our method on data sets and perform the task to achieve classification accuracy

Mitigating the Problem of Packet Dropping & Energy Management in AD-HOC Wireless Network

Get PDF
A mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) is a self-arranged network that consists of mobile routers connected by wireless channels. Anonymity communication is a great challenge in MANET. Though there are many anonymity enhancing techniques that have been introduced. These techniques are based on packet encryption to secure the communication anonymity. Still MANET is vulnerable to passive statistical traffic analysis attacks. There are two features of communication anonymity: end-to-end anonymity and source or destination anonymity. This proposed system is designed to discover the communication pattern without decoding the captured packets. First phase of the proposed system is to search the required node. The search is performed by using a heuristic approach. Second phase is to perform statistical traffic analysis. The purpose of this phase is to discover the data transmission of the searched node to its adjoining nodes. After implementing the statistical traffic analysis whether the searched node plays the role of source or destination is estimated. With the help of this estimation the traffic pattern is discovered. The utility of this proposed system is basically in military environment. In order to track the adversaries attack this system is utilized. The adversaries are not able to know that they have been tracked. This proposed system works passively and perform traffic analysis based on statistical characteristic of captured raw packets

Photoluminescence study of Sr3Y1-X(BO3)3:xTb3+ green emitting phosphor

143-147Terbium doped strontium yttrium borate phosphor is prepared by solution combustion method. Structural characterization of Sr3Y(BO3)3:Tb3+ (SYB:Tb) has been carried out with X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) analysis. Particle size of 0.5–2 µm and perfect element composition were seen in SEM-EDS. Using FTIR at room temperature the presence of [BO3]- group; complete combustion of nitrates, organic material, absence of O-H bond were firmed up. Photoluminescence properties of the phosphor have been investigated by measuring the excitation and emission spectra. Several luminescence bands of Tb3+ ions are observed under 233 nm excitation wavelengths in 350–700 nm spectral region. The emission spectra were composed of three bands, in which the dominated emission of green luminescence SYB:Tb attributed to the transition 5D4→7F5 is centered at 543 nm. The dependence of the emission intensity on the Tb3+ concentration for the Sr3Y1-X(BO3)3:xTb3+ (0.01 ≤ x ≤ 0.05) was studied and observed that the optimum concentration of Tb3+ in phosphor was 3 mol% for the highest emission intensity at 543 nm. The CIE coordinates (X=0.251363409, Y=0.736605581) fall at the border of green region in the CIE 1931 chromaticity

Haemorrhoids are uncomfortable, very common during pregnancy due to various causes. The haemorrhoidal plexus get dilated and inflamed resulting in formation of haemorrhoids. If not treated at proper time may cause bleeding and protrusion of the haemorrhoids. In such a condition, surgical and para-surgical procedures have limitations and use of internally ushna and tikshna kalpas are contraindicated in Garbhini. Keeping in view these problems BILVA Patra Kwath Avgahan sweda karma in Charak Chikitsa sthana - 14/47 was selected to evaluate the effect of Avgahan sweda karma in relieving the signs and symptoms of haemorrhoids. Bilva patra kwath sitz bath was given to the GARBHINI patient suffering from haemorrhoids. Present study has been done on 10 patients and an effort has been made to derive safe, easy accessible treatment in pregnancy. A BILVA patra kwath Avgahan sweda, which has proven Anti-inflammatory7 property relieves venous congestion, relieves spasm of internal sphincter muscles. Assessment done on the basis of criteria, resulting into PR bleeding and significant reduction in size of piles mass without any untoward side effect in pregnancy.</jats:p

In the 21st century, world is heading towards development in different dimensions, especially in the field of Science and technology. In the run of development, standard of living also changes around the globe. On one hand human beings enjoy these developments, on other hand they actually they pay for it. It is their health. Now a days health is going to be a serious issue all over the globe to worry. Basically, it effects under developed and developing countries a lot. Recently many researches show that technological development and globalization also shares ample of health problems to its citizens. Some are incurable and new kinds of diseases came to light which effect the maximum population. These health problems have a great impact on the individuals’ economic condition which ultimately effect the nation’s development. The present research paper is factually a discussion paper, based on secondary data from national and state resources which discusses on the health issue and their impact on economic development of Chhattisgarh state. Chhattisgarh is a state with dense forest cover and many of these areas are conflict-affected, under-served areas are more where doctors are not available to work and lack of adequacy in other staff also. Government has been taking all possible steps to eradicate the problem by implementing health programs and planning. It is an attempt to know the impact of health on economic development, discussion of the problem and its solution as well. This paper analyses current health status affecting economic development of state and its consequences on future which is going to take the shape of a burning issue in the coming future. </jats:p
