Asiakkaiden ja ammattilaisten kokemuksia KRIS Etelä-Suomi ry:n toiminnasta

Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli tuottaa tutkimustietoa selvittämällä, miten KRIS Etelä-Suomi ry:n asiakkaat, vertaistyöntekijät ja yhteistyökumppanit kokevat KRIS Etelä-Suomi ry:n toiminnan. Opinnäytetyössä tarkastellaan erityisesti sitä, miten eri tahot ovat kokeneet yhdistyksen palvelut päihteettömän ja rikoksettoman elämäntavan tukemisessa. Opinnäytetyö on toteutettu laadullisella tutkimusmenetelmällä ja aineisto on kerätty puolistrukturoitua teemahaastattelua käyttäen. Teoreettinen viitekehys muodostuu desistanssin, stigman, vertaistyön ja kokemusasiantuntijatoiminnan käsitteistä. Aineisto on kerätty haastattelemalla seitsemää KRIS Etelä-Suomi ry:n toiminnan eri näkökulmista tuntevaa henkilöä. Viidellä haastateltavista oli tausta KRIS Etelä-Suomi ry:n asiakkaana ja kaksi haastateltavista tunsi yhdistyksen toiminnan yhteistyön kautta. Opinnäytetyön tulokset osoittavat, että KRIS Etelä-Suomi ry:n vertaistuella on myönteinen vaikutus rikoksettoman ja päihteettömän elämän tukemisessa. Yhdistyksen toiminnasta koettiin olevan kokonaisvaltaisesti hyötyä arjenhallinnassa. KRIS Etelä-Suomi ry:n vertaistuesta oli ollut hyötyä rikollisesta leimasta aiheutuneiden tuntemusten ja kokemusten läpikäymisessä. Yhdistyksen kanssa tehtävä yhteistyö oli pääasiassa koettu hyvänä. Kehittämisehdotuksena on toiminnan monipuolistaminen.The aim of this Bachelor’s thesis is to produce information on how the customers of KRIS Etelä-Suomi Association have experienced the organizations function and activities in support of life without substance abuse and criminal lifestyle. The organization aims to help people with substance abuse or criminal behaviour. For the information about the organization’s ways to support lifestyle without crimes and intoxicants we also interviewed peer workers of the organization and professionals who are familiar with the organization. The approach of this thesis was qualitative research and the material of this study was gathered with semi-structured theme based interviews. The concepts of the theoretical framework of this thesis are desistance, stigmatisation associated with criminal history and peer work. The data was collected by individually interviewing seven people who were familiar with the organization. Five of the people who were interviewed had been customers of the organization and two of them had collaborated with the organization. The results of the thesis show that the organization has a positive effect with their customers to maintain lifestyle without intoxicants and crimes. The organization's activities were found to be particularly useful in managing everyday life. The peer support of the organization had been useful for its customers in overcoming the feelings and experiences from their criminal history. Cooperation with the organization was mainly experienced as good. The study suggests that the organization should seek more versatile activities
