Fiatalok társadalomszemlélete nemzedéki metszetben = Social view of young generation

Kutatásunk a kamaszkor kitolódása, a poszt-adoleszcencia jelenségeiről, okairól és következményeiről szólt. Munkánk célja az lett, hogy képet nyerjünk korunk ifjúsága életének és tevékenységének legfontosabb új vonásairól. Ennek érdekében dolgoztuk fel a hazai és külföldi szakirodalmat, készítettünk probléma-feltáró interjúkat, s végeztünk másodelemzéseket nagyobb adatbázisokon. Vizsgálódásaink során megismertük a tanulás és a munka jelenkori világának új tendenciáit, elemeztük a fiatalok szerepeinek, párkapcsolatainak, értékorientációinak alakulását, a nemzedék megváltozott népesedési, társadalmi, kulturális sajátosságait. Kutatásunk legfontosabb eredményeként megjelentettük az „Új ifjúság. Szociológiai tanulmányok a posztadoleszcensekről” című tanulmány-kötetet. Ez tartalmazza Bognár Virág, Tóth Olga, Kabai Imre, illetve az én elemzésemet a fiatal nemzedékről. Vizsgálódásaink egyes eredményeit több hazai és nemzetközi tudományos konferencián ismertettük. Legfontosabb ezek közül az „Új ifjúság” címmel 2008 május 30-31-én az ELTE-n rendezett konferencia volt, amelyen szép számban vettek részt demográfusok, szociológusok és más társadalomkutatók, s ahol vitára is sor került a hazai ifjúságkutatásról. We wanted to know more about the new patterns of the youth’ life and activity in present societies. We worked out in detail the Hungarian and foreign literature about post-adolescence, interviewed youth, and analyzed data-bases for secondary use. By our research we recognized new tendencies of the learning and working process. We analyzed the roles, companionship, value orientation of the youth and how demographic, social and cultural patterns of this generation are changing. Primary result of our research is a book: „New youth. Social studies on post-adolescence”. This volume contains analyses of Virág Bognár, Olga Tóth, Imre Kabai and of mine on the generation. We made known the results of our research in several Hungarian as well as foreign conferences. The most relevant one of them was the conference „New youth” in the ELTE at 30-31 May, 2008. A new proof of R\'edei's theorem on the number of directions

R\'edei and Megyesi proved that the number of directions determined by a $p$ element subset of $\mathbb{F}_p^2$ is either $1$ or at least $\frac{p+3}{2}$. The same result was independently obtained by Dress, Klin and Muzychuk. We give a new and short proof of this result using a Lemma proved by Kiss and the author.
