The research entitled "Innovation management proposal to improve corporate social responsibility in the financial institution Mibanco -Jicamarca, SJL, Lima 2017", aimed to propose a model of innovation management to improve social responsibility for the banking organization Mibanco, located in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho. The research was of non-experimental design, descriptive level, given that the variables of innovation management and corporate social responsibility were described, it was also proposed because a solution alternative was generated to the problem presented by the company in terms of management of innovation and corporate social responsibility and also a level of projective research, as it is expected a benefit of social recognition in the future for the company. Of mixed approach, because the study is based on numerical and theoretical data. The a financial entity quarterly uses an average of 65 thousands of bond paper and that, once the materials are used, a great percentage end up being discarded, for this reason it was proposed to promote a culture of recycling in the financial institution. It was concluded with a proposal for innovation management to improve corporate social responsibility of the financial entity Mibanco - Jicamarca, SJL, Lima, 2017, in response to the poor incorporation of the recycling process. The proposal includes the recycling and sale of paper and staples discarded by the staff of the financial agency in order to raise a fund for social support to the shelter of the homeless elderly.Trabajo de investigació

Lactose binding to human galectin-7 (p53-induced gene 1) induces long-range effects through the protein resulting in increased dimer stability and evidence for positive cooperativity

The product of p53-induced gene 1 is a member of the galectin family, i.e., galectin-7 (Gal-7). To move beyond structural data by X-ray diffraction, we initiated the study of the lectin by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and circular dichroism spectroscopies, and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. In concert, our results indicate that lactose binding to human Gal-7 induces long-range effects (minor conformational shifts and changes in structural dynamics) throughout the protein that result in stabilization of the dimer state, with evidence for positive cooperativity. Monte Carlo fits of (15)N-Gal-7 HSQC titrations with lactose using a two-site model yield K(1) = 0.9 ± 0.6 × 10(3) M(−1) and K(2) = 3.4 ± 0.8 × 10(3) M(−1). Ligand binding-induced stabilization of the Gal-7 dimer was supported by several lines of evidence: MD-based calculations of interaction energies between ligand-loaded and ligand-free states, gel filtration data and hetero-FRET spectroscopy that indicate a highly reduced tendency for dimer dissociation in the presence of lactose, CD-based thermal denaturation showing that the transition temperature of the lectin is significantly increased in the presence of lactose, and saturation transfer difference (STD) NMR using a molecular probe of the monomer state whose presence is diminished in the presence of lactose. MD simulations with the half-loaded ligand-bound state also provided insight into how allosteric signaling may occur. Overall, our results reveal long-range effects on Gal-7 structure and dynamics, which factor into entropic contributions to ligand binding and allow further comparisons with other members of the galectin family

Rights Without Remedies: The Court Party Theory and the Demise of the Court Challenges Program

The author argues that the Court Challenges Program’s 2006 cancellation was based on claims that judicial review is undemocratic, including those made by three academics, Rainer Knopff, F.L. Morton and Ian Brodie; the Court Party Theorists (the “CPT”). Through a study of Charter equality cases, this paper examines the CPT’s arguments regarding judicial activism, interest groups and interveners and finds they are largely unsupported by statistical evidence. Further, the debate about judicial review and democracy obscures judicial review’s important auditing function over the legislature’s constitutional adherence. This audit depends on individuals’ capacity to pursue Charter litigation, an ability compromised by the access to justice crisis. The author examines this crisis and the efforts to fill the funding gap left by the CCP’s cancellation and concludes that a publicly-funded program like the CCP is best-placed to ensure that the Charter remains a relevant tool for enforcing fundamental human rights in Canada.MAS
