Plasma treatment of heat-resistant materials

Refractory lining of thermal generating units is exposed to chemical, thermal, andmechanical attacks. The degree of fracture of heat-resistant materials depends on the chemicalmedium composition, the process temperature and the material porosity. As is known, a shorttermexposure of the surface to low-temperature plasma (LTP) makes possible to createspecific coatings that can improve the properties of workpieces. The aim of this work is toproduce the protective coating on heat-resistant chamotte products using the LTP technique.Experiments have shown that plasma treatment of chamotte products modifies the surface, anda glass-ceramic coating enriched in mullite is formed providing the improvement of heatresistance. For increasing heat resistance of chamotte refractories, pastes comprising mixturesof Bacor, alumina oxide, and chamot were applied to their surfaces in different ratios. It isproved that the appropriate coating cannot be created if only one of heat-resistant componentsis used. The required coatings that can be used and recommended for practical applications areobtained only with the introduction of powder chamot. The paste composition of 50% chamot,25% Bacor, and 25% alumina oxide exposed to plasma treatment, has demonstrated the mostuniform surface fusion

Plasma technologies application for building materials surface modification

Low temperature arc plasma was used to process building surface materials, such as silicate brick, sand lime brick, concrete and wood. It was shown that building surface materials modification with low temperature plasma positively affects frost resistance, water permeability and chemical resistance with high adhesion strength. Short time plasma processing is rather economical than traditional processing thermic methods. Plasma processing makes wood surface uniquely waterproof and gives high operational properties, dimensional and geometrical stability. It also increases compression resistance and decreases inner tensions level in material

Мультидисциплинарная концепция в диагностике и лечении больных с заболеваниями слизистой оболочки полости рта

Заболевания слизистой оболочки полости рта и красной каймы губ имеют затруднения в диагностике, которые обусловлены индивидуальными различиями в строении; многообразием симптомов заболеваний; проявлениями в полости рта симптомов и синдромов общих заболеваний; сходством многих клинических проявлений, элементов поражения при разных заболеваниях; динамическим изменением клинической картины под действием внешних и внутренних факторов; преимущественно хроническим рецидивирующим течением ряда заболеваний; сочетанным наличием ряда заболеваний (красный плоский лишай, грибковый стоматит, лейкоплакия и др.); изменением традиционных форм течения заболеваний, их полиморфной клинической симптоматикой в современных условиях и др. Диагностика в большинстве случаев связана с необходимостью углубленного исследования и лечения у врача-интерниста. В связи с этим целесообразны междисциплинарный подход, создание консультативного центра, разработка способов эффективной ранней диагностики и лечения заболеваний слизистой оболочки полости рта; Захворювання слизової оболонки порожнини рота й червоної облямівки губ мають ускладнення в діагностиці, які зумовлені індивідуальними відмінностями в будові; різноманіттям симптомів захворювань; проявами в порожнині рота симптомів і синдромів загальних захворювань; подібністю багатьох клінічних проявів, елементів ураження при різних захворюваннях; динамічною зміною клінічної картини під дією зовнішніх і внутрішніх факторів; переважно хронічним рецидивуючим перебігом низки захворювань; поєднаністю низки захворювань (червоний плескатий лишай, грибковий стоматит, лейкоплакія та ін.); зміною традиційних форм перебігу захворювань, їхньою поліморфною клінічною симптоматикою в сучасних умовах та ін. Діагностика в більшості випадків пов'язана з необхідністю поглибленого дослідження й лікування в лікаря-інтерніста. У зв'язку з цим доцільні міждисциплінарний підхід, створення консультативного центру, розробка способів ефективної ранньої діагностики й лікування захворювань слизової оболонки порожнини рота; Diseases of oral mucosa and lip red border have some difficulties in diagnostics which are caused with: individual structure distinctions; disease symptom variety; the manifestation of general disease symptoms and syndromes in oral cavity; similarity of many clinical manifestations, injuring elements at different diseases; dynamic change of clinical presentation under the influence of external and internal factors; mainly chronic recurrent clinical course of some diseases; presence of some associated diseases (lichen ruber planus, a fungousstomatitis, leukoplakia, etc.); change of traditional forms of disease clinical course, their polymorphic clinical symptomatology in modern conditions, etc. Diagnostics in most cases is connected with the necessity of profound research and treatment at the doctor-internist. In this case the interdisciplinary approach, creation of the advisory centre, working out of effective early diagnostics ways and treatment of oral mucosa diseases are expedient

Злоякісні новоутворення є однією з актуальних медико-біологічних та соціально-економічних проблем в Україні. Ураження населення цією патологією зростає, смертність не має тенденції до зменшення [2,9]. Підвищення канцерогенного навантаження на населення України обумовлене високим рівнем антропогенного забруднення довкілля, змінами способу життя населення (куріння, зловживання алкоголю, сексуальна та репродуктивна поведінка та ін..), сприяє збільшенню кумулятивного ризику захворіти на рак; Злокачественные новообразования являются одной из актуальных медико-биологических и социально-экономических проблем в Украине. Поражение населения этой патологией возрастает, смертность не имеет тенденции к уменьшению [2,9]. THE PREVENTION, DIAGNOSIS, AND TREATMENT OF VITAMIN D AND CALCIUM DEFICIENCIES IN THE ADULT POPULATION OF RUSSIA AND IN PATIENTS WITH OSTEOPOROSIS (ACCORDING TO THE MATERIALS OF PREPARED CLINICAL RECOMMENDATIONS)

The paper presents data on the role of vitamin D and calcium in the function of many human organs and tissues. Lifestyle, dietary preferences, and insufficient physical activity contribute to the high prevalence of vitamin D and calcium deficiencies in the adult population of Russia, causing different diseases and abnormalities. The authors have worked out recommendations for the preventive use of vitamin D and calcium in healthy population, give consumption rates for these substances, and describe the clinical and laboratory signs of vitamin D deficiency and indications for screening. They also propose treatment regimens for vitamin D deficiency and depict the signs of intoxication inoverdose. Particular emphasis is laid on the place of vitamin D and calcium in the therapy of osteoporosis
