Efficacy of micro algae and cyanobacteria as a live feed for juveniles of shrimp Penaeus monodon
Growth performance and survival of giant tiger shrimp Penaeus monodon fed with five different micro algal diets as a live feed, was evaluated under laboratory condition. The experimental design consisted of feeding the juvenile with micro algal diets and cyanobacterial diets at the same concentrations. Fresh biomass of Chlorella sp., Tetraselmis sp., Isochrysis sp., Synechococcus sp. and Phormidium sp. were used as feed for shrimp P. monodon. Mean total length of shrimp was higher when fed with Chlorella sp. (4.8 cm) followed by Phormidium sp. (4.4 cm) and mean total weight was also higher in shrimp fed with Chlorella sp. (0.59 g) followed by Phormidium sp. (0.569 g). The survival rate of the shrimp was improved in shrimp fed Phormidium sp. (83.33%) and it was decreased in shrimp fed with Isochrysis sp. (36.67%). The shrimp that performed best had significantly more edible flesh (59.35%) (with Chlorella sp.) protein and lipid content (with Phormidium sp.) carbohydrate (with Tetraselmis sp.) Further more, water quality of the tank was better in shrimp fed with Chlorella sp. In general, the research of this study revealed that Chlorella sp. and Phormidium sp. could be used as a live feed for better growth of P. monodon.Key words: Penaeus monodon, micro algae, Synechococcus, Phormidium, Shrimp growth, Chlorella
A Review on Security Attacks in Vehicular Ad hoc Network
Whenever a communication takes place between two or more vehicles there has been a need for protection. The attacker can gain access to the network by compromising either the vehicle or road side unit or the communication medium that transfers the messages between vehicles. Vehicular Ad hoc Network (VANET) have motivated the interest towards the passenger comfort and secure driving environment. However, the open-wide communication becomes a tedious challenge for VANET organization. Because of the wireless self-structured background, VANET are prone to many attackers. In this paper, we are focusing on security issues like DoS, Sybil, DDoS, jamming and flooding attacks as well as techniques like TESLA which causes harm to VANET and also security countermeasures like digital signature which are used to prevent the mentioned security issues that alleviate VANET

O(3) Non-linear model with Hopf term and Higher spin theories
Following our earlier work we argue in detail for the equivalence of the
nonlinear model with Hopf term at~ ~and an interacting
spin-s theory. We give an ansatz for spin-s operators in the model and
show the equivalence of the correlation functions.We also show the relation
between topological and Noether currents. We obtain the Lorentz and discrete
transformation properties of the spin-s operator from the fields of the
model. We also explore the connection of this model with Quantum Hall

Streamflow disaggregation: a nonlinear deterministic approach
International audienceThis study introduces a nonlinear deterministic approach for streamflow disaggregation. According to this approach, the streamflow transformation process from one scale to another is treated as a nonlinear deterministic process, rather than a stochastic process as generally assumed. The approach follows two important steps: (1) reconstruction of the scalar (streamflow) series in a multi-dimensional phase-space for representing the transformation dynamics; and (2) use of a local approximation (nearest neighbor) method for disaggregation. The approach is employed for streamflow disaggregation in the Mississippi River basin, USA. Data of successively doubled resolutions between daily and 16 days (i.e. daily, 2-day, 4-day, 8-day, and 16-day) are studied, and disaggregations are attempted only between successive resolutions (i.e. 2-day to daily, 4-day to 2-day, 8-day to 4-day, and 16-day to 8-day). Comparisons between the disaggregated values and the actual values reveal excellent agreements for all the cases studied, indicating the suitability of the approach for streamflow disaggregation. A further insight into the results reveals that the best results are, in general, achieved for low embedding dimensions (2 or 3) and small number of neighbors (less than 50), suggesting possible presence of nonlinear determinism in the underlying transformation process. A decrease in accuracy with increasing disaggregation scale is also observed, a possible implication of the existence of a scaling regime in streamflow
Assessment of Farm Financial Literacy among Jasmine Growers in Tamilnadu, India
The unique nature of farm financial management calls for farmer to act as an entrepreneur. Being an farm entrepreneur the farmer should have enough financial literacy for effective financial management. Apart from training on production, post-harvest and marketing NAIP had given some information on farm financial management. A study was conducted to assess the financial literacy of jasmine farmers. Standardized knowledge test was employed to assess the financial literacy of farmers. For that, 100 farmers from Erode and 100 famers from Madurai district was surveyed. The collected data were analyzed using percentage analysis, multiple regression and factor analysis. It was concluded that, Erode farmers has high financial literacy than Madurai farmers. The results revealed that, age, education, experience, farm income, years of relationship with the bank, size of landholding, frequency of bank visit and bank account were significantly influenced the financial literacy of farmer. Intrathoracic prosthesis in children in preventing post-pneumonectomy syndrome: Its role in congenital single lung and post-pneumonectomy situations
Background:
Postpneumopnectomy syndrome (PPS) is an extreme rotation and malposition of mediastinum causing dynamic and symptomatic central airway compression, arising after pneumonectomy or more uncommonly, in congenital single-lung physiology. Affected patients present with severe respiratory compromise. Intrathoracic prosthesis placement is an evolving technique in children that mitigate the effects of thoracic dead space. /
Research Question:
Assessment of clinical recovery and functional benefit in children undergoing placement of intrathoracic prosthesis following pneumonectomy or in congenital single lung situations. /
Study Design and Methods:
Retrospective chart review of patients at Great Ormond Street Hospital from 2010 and 2020 was performed of all patients who underwent intrathoracic tissue expander placement. We summarize the outcomes of twenty-four children, including those with both congenital and postpneumonectomy PPS etiology. /
Results:
24 children who underwent placement of intrathoracic prosthesis for PPS in the study period with median age of 3.5 months and weight of 5 kg. Single lung etiology was congenital in 15 children (6 agenesis, 9 hypoplasia), and postpneumonectomy in 9 children. In seven patients, there was associated long segment tracheal stenosis. Pre-operative ECMO was required in 2 patients, and pre-operative ventilation was required in 12 patients – all of whom had congenital single lung. Intrathoracic prosthesis placement was concurrent with intracardiac repair in 5 patients. There were no operative deaths, but one early postoperative death related to septicaemia. Median follow up was 75 months with 10 patients on continued respiratory support and 3 on nocturnal support with good quality of life. Two children needed reoperations for replacement of prosthesis. /
Conclusion:
The use of tissue expanders is within the armamentarium of most plastic surgeons’ practice. We also therefore advocate for a collaborative team approach involving Plastic and Cardiothoracic Surgery for surgical treatment of these patients. This multidisciplinary strategy has improved management of this rare and debilitating condition of PPS, thereby offering significant improvements in general progress of these sick children having single lung physiology. Evidence is still lacking on functional outcomes in these children and further work is necessary to prove that this is indeed achievable
Dual Linearised Gravity in Arbitrary Dimensions
We construct dual formulation of linearised gravity in first order tetrad
formalism in arbitrary dimensions within the path integral framework following
the standard duality algorithm making use of the global shift symmetry of the
tetrad field. The dual partition function is in terms of the (mixed symmetric)
tensor field in {\it frame-like}
formulation. We obtain in d-dimensions the dual Lagrangian in a closed form in
terms of field strength of the dual frame-like field. Next by coupling a source
with the (linear) Riemann tensor in d-dimensions, dual generating functional is
obtained. Using this an operator mapping between (linear) Riemann tensor and
Riemann tensor corresponding to the dual field is derived and we also discuss
